Absolutely headcannon that Ezekiel calls Eve mum on a regular basis. That this absolutely started as a really great way to needle her. But then sometime shortly after the whole Loom of Fate debacle (while Eve is still recovering before they all go their separate ways) he says it and she gets this look on her face. When he questions it she kind of works her way around telling him about the alternate version of him that she’d apparently raised. Then they all go their separate ways and when they’re suddenly all back together again he can’t quite bring himself to call her mum even in jest, it suddenly feels way too real. And it’s not until after they defeat Prospero and the statue that he just kind of breaks on her, curling into her and crying and calling her mum.

They don’t talk about it after. And he doesn’t actually ever call her mum again. But she’s definitely listed that way on his emergency contacts.

The way that this kiss is almost a reverse of their first kiss
