Except… Simon’s foot kept finding Wille’s under the table. Their hands brushed more than they probably should have. Simon occasionally shot Wille a look that caused blood to rush to Wille’s cheeks. Everything that should have been normal felt ultra-charged with a new energy and Wille couldn’t help but lean into it. Knocking his feet back against Simon’s. Leaving his hand on the table where it was always in Simon’s path. Looking back at Simon with that same secret expression. 

Did Ayub notice? Probably. But if he already knew, so be it.

When I was choosing fabric for Denée, I found this amazing fabric that had these bright silver polka dots on it. I would never have thought of silver in the context of this show before, because there’s so much gold. I was inspired by her. I also decided there needs to be more movement to the dress, so there are dangly, globe-shaped beads on the dress. She gets this fancy dress and puts it on and gets swept away—but it wants to feel light, like she drank too much champagne. - Paloma Young, costume designer
