So back when Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix came out my brother went to the launch event and brought me back this lil scroll recap of KH 1, KH CoM, and KH 358/2 Days. It’s been sitting in my closet for ages since, ya know, no stores sell 5″x 40″ frames. But now I put it in the computer so I’ll share it with all of you.

can you share with me your Lea and Kairi feels; I just have so many emotions too I need to get them out through someone lol OTL. They have so much potential as a sibling/friendship duo and ugh I'm just really excited and emotional thinking about what they'll do with them in the game

YES OKAY HERE WE GO

First of all, Axel i think is natural friends with Kairi not just because he probably is subconsciously reminded of Xion, but because xion and roxas probably got axel used to being friends with people younger than him. So Axel isn’t the type of guy to say “Hey Kid, don’t slow me down.” He’s always been patience and educational when it came to Roxas and Xion. So while he is also new to the keyblade like Kairi, it’s nice to know that he’s not the type to bash her, but rather encourage her and genuinely have fun training with her as an equal (even if he already has fighting experience with his chakrams). He just seemed so chill with her in the trailer, so gentle and it just makes so happyyyyy. What a frickin sweet wholesome moment. [[Also notice that he didn’t correct her when she called him Axel, that’s either him giving up or him being gentle too]]

Also, Kairi is a princess of heart, not a touch of darkness in her body, so of course bless her soul she’s able to forgive and befriend someone who kidnapped her before lol. Not only that, but I can’t help but wonder if she asks Axel about Radiant Garden. While KH never had a spelled out moment of Kairi remembering her past (I still literally don’t know if she does or not) but if she does, I would think if she found out that Axel lived there, she would ask him about it a lot, and if they ever got to a point where they traveled together (which is what I’m hoping for, the trailer seemed to hint at it) they would go back to see it themselves.

And Kairi is probably thankful to finally have a keyblade wielding friend who doesn’t leave her on an island alone lmao. I think she understood that not having any experience fighting she may be in the way, but like I said, Axel seems like the type to purposely hold on to a hand to keep up their pace rather than just leave them behind.

I really do hope that Axel and Kairi remain friends, even after Xion and Roxas return (because I’m sure they both will, even Xion).
