This is from the sketch meetup at Vnitroblock with Urban Sketchers Prague last week! Originally the sketch was unfinished (you’ll see in the fourth photo), so I just added more of them colors at home. I had fun doing that. ^^

Lord, Heal our land

Good day to each and everyone. I would like to ask your sincerest help and PRAYERS for my land Mindanao, especially in Region 11, Davao Region where me and my relatives live.

Last Jan 16, 2024 we experience an imaginable flooding and we were evacuated to a safety area because of the shear line that causes the heavy and nonstop rainfall, all of the houses in the area was partially damage and uninhabitable but as the rain slows down we went back to our houses to clean and check if its okay to be back home. Then Just today Jan. 18, 2024, we are force to evacuate again as the shear line that causes the worst flooding in the history of our province takes place. Some of us are now staying in the evacuation area. Crowded, unease and all of us still absorbing what just happened, thinking how we will gonna recover from the disaster that we just experience, not to mention a month ago, Tropical Storm #Kabayan (Jelawat) hit the Philippines and our region was the center of the storm. I thought it would be the last time that I will experience such flooding but its only the beginning, this shear line was the worst! As the saying goes, calm before the storm, I now understand that :(

Some brigdes had collapes due to strong current of the flood (some photos are not mine but from my friends who had the courage to go to this danger and impassable zone)

Thankful for the rescuers who priorities the kids, elderly and pwd ( God is good all the time)

This video was just the beggining of the flood after a couple of hours, the water raises to 5ft and it makes our sitio, impassable. Only heavy and big vehicle can pass.

This happened Mindanao wide, some photos I upload are not meant to disturb other people who had phobia in this kind of situation but to imphasize how big the damage this shear line had cause us. In other province, there were landslide that killed a family of 7 (May there soul rest in peace) and in some areas there are reported missing.

Help me pray for my mother land. I hope this calamity end and no casualty anymore. I hope the Almighty give the rescuers and people who sacrifice there life to save others the stregnth and courage they need.

Im dearly asking help monetary or in kinds not just for me and my family but also for my relatives and friends who are now in the evacuation area.

The government is providing food as much they can but they cant cater everything that we need because thousands of family were in different evacuation centers in the region plus some government help will take sometime because some road are not passable due to landslide.

We are in need of:

Milk powder for babies

Food for babies (Soft biscuits, cerelac)

Distilled water (running out of it)

Disinffectant / ointment

Blanket and pillow (This is much need)

Hygiene Kit

Extra food for those who didnt leave their houses (most men in each family, stayed to look/guard their houses)

UPDATE#1:

As of now, we still experience moderate to heavy rainfall. Some of us went back home to clean and see the damages in our houses but the rain pours hard that we decided to go back to evacuation immediately.

The main road from the city and other provinces still not passable due to the landslide and broken road. Trucks and other vehicle that carries the relief good intended for us still stranded because of the road closure.

UPDATE#2:

Today we experience scartthered thurderstorm, strong wind and a possible flood and landslide warning was issued. Still didn't receive any kinds of donation. Hoping someone can give a headstart to boost this post.

Now I'm thinking about how Adèle H. did her photoshoots, considering she has done magazine covers and such 🤔

How many hours do you think the whole process took?

I think I worked 16 hours straight for three months straight, including weekends. It's the most work I've done in my whole life in that amount of time.

Did you also do the drawing of [] that’s inside the []?

I did pretty much all the paintings except the one that's without a face. Céline and the actresses would work out how the scene was going to go. Once that was set up, I’d come, take a photo and while they were shooting the scenes, I went to a little corner of the castle and did my sketches.

Did Adèle model for you?

She only posed for photos, she hated it actually. She’s an actress, she’s not static, she has to be moving all the time. So even sitting down for the photos was quite tricky for her, which was amusing actually.

What happened to the portraits once the film wrapped?

A couple of them are hanging in Céline’s house. Some of them are going to the Centre National du cinéma [et de l'image animée] Archive. I'm gonna get like two or three of them, hopefully Adèle will get one.

As with most of my paintings, this one took a long time. XD But here she is!

Actually, I've had this mental image of Sophie for a while.

There's something about the way that Sophie looked there that I liked. But I wanted the background to be different.

In the scene, she seems to be anxious - who wouldn't, right?

She paces around, looking at her companions...

...Anyway, I created a Userscript for the Chrome/Firefox Stylus Extension that reverts the new dashboard to the old format. This took a lot of tweaking and it's not perfect at all, but if anyone wants it I'll be uploading it soonish now!

You need to have Stylus installed. So if you don't have it:

Install the Stylus Firefox Addon or the Chrome Extension (You can install Chrome Extensions on Edge as well)

Once it's installed into Firefox/Chrome/Edge you can proceed with adding this style or any other.

To add the style, follow the instructions:

Click on "install".

Style will open a tag with it and in the left side you'll have a button that says "install style", click there. (Step-by-step copied from the lovely dorothyoz39 who wrote this in a reply!) If you don't want the sticky header you can remove the labelled script at the top of the css below /* Sticky Header*/

----- Known issues:

The search bar moves out of place on bigger monitors when not using the sticky header. You can adjust its position yourself under "/*Moves the search bar*/" by changing the "Left" numbers. I can't think of a way around that just yet without adjusting it yourself!

Search bar doesn't appear on some pages (like viewing a post), this is because Tumblr removed the search bar on those pages completely. Unfixable!

Post button disappears on very small monitors! (1 person with this issue so far) Might be hard for me to replicate and fix without messing with regular-size monitors - My recommendation if you are having issues with smaller monitors, is to adjust the labelled numbers (Left, Right, Top: [Value]) for the issue you're having in the code!

Only two columns in Masonry view. May be unfixable, I can't figure out how to add another column in smaller screens. Tumblr creates columns based on monitor size, if I try adding another column (because it doesn't exist) it just perpetually loads on screen.

Tumblr has ONCE AGAIN CHANGED THE ACCOUNTS MENU. The menus are now shorter and have less information on them. This is unfortunately permanent. I do not see any way to fix this. Unfixable.

Solved issues: (Update)

Menus need to be manually closed SOLVED! in V.4 and updated in V.5! The menu & icon WILL scroll with you if you have removed the sticky header CSS, however, clicking anywhere on screen will make the Menu disappear still. DISCLAIMER: If you remove any of the header icons with Ublock the Account or Settings icon will disappear off screen or overlap with other icons. This is just cosmetic and the menus will still close - see option 4 for a solution to this problem!

Masonry view in searches is now fixed!

Removed Xkits new text for xkit users (update)

Added a new guide to make moving the Settings and Accounts buttons easier if you remove icons with Ublock. Example: /*If there are none icons on the right (of the settings icon), right: 120px;*/ Now you don't have to fiddle around moving the icons yourself, you can just choose the number value that works for you! Ctrl-F Search for Accounts Icon or Settings Icon in the code to find this!

Resized Messenger Chat Box!

NEW UPDATE 16/08/23, 23:55 BST v6.5: Figured out how to reorganise the icons in the header. Let me know if you have any problems with it and make sure to update your Userstyle! Some icons are hidden with Display: Block; you can hide more icons with this method!

Brought back SOME of the icons for Tumblrs latest update - Unfortunately, this does not bring back user icons for Reblogged posts! Make sure to yell at Tumblr for removing the icons as well as the horrible dashboard update here! v7.5 Fixed icons for all posts and put them back where they came from!

v6.9.6.9 (I promise this is the last funny number): Fuck Off Buggy The Clown Update + All languages support for the old header design!

v7.0: Fixed the search bar for tumblrs new collections feature, so it looks like the original search bar!

Resuming this painting of Sophie. It’s been quite rough lately that it’s hard to create sometimes, so I’ve been trying to take care of myself by taking walks and eating healthy. The sleeping part is a bit of a struggle. But I trust that somehow, things are gonna be ok.

What shapes will come out?’ - this is why playing with negative space (the white area of the paper), especially with watercolor can be quite fun. ☺️
