Oh i love the idea that Jonathan is always ready to strike, that fear and his research is all that he thinks about. Every day. Everywhere. No matter what.

But the softness of never hurting children, cuz he knows what is like to fear at that age, hits me sooo good! We love a secret softie king!

I bet Jonathan loves to people watch, like sitting in a cafe or on a park bench and just enjoying some coffee as people walk on by. He sees the little kid playing pretend, or asking their mom for a smoothie. He sees the tired mom trying her best to make her children happy. He sees the Karens, and the unfashionable dads in khakis and sandles with socks.

and he hates them all. Their noise, their loud voices, it’s almost overestimation.

Yet, he is fascinated by them. They’re all–aside from the children, potential test subjects. It’s just a matter of time, he says under his breath.

Soon, he will strike.

Could i get some hcs fir the Riddler with a very ADHD SO?

Basically, ive been struggling with severe ADHD for a while now. That includes the usual symptoms, like severe short term memory loss, executive functioning issues, loss of ability to concentrate on things (even things i love!) Honestly i was wondering how the Edward would deal with someone close to him like that. On one hand, hyper-focusing on projects to the point that he neglects other important things is nothing new to him, but on the other, somehow i doubt he would be familiar with the lack of mental organization and inability to focus on even the most basic tasks. I’m my mind, his “mental abilities” are one of the things he considers most important about himself, and I think it would be really bizarre, off putting and scary for him to see his loved one be unable to use their own “mental abilities” He is probably the one that forgets things in most relationships (mostly bc of hyper-focusing on his projects) but i also see him as being really detail oriented

Well, to start it really depends if you are taking medication or not;

If you are It won't bother him very much, he understand what you are going into (you know, with the whole hyper-focus thing), but he knows that you are trying to get better!

If you're not taking medication It's another thing, he will encourage you to take then, of course, but he will complain, A lot like 'How can you not remember THIS?!’ or 'How can you only focus on THAT!?';

Just try to explain to him that madication is not for everyone;

He will still be very sturbborn tho;

Let's start with the fact that Edward loves attention, and you being a little flirty with him just rubs him the right way. The flirting is mutual tho, he would never let that slide;

But when that cop just open his mouth to say that he is out of his mind, how dare he insinuate that he THE RIDDLER-

He is not Doctor Crane there, he can't be Doctor Crane there, even thought he tries!

Harley makes It bearable by calling him Professor Crane!

Random Thought: Jonathan is extremely defensive over his degree and education as a whole, including past students who striked his fancy. He worked very hard, long days and sleepless nights, for his doctorate and he becomes very bitter when anyone mentions it’s been revoked, but especially Batman. He can’t stand his mocking tone, even if it’s coming from a good place. Even if he’s trying to help Crane. No, Jonathan doesn’t see it that way. He sees his “help” as a way to nullify his efforts in the world of psychology. He’s still Professor Crane, no–Doctor Crane. No one shall challenge his expertise, lest they be left in the dirt.

Okay, I'm sending this headcanon cuz you are of my people! (Brazil)

Riddler and Brazilians.

Riddler at first had a lot of respect for Brazil and it's people. Firstly because of the "jeitinho brasileiro", a way of thinking that involves achieving a goal by unorthodox means, Taking a Third Way, thinking outside the box.

Riddler loves and respects cleverness.

The carnaval also appeal to him and rogues, as it started as a time were people could ditch society rules and make merry. And doned masks, so freeing themselves of judgement.

He also agrees that Santos Dummond is the inventor of the airplane.

Now he does not disclose if it's because he thinks the Write Brothers attemp doesn't count because they needed a sort of  "catapult to get velocity". Or if he believes they did first but because they came up with the photo after Santos flied in front of a crowd in Paris it's not proof.

You see evidence is important to him, he makes his fights with Batman very public so his future victory can't be contested. (you know how he was beaten for cheating and lying).

And He loves green which is our color.

So Riddlers loved brazilians ingenuity and cleverness.

Until he realised it made us favor the bat.

You see intelligence is a social construct. There was a study that showed that different societies considered different things signs of intelligence...

And the jeitinho brasileiro is on batman side.

Batman doesn't follow the rules of the traps Riddlermakes, He makes a Third Way. He makes a Jeitinho! Edward views it as cheating. Oh! it is smart! but batman only does it cuz he couldn't solve the puzzle as it was supposed. Eddie claims.

But to us it's what intelligence is, it's also part of The Zueira (Mockery), for it PISSES RIDDLER OFF!

You are given arbitrary rules and ou subvert them.

So Know Riddler doesn't engage much with us. He does hold a little grudge, but he claims to not hold because he's "fair" and condescendently says Oh, your opinion doesn't count, it's not your fault, it's just skewed because of your societal upbringing.
