Currently reading Iron Flame (not far in only page 60) and the more I read the more I become convinced that the fourth wing series is not going to have a happy ending, it will be the sort of ending that makes readers cry and makes us curse the entire series. I’m not looking forward to it at all, 100% convinced that both violet and xaden are going to die in the end. This is a worse case scenario but I can’t stop overthinking it, please tell me if you agree or convince me that they won’t die (I need it).

I have a total of exactly one thing to say about the ship war between Elriel and Gwynriel. Everything else is entirely my opinion and will be kept my own.

This concept that it’s ‘misogynistic’ to ship Elain with Lucien (or anyone else with Az besides Elain) is bugging me. Do I see the point about Elain needing to be able to make her own choice? Obviously, absolutely. Does that mean she can make only one single choice and it better not be Lucien because then it would be the wrong choice? Uh…no.

Here’s where this also falls apart: Elain has repeatedly, in canon, stated that she wants a quiet, simple life. This is not wrong. This is Elain Archeron making a choice for herself. That’s what we want, yes? Well, why do some of y’all then whip around with these theories that “Oh! Elain is going to be a spy like Az and murder people and learn to fight and all that!”

I know this is a small margin of Elriels, but this is as harmful as some of the language that’s been thrown about regarding Gwyn’s trauma. And I feel it needs to be pointed out.

Elain, as a woman, needs to be making her own choices. And she has. She has chosen a quiet, simple life - and to demand she gives all of that up for a man (especially with the whole “He’s broken and dark and needs her” concept thrown in the mix) is simply not a better alternative to misogyny at all. Suggesting a woman must change who she is and how she lives to fit the perfect mold of a man is just…no.

Allow Elain to make a choice. More importantly, allow her to make a choice that is hers and not her love interest’s.

Riddle me this, if SJM had planned for Az and Elain to be endgame from book 1 and she had slowly been building their relationship up to this over the course of 4 books, why did she write a s*x scene between Azriel, Nesta and Cassian?? If Azriel is in love or almost in love with Elain like the E/riels are saying, why was he supposed to sleep with her sister? Because he doesn’t peg me as the sort of guy who sleeps with your sister while he’s in love with you. And I really don’t think Elain would be ok with a guy she’s supposedly in love with sleeping with her sister. And please don’t start grasping straws by saying SJM lied to us when she said that her editor made her take it out because it was to graphic and that she really took it out because she decided she wanted E/riel to happen, y’all if that was the case I seriously doubt she would have told us about that scene in the first place, knowing she would just have to lie to us.

I will set the scene ✨✨✨✨ Lexi is in Ravenclaw and Fezco is In Hufflepuff, it’s set when season 2 is set (with out the pandemic obv) ashtray is there as well he is most definitely Slytherin or Gryffindor (I can’t decide, he’s got a hero complex when it comes to fezco but he gives off major Slytherin vibes). Lexi and fez have the same classes and she’s really smart and he is in awe of her and can’t help but admire her constantly, she notices him looking at her all the time and she thinks he’s really cute, they both have a crush on each other. They have only spoken a few times when fez makes up a stupid excuse to talk to her, like “hi Lexi, can I please borrow a quill”. It real fluffy and then they finally break the ice (probably at a quidditch game) and become great friends and talk every single day! This leads into a beautiful pure wonderful love and romance between the two.✨✨✨✨

Yooooo, Javon (ashtray) just came out and said that it was supposed to be fez that died in the season 2 finale, but they changed the script ONE DAY before filming. I want to know what Sam has against fezco because he was supposed to be killed off in both seasons now. I feel like I don’t even want to keep watching if Sam is so determined to kill him off, will we ever be able to stop asking ourselves gee I wonder if Sam will really go through with it this season.
