tyrion lannister, worst-best prisoner in westeros. spends the whole journey up the high road to the eyrie befriending his captors. commits a whole separate crime and gains a wicked shadowcat cloak (luckily singers are not people and thus not protected by the law). demands trial by combat upon the assumption that a) his new pal thinks he's too funny to die and b) his new pal would do anything for a cheque. steals a vale government employee by offering him better workplace benefits. thinks multiple times "i should probably stop insulting the people who hold my life in their hands" and then defends his life with a stand up routine so good, a whole court of people who hate him are laughing out loud. sends the mountain clans to besiege his former prison. the whole time he knows more about who actually committed the crime than anyone. overall, a net LOSS for house stark and the eyrie and a net GAIN for tyrion lannister.

Just remembered that Tyrion’s introduction to the story is him back-handspringing off of a fucking wall only to have nothing but bad knees and mobility issues for five whole books until it’s revealed that his secret parkour skills are one of the ten bajillion reasons his father wants him to eat poison and die. GOD

Alicent Hightower, Little Miss Greensleeves

At the wedding of Rhaenyra and Laenor Valeryon Alicent makes a dramatic entrance in a brilliant green gown. A declaration for House Hightower instead of the reds and blacks she used to wear for her husband's House. I know some people love this show-dress but I can't get behind it. It looks too flimsy to be a Queen's show-stopping ensemble. It needed length, or folds of fabric... even just better lining in the bodice would have helped. It's honestly looked better in the cosplays I've seen.

I will give it to the show designers though, it is a hard gown to design. I completed this illustration at least 3 times before I knew for certain what it was going to look like. Hopefully the elements of Hightower fashion/anti-Targaryen fashion i've been mentioning and building to are recognizable.

Listening to Knowledge Fight's long episode summaries of the Alex Jones trial and it is such delicious dramatic irony hearing Jones on his show being smug and celebrating how he totally pilled the jury and they all love him because of the 4mil compensatory damages verdict and how "Jones will be back later for a special statement after they give us nothing in punitive damages" while the 45million verdict is looming in the future.

I could listen to the almost sheepish "uh Mr. Jones won't make it to this evenings slot for a statement on the punitive damages verdict" over and over again
