Visual Novel dropping ✨ VERY SOON ✨ lads. ;3

Proof read yesterday evening, the VN is breadyy! It's a matter of days now. Yes i have scheduled a release on March 14th, aka White Day. 'Cause why not. uwu

Fun fact ; i was initially planning to release it a month ago -- on February 14th, Valentines Day --, but that would have been rushing it, considering i didn't have any BGM at that moment. I'm glad i decided to postpone it (well, again, technically, but still). ^_^

Oh hey, this collab is actually from 2021, unlike the others ones.

I arranged it with my twitter pal Snow ... but then i was stuck down into an assignements' pit by my uni, so i had to postpone it for a while. <_<') Well, there is a happy ending to this, because it's now finished as you can see! ^_^)b

We decided to make an illustration of Keitaro x Lee. Crack ship ahoy! Let's enbark on a mint scented adventure with the snake & the frog~ ᕕ( ✧▽✧)ᕗ

Snow made a transparent lineart right of the bat, which is pretty neat. I just realised there's an eyebrow missing- BUT- You saw nothing! Listen here, you are distracted by the wholesomeness, about how Keitaro gives testimony of his strength by lifting Lee up. How nice is that, hm?

I decided to make things a bit different this time, and i ported this drawing to Gimp instead of Medibang. That way, i not only had room for coloring, but also for experimenting with textures! Hence the fabric'd clothing and the mosaic'd hair.

So i really do hope you like it! uwu)9

Hey, hi, 你好!

This collab was done with my my twitter moot Bai !

Bai drew, i colored. And, yup, this time we have charaters (and a ship) far more underrated, Eduard x Lee. (｡+･｀ω･´)

It's interesting because i didn't know it was possible to make a tradi sketch transparent right of the bat. Which is what Bai submitted. Such a sweet and soft linework indeed. A bit drafty, yes, but that's its' charm. Also, accompanied by a quite endearing 2-liner (and boi am i into cheesy things like that).

The coloring/shading i went for are more intense than i thought they'd come out as. Well, maybe "intense" is a bit of a strong word, but there's a some sort of strong sense of intimacy, with a bit of magical-ness. I like to think it's the "secret lovers of the night" kind of mood.

So i've been blessed once again--

*sobs in otp profusely like i haven't already, before*

For this collab, i settled for some Keitaro and Natsumi with my twitter pal Karen. Because there's never too much of your otp, hehe~ UwU

For a change of pace, i'm the one who drew for this one. I wanted it to be as cuddly as possible, preferably in fullbody for the full experience.

And then- Karen brought it all to life with a super rad, and in fact rather close to the style of the og vn, coloring-- Just look at all these details! °A°)9 And the background color couldn't have been more fitting too.

Hello,

This collab, done with MissPetals from Twitter. It was basically relaxing matter after a presentation (thank goodness that period is overr, aah).

We settle for a Keitaro and Hiro drawing. The "friends-to-lovers" is one of my favorite dynamics, so this ship here is also a big yesss!

MissPetals made a very sweet cartoon-ish sketch of these two dorks. I colored them. UwU

While i did, i put various Mario games' soundtracks to listen to. Ngl, i kinda lost control of what i was doing, which is why the result is little bit funky, with all the star-shaped highlights and the black&white background.

Hellooo, I've done this collab with Robin, a twitter moot.

It's also the most single-character focused collab among all that i've done. Tbf, it's about right! Eduard deserves more love. ^_^)9

For this one, i've drawn, in about as much of a sketchy way as you'd imagine, lol. Really enjoyed drawing his hair! I also wanted to make a pose that simultaneously translates a some sorta chillness and classiness. I mean, i say that, but i kinda bulkied him up, haha. X)

Robin took care of the coloring. It's a very delicate coloring, with nice subtle shadows & soft highlights. I more so underlines Eduard's flamboyance. And that's quite in-character for him. I think the lack of background helps in appreciating this character in his all fabulousness & glory, too!

For this collab, I & my twitter moot Miri went for a Keitaro and Natsumi illustration!

The og drawing made my heart squeeze, because it has such a wholesome intention AND the execution translated! Also Keitaro's expression-! That was the cherry on top! *O*)

And yeah, i colored this piece~ It was about then that i was starting to get used to medibang, it was surprisingly more convenient than i thought (hence why i'm still using it to this day). I did the lineart to bring out this cuteness. I was even kinda worried about getting that face accurately to the original. I went for a simple, anime-ish and warm shading, because sometimes less complex things work the best.

Heyyyyyyy, Tumblr!

So you like my Camp Buddy content, hmm? Well, good news! Turns out i made some collab pieces with folks over on Twitter, back in 2020, and i thought it'd be fun to share them with you here! <u<)

So! For this first one, my moot Gene went ahead and made a nice & clean & even transparent version of the drawing. No kidding, i was shocked, because it was ready & hot in about 2 hours.

Then ... there is me. I'm not a fast madlad, in fact, "how do i digital fast"? I made quite the conscious choice to keep the lineart as it is. I like its' dynamism alot, so i felt going over would just take away the flow. For the general coloring, i experimented a bichromatic shading. I thought it'd look weird at first, but in the end i think it does its' effect! It enhances these two's, Yuuto's and Avan's, full (muscly) glory. :3

Ever since i saw @awesomeperfection1 's let's play of Hunter's route, i wanted to make this skit. So yeah ... i sure has been a while. But, at last, i finally made it. ┳━┳ノ( •̀ ω •́ノ)

Un-shockingly, these characters are still naked. Though, this time, they’re also bilingual (ft. English & Japanese). (•ﾟдﾟ•) ♥

Also, fun fact : i was initially considering to use a glitch texture i got by chance from a twitter friend, but i decided to drop it for a less grainy & more fluid texture, which is holo. Holo conbined with a mattress texture, because i was feeling sleepy also.

I wasn’t entirely sure as to how much effect i’ll cram in here, but while working on the pieces A, B & C, i realised i didn’t exactly do any shadowing + lighting (it’s mostly just shading). So i did it here, and i “framed” it for a little design variety. :3

Helloooo (sorry for the delay, haha-)

Right off the bat (and it’s been a while since i got to watch Sukisho), I’d say my favorite characters are Sora and Gaku. :)

Also, i think that’s unlikely, given how obscure the visual novels are.

For example, i had no idea there were vns until at least 2019! And i’ve been clinging to the anime since 2015, completely satisfied with what it offered. So i myself i’m still pretty stunned! Now, every time i open Sukisho First Limit to play it, it feels like i’m checking on a some sort of “BL VN history” artefact ...

Yo, hi, so; I dug up this flower photograph i downloaded (once upon a time) for digital art class, but i never got to use it. Now given i'm making this series, i found a purpose for it! I thought it'd be interesting to coordinate it with my imported drawing like a some sort of collage. ┳━┳ノ( OωOノ)

The trickiness lies in the fact that i had to find the line of flowers in which i could "clip" the drawing conveniently. On the top half, it was fairly easy; for the bottom half though, i had to resort to franken-dolling the image to create the line i need. The drawing itself isn't very detailed in terms of coloring and shadowing though, because with the collage, the whole thing seemed already pretty loaded to me.

Also, there’s some poetry too. Dunno, i like corny liners like that. (*´ω｀*)

I’d like to hold your attention just a bit more. The thing is : this piece has a spinoff version!

It stemed from the fact that i couldn’t see very well while i was tracing on the lineart paper, so i had to make an in-between step. I resorted to tracing paper, to make a more visible version of the og sketch :

But how are two tracing paper components making any sense here? Well, thanks to a specific course i had at uni, i’m now quite likely to turn drawings of mine that i find interesting into screenprinting stencils, hence the use of tracing paper.

Yes, that’s right. Screenprinting. The spinoff (but also more minimalistic) version of this piece comes as a screenprint. Of which, here’s a demo version with very dark blue lines and lighter more vivid-ish royal blue shadowing :

Btw, because i have an account on Amazon, i was wondering about selling exclusive samples of this piece. Would anyone be interested? :3

(I will consider another platform for selling these if Amazon sounds too inconvenient tho, i’m all ears for your suggestions)

Today, i’d like to present you sth a little more lighthearted, but also a bit more grainy. ｡+ﾟ.。+。(´ω｀*)♪♪

The drawing wasn't actually occupying the entire canvas, so i had to find a way to fill the empty space. I thought it'd be interesting to use bubbles and bubble textures to generate the atmosphere. It was a bit tricky however, because i had to organise these bubbles manually, from making to various resizing. A bit of work, but it was worth it. ^_^)9
