I finished up the Loporrit tribal questline about a major patch late, and I am reminded once again how FFXIV can reduce me to tears with a single dialogue box.

This game has no right to be as good as it is, and we are all thankful.

Playing the demo for Theatrhythm Final Bar Line means being increasingly tilted when I cannot do a Perfect Chain for FFXIV songs, but can accidentally do so for other Final Fantasy games (in this case, FFVII).

I feel like I've failed Soken in some small, indescribable way.

Rather late but

Every time I think about patch 6.1's MSQ, I love how it subverted all my expectations in a hilarious way.

The trailer made it seem like Estinien, known to be poor at managing finances, got scammed into buying a fake treasure map.

Except Estinien knew it was a scam, and bought the map anyway because he figured the people involved needed the money.

Except the scammers recognized Estinien (and the Warrior of Light) as the saviours of Radz-at-Han and the world, and quietly begged their gods for forgiveness later.

Except the treasure map is real, and the scammers had to hype it up because the treasure location was very dangerous.

Except the treasure location was actually just Vrtra's basement and he had to go check on it after we busted the security systems.

That the "real" treasure was not the mountains of gold and jewelry, but rather the voidgate leading to the Thirteenth thus our new adventure arc, was the final detail to make it all work.

It's been so long since I last posted on Tumblr, due to not being able to fully customize my dashboard to my liking with regards to "promoted posts". I just want to have stuff I'm interested in on my timeline, not stuff I've never heard of and have no interest in.

Then I learned that Tumblr now offers a subscription model to remove all ads, so I'm trying it in the hopes that this will mitigate the "hey look at these posts that have nothing to do with your interests" interruptions.

I've since forgotten how to do tagging and what the current spoiler policy for FFXIV is, for posting purposes.
