Hi hi it’s been forever! Reinvigorating my art with a Draw This In Your Style hosted by @ acatcie on Instagram!!

She was so much fun to draw! I know this is technically an “In Your Style” challenge and I don’t usually do lineless art but her hair is so vivid and colorful I had to try it. I also went a little crazy with the highlights but hey, I had a blast doing it, and creating art is supposed to be enjoyable, right? I have no regrets >:3 Also I incorporated the clouds of the original into her coat since it looked like a fur lining to me lol (faux fur ofc). I think it makes her look pretty ✨fancy✨

With this piece comes a lot of mixed emotions. I roleplayed these two boys with an old friend of mine, one I am no longer friends with unfortunately. I was Alexei, the tall brunet, and my friend was Emery, the shorter one. This particular drawing is a scene we enacted where they admitted their feelings for each other and had their first kiss. The rainbow mustaches you see around them are spirits and they’re standing in a lakke in the middle of the forest behind Emery’s house. This takes place in the world of Harry Potter, but these boys are original characters and have been roleplayed through all alternate universes imaginable. I was incredibly attached to these boys but after my friend and I fell out it’s been hard to think about them. That’s okay though, they’ll always hold a special place in my heart. To put in the simplest terms Alexei was a nervous Russian wreck with a taste for finer things and Emery was a hot-headed Greek trouble maker. I drew this about a year ago and got around to posting it now because in a bout of nostalgia I read through the logs of roleplay chats I kept. Anyways, enjoy these cuties!!

Y'all know what day it is! Happy 4.13!! Here's some shoddy Dirk Bro to celebrate.

The story behind this piece is, and I know it's terrible, but it was the first thing, like the first thing I ever drew on my tablet. It was Christmas Day three years ago, the last time I really saw my grandma before she lost her fight with cancer, and I drew this very thing to test out how the tablet worked after I had just gotten it. My grandma looked over my shoulder when I was done and was all like yOu DrEw ThAt?! She then proceeded to parade my drawing around to show the rest of the family [my whole family was there, aunts, uncles, cousins, the whole shebang], and tell them how good of an artist I was. I'm sitting on the couch dying internally because it's BRO she's showing everyone. Bro with SPARKLE GLASSES and HEARTS. It's not even that good XD But my grandma loved it and I will never forget how much she did.
