5 things that make me happy (in no particular order):

doodling silly little comics before bed

waking up to the rattle of ice in my coffee on a sleepy weekend day

the smell when i first open a book that’s been on my shelf for a while

family snuggle time especially when Big Lady gives me little headbutts and The Boy makes biscuits on the blanket next to me and purrs so loud he chirps

when all the chores are done and i can sit on the couch with a candle lit and maybe a record playing in the other room

things in life have been marginally on fire since the first week of january including A needing to be ~*~away from home~*~ for the last month

but the silver lining is that by being forced to have me as their sole caretaker the cats have finally accepted me as a source of affection?? like even when A is home??????? i took a sick day today and was languishing on the couch before having to go run errands but then Big Lady came and sat in my lap and i’m 🥹

today i drove to work and didn’t even panic when i saw a spiderweb remnant i am so brave and strong!!!

there was a spider in my car 3 weeks ago so i haven’t been using it but i finally got in and drove it (backed it up in the driveway for maybe 30 seconds total) please clap
