Hm so was it just me or did Marinette and Adrien's voices change when they transformed? Like adrien sounded like a completely different person before and after-- am I going insane??

Also, as much as I appreciate more miraculouses, don't they create plot holes?? Fu said that all of the guardians were destroyed because of the one sentimonster, but if there are miraculouses in other parts of the world like it was implied, were they destroyed too?? How did the sentimonster get to them?

AND Everyone knows the identities of a lot of the American superheroes, so why is it not allowed for Ladybug and Chat Noir to reveal their identities? It doesn't make sense :/ it's not like there's laws against it or anything.

I could honestly keep going with all the plot holes this special dug itself, but I will try to focus on the positive.

I really loved the animation and quality. It was *mwah* and all the adrienette melted my heart dhdksksk I loved it when they literally got stuck in the doorway and it kept closing on them--

@rubirose15 Well I’m glad you asked!

Pokémon themselves don’t exsist in the AU, but the Pokémon franchise does. Ash and Goh are both fans (when they first meet their Kwamis, both of their first reactions are literally “Are you a Pokémon?!”).

The Kwamis are still the normal Kwamis, because honestly Plagg and Ash/Tikki and Goh interacting is something I didn’t know I needed.

As for how they fell for each other...

Goh was the first person who really made Ash feel welcome in his new school. Most other people were either intimidated because of who his father is, or starstruck because of who he himself is.

But Goh...Goh didn’t really care about all that. Sure, he’s a fan, but he managed to look beyond all that. Ash has never had any interaction like that before, where someone wasn’t constantly trying to impress him or say the right thing. And he finds that...freeing. And he loves that feeling.

And yes, there was an umbrella scene, but with the roles reversed. And minus any animosity. It was heartwarming.

As for on the hero side of things, well...because of who his father is, Ash finds himself having to put up a mask. Never really able to just let loose and be himself. But when he’s Nekuro, despite wearing a physical mask, the metaphorical one is able to fall away. And he’s able to let his true colors shine through.

And Goh finds himself falling for this lovable dorky side, no matter how annoying it can get at times. But what really caught him was the sincerity. How willing his partner is to throw himself into danger. It was the moment that he did this for the first time that he knew he felt something for the hero.

Now if only he could stop being a hopelessly gay mess and actually manage to get things done without blushing like crazy—

Dragonite, Gengar, and Farfetch'd: *have hardly done anything in the series and hell Gengar has only been on screen a few times meanwhile there's always at least one or two of Gou's Pokemon just chillin' in the background* Are we a joke to you?

Does anyone talk about the fact that when Gou is being affectionate to a Pokemon, he puts his hand on their cheek. It even looks like he tries to do that with Zamazenta in the teaser for the Darkest Day arc dbdnsmsma

sO big brain time-- if there ever i s a SatoGou confession, censored as it may be, Gou totally would cup Ash's cheek in his hand. He could've done this in the Flygon ep but perhaps the writers are saving it for something 👀

Either way it's such a cute thing for Gou. I love that this is how he shows how much he cares--
