I believe in Lucie Herondale supremacy and I don't care about y'all
You know I never even noticed that Lucie had really grey morals in COI until I started seeing post about it and re-read her bits. I was just happy to see a character to whom I can relate to so much. Which makes me think that the reason I didn’t notice her grey morals was because I never realized I might have fairly grey morals as well.

Review of Lord Of Shadows (The Dark Artifices #2) by Cassandra Clare
Oh my God, oh my God. This book was a lot, in every single way. First of all, I think I should start exalting my favorite part, and that would definitely be the political landscape. I can't believe Cassie Clare really said "I have a platform and I'm gonna use it to talk about the social and political issues we're facing and have to address as a society". Oh my God! I loved they weren't embellished or added more fantasy (than necessary) when talked about, they were shown as crude and true as they are in the world right now. I'm that annoying person who will always be speaking about the importance of equality for every single one out there and how we must make sure we all have the same rights and protection under the law without any kind of discrimination, a world where our differences are celebrated and respected. This particular quote really hit me "When a decision like that is made by a government, it emboldens those who are already prejudiced to speak their deepest thoughts of hate. They assume they are simply brave enough to say what everyone really thinks". Chills, literal chills, say it louder for the people in the back!
Talking about other aspects of the book, it was undoubtedly more dynamic than its predecessor, having more storylines and subplots, but although I enjoyed most of them, I found some to be a bit rushed, but overall still solid and good. The action was perfect, even in the freaking last two pages was present. I don't know if I'll ever be able to process that ending.
Other thing I've loved about this saga, is the portrayal of its characters; usually in fantasy novels we only get the heroes who are good and the villains who are evil and bad; however, in TDA, everyone is flawed, even the heroes, they aren't plain, they're complex with lots of motivations. I'm not sure who is my favorite one yet cause almost everyone is pretty much insteresting and lovable: my warrior Emma has to be one of my favorite female fighters out there, Julian has surprised me and has like my eternal loyalty, he's so freaking clever and omg I just imagine him like being the best chess player ever or one of those who were clever and cunning enogh to survived in Game of Thrones: I also love the twins and Kit, he's so funny and adorable and a total Herondale! Something that surprised me was all the setting and the changes of location we got to see! I can't believe we saw so many places! My favorite was obviously London, cause TID owns my heart. In conclusion, Lord Of Shadows is almost perfect.

Review of Lady Midnight (The Dark Artifices #1) by Cassandra Clare
Lady Midnight has to unexpectedly be one of the most wholesome stories I've come to read in a while. Still, the mystery and drama and angst were without the shadow of a doubt *insert chef's kiss*. The characters were such an incredible surprise! I found them to be so real and interesting. I loved to notice how far Cassandra Clare's writing style has come, letting us understand each character and their deepnesses better. I think it's necessary that I state how much I loved Emma Carstairs, she was beautiful! I loved how she was like the best fighter and the warrior and like a fantastic badass girl who still had a heart of gold for all those she loved. I loved her! Then, there was Julian, who earned my heart and respect. My poor baby, he deserved so much better, but at the same time I was so happy to see that he wasn't anyone's fool, and how clever and cunning he was when it was needed. The Blackthorns deserve happiness as a whole, I just wanna protect them; all the time I read I could feel the love they had for each other. For me, it's pretty obvious that the main theme of TDA is the importance of family. The representation and diversity made me so happy. I smiled when I read the nods and references to the other sagas, like when Emma said that parabatais should be ready to throw their hands into the fire for each other, aka my pure Will! And Jem & Tessa! Everytime I read their names I just smiled. The plot was simple but still allowed space to whimsical stories, fun moments packed with action, cool locations and a surprisingly strong villain, which I did not see coming. Political speaking, it was what our generation needed. The Clave isn't fair, its politics aren't fair, it is corrupt and most of the time to do the right thing you have to go against it and I loved how the characters in this book didn't even blink and were aware of this all the damn time! Like "Lex malla, lex nulla". Lady Midnight somehow managed to be funny, cute, wholesome, full of mystery and everything I didn't know I wanted, all at once.
