I usually dont do these kinds of things but i have no idea what to do and im just struggling so much. some of you know that i have a little girl, a dog that i take care of and she is my pride and joy.

she has cyst now growing on her and to remove them its 250 each while she has two adding up to 500. i can get the 250 for her half going but i need help with the other half since i have bills to also pay, food to buy, everything. the adult life. i went ahead and placed down two areas to donate in case anyone wants to. i just want her to not be in pain anymore and to be alright again.

We have updated our Community Guidelines to reflect these changes; the rest of our content policies remain the same: We still don’t allow hate, spam, violent threats, or anything illegal, and visual depictions of sexually explicit acts remain off-limits on Tumblr (if you want to know more about that, our CEO Matt recently explained why it’s not feasible for us to safely and successfully support porn communities at this time). If you come across these types of content, please continue to report them to us.

Similarly, if you come across content on Tumblr that doesn’t appear to be appropriately labeled, please let us know. This is how we’ll work together to create safer spaces for everyone on Tumblr, whatever their interests and needs. 

We hope this shift creates more room for artistic expression to flourish on Tumblr while empowering each of you to craft your own experience and safely explore and discover the things you love.

Let’s talk on something controversial.

HEADS UP! THIS WILL GO ON SENSITIVE TOPICS!! VIEW DISCRETION IS ADVISED.

Which is right? Fiction affects reality or fiction doesn’t affect reality?

Truth is, neither are right. Fiction CAN affect reality.

Now, why is it "can" and neither of the other two? Simply put, it all falls on the ones taking in the media as well as how the supplier of the media handles topics.

Sensitive topics/subjects should always be handled with care and not portrayed in a way that glorifies or even sexualizes things that are deemed immoral or even illegal, such as abuse, r*pe, and so on.

For instance, the movie Jaws, is a work of fiction that had affected reality by making people fearful of sharks as well as putting a false perspective of them. The movie also was one of the causes for a decline in shark population due to people killing them, leading to a great number of species of sharks to be endangered or threatened.

Now, with art and writing or even role-playing, there will be people that ill intake the media in unhealthy ways. Some may outright search out such dark themes as material to m*sterbate to, and even some content creators could be making such material as that is something they glorify or fetishize.

However, there are those that make content on dark themes can also be writing them in such a way that is for the better, such as to shed light on things. One example of this would be My Little Goat, which sheds light on child abuse and the forms it can take.

Making media of sensitive topics should not be discouraged but should be handled to the best of one's ability.

Graphic details should not be written in depth at all, more so if the act is being taken place instead of being talked on in past tense. Put more attention on signs people should look out for in the real world, take the moment to have what you create spread awareness on things instead of using it for shock factor or an angst fodder.

However these is one thing I would like to say on this and it's something I find inexcusable and should never be used as an excuse to write things such as r*pe, inc*st, and p*dophillia. It is a "coping mechanism". It's not. That is not a coping mechanism at all, that is you following the footsteps of the one who harmed you and in time you will repeat what they've done to you. You can deny it all you like but this is the truth and the way to not turn into the monster that had done such things to you is to find outlets that are healthier and don't have you revisit the trauma. I say this as a survivor of abuse. Do not, follow in the footsteps of those that hurt you, find the path that can and will make life better for you. But adding onto this, there are some that will write taboo topics like this and have never experienced it or even condone it but are more or less desensitized to such things but that is still no excuse to write it as again it gives people material that are those things.

I would like to add now since I believe I finished with what has been on my mind for months now, if there's things I should touch up on this or add to this, please feel free to message me to let me know on it. However, false accusations or hate will not be looked at all. I am simply someone that knows that media will have dark themes to them but at the very least they can and should be handled in the right light.

hey guys, just a quick PSA message to let you all know… tumblr has released a new feature called “community labels” where you can label your posts as mature so that people can voluntarily filter or blur posts that contain certain subjects… however while your first encounter with it will likely be while posting, it’s also Already affecting your settings. if you go into your dashboard settings you’ll see a new section that looks like this…

THESE ARE ALL SET TO “HIDE” BY DEFAULT.

if someone or something has you upset and you feel like sending harsh/rude/hateful anons to someone over things they like that is perfectly innocent, then it's time to step away from the computer, put down the phone and or tablet, unclench your jaw, and take time to walk around your room or even go outside for some fresh air.

sending harmful messages can do way more damage than you know with some people. and it's not something that "they need thicker skin" for, it is look in the mirror and ask yourself "would i want messages like that sent to me?" if you answer no to that then stop sending such harmful things! if yes to that... well, there's a group for that where it's not truly harmful.
