Yang, taking a seat next to them: It's a library, Ice Queen. Sometimes I like how quiet it is.

Blake, her ears flattening under her bow: How much did you hear?

Yang, picking up one of the books: Enough. Gotta say, wish I thought about reading up on it when I started to figure out I was Pan.

Weiss, folding her arms across her chest: Glad that you two know what you are. I'm still going to need some time.

Blake, sighing in relief: I'm just happy you're not making a big deal out of this whole thing.

Yang, putting her feet up on the table: What's there to make a big deal about? I was in the same spot as you two for a bit, and so was Ruby when her egg cracked. I'm just surprised neither of you asked for help from us.

Weiss, checking her scroll for a second: I didn't want to make a big deal about it with you two. Besides, I didn't want to risk getting a bad reaction about it.

Blake, picking up some of the books to return them: Weiss has a point, I'm still a bit cautious about letting people know I'm a faunus, and this was a bit more personal.

Yang, getting up from the table: No need to explain, but if you need any other help figuring things out, you can ask.

Weiss, watching them walk away to return some of the books, with more questions than before: Wait... What does Ruby cracking an egg have to do with any of this?

Cinder, her eyes beginning to fill with tears: They were supposed to take care of me. I thought they wanted me as part of their family.

Winter, her fingers tensing against her arms as she watched her pick up a rock:

Cinder, throwing the rock at one of the windows, picking up other things from the ground to throw as well: YOU SHOULD HAVE HELPED ME! WHY DIDN'T YOU HELP ME?!

Cinder fell to the ground, her tears falling as she let all the pain she had been running from finally caught up to her. Winter knelt down next to her, placing a hand on her shoulder for comfort. She signaled for the guards accompanying them to stand back.

Winter, trying to comfort her as she cried: Sometimes the people that are supposed to care about us don't.

Cinder, placing her hand on top of her's: Why are you doing this? Trying to help me after everything I've done?

Winter, pulling her into a hug: Because I know what it's like to not have someone be there for me. And while we can't erase the things that we've done, we can take steps towards bettering ourselves and easing the pain.

Blake, a little surprised by the question: Sometimes, but I don't think it's the same way as what you mean.

Weiss, sighing a little: Neptune and I had a date the other day. It wasn't anything special. But I've just been thinking about what happened when we kissed.

Blake: Let me guess, he tried to slip in some tongue?

Weiss, laughing a little: I wish it was just that. It just... didn't feel right to me. I kept thinking about it, and... I thought about what it would be like to kiss someone else instead.

Blake, tilting her head a little: You seemed pretty sure about wanting to date Neptune.

Weiss, groaning a little in annoyance at herself: I know. I thought he would be a good guy to write home about. Someone my parents would be proud about me for dating. But that was part of the problem. I've been thinking about how... I've only looked at dating based on what my parents expected.

Blake, starting to get what she meant: And you're not sure if you actually feel that way anymore.

Weiss, hugging her knees closer to her chest: How do you figure out what you want in life when everything you've done has been either based on what your parents want, or in spite of it? How can I even begin to try and figure out who I want to be with?

Blake, placing a hand on her shoulder: I could recommend a few sites or books to research on, if that would help.

Weiss, gently smiling at the offer: Thanks. But I don't want Yang or Ruby to know about this yet. Especially not Ruby, yet. She'll probably go overboard trying to help me out.

Blake, understanding it: That makes sense. It's a lot to figure out, but it might be easier if you have help.

Weiss, sighing: I'm kinda thankful for being on this team. It's been an experience, learning that I didn't know as much as I thought I did about myself.

Blake, patting her shoulder: Well, whatever you figure out about yourself, let me be the first to welcome you as the only other member of the "Not as Straight as we Thought" Club.

Weiss, giving a short laugh: I'm really glad that no one else was here to hear that. Yang would have made some really bad jokes about that.

Blake, getting up: Alright, let's get back to the dorm, and we can start off with researching tomorrow.

Weiss, following her back inside: Yeah, this might actually work out.

Ruby, flipping through the pages: I told you, I was testing a fix I did to the coupling and it came off the hinges. Could have happened to anyone.

Sun: You also set an unofficial record on one of the toughest sims. Definitely got Ironwood’s attention.

Ruby, stopping on the vehicle specifications page: Haven’t seen a jet like this before. Do they really think it’ll stop one of those big monsters?

Sun, fiddling with a wrench from a nearby toolbox: They didn’t tell me the whole story with it, some special projects group is working on something else. You’ll just be flying support with a squadron. To be honest, they had us fit some kind of control unit into it, and some kind of microwave emitter.

Ruby, closing the folder: No idea what this “White Heron” is supposed to do to fight off kaiju, but I’m not one to turn down a challenge. When do I start?

Sun, secretly happy to be working with her again: A couple weeks, we just gotta hope your new partner also agree.

Weiss, reluctantly reaching for the folder: I take it that they made some excuse due to psychics showing up around the first sighting of Godzilla?

Winter, placing her hand on top of Weiss’: Before you read into any of this, you have a choice. You can sign up to help with a special operation, or you can move in with me as a civilian. No strings attached.

Weiss, pulling her hand back with the folder: Father blames me for what happened to Whitley, and used me being a psychic as an excuse to have me committed, I am going to show him and the world just how strong I am.

Winter, giving off a small sigh: Very well, I’ll support you in whatever you choose. Training will begin in two weeks. Until then, I expect you to become acquainted with the contents of the file. I’ve also arranged for you to move into an apartment with your new partner on this project. Hopefully, this will give you a sense of normalcy after so long.

Weiss, smiling for the first time in months: Thank you, I look forward to this new start.

Professor Port, Head of Weapons Development: It's becoming clear that public opinion is shifting away from G-Force, and the UN may be coming to a vote to shut us down.

Raven Branwen, Head of Personnel Training: So, why are we all here then? What's so important that we have to meet in secret?

Ironwood, pressing a button to reveal classified files: It's time we bring Project: Kiryu into play.

Oobleck, taking off his glasses and rubbing his eyes: We filed that away due to the controversy behind it's construction. If word leaks, G-Force would be shut down, and we'd all be tried as criminals.

Port, standing from his seat: Not to mention the weapons systems are still in operational phases. It could cause greater damage than good.

Raven, using her console to bring up files on Ruby Rose and Weiss Schnee: Then there's the main candidates. Even if we forgive Ruby for the flight simulator incident, Miss Schnee is still under psychological evaluation. Do you really wanna plug a psychic with PTSD into a giant robot?

Ironwood, bringing up footage of various Kaiju attacks: I'll put it simply, either we bring Kiryu online, or the next Kaiju attack won't be contained to a single city. It'll be a warpath across the continent.

The Department Heads each sank into their seats, noting the risks of both action and inaction. After solemn contemplation, each voted in reluctant approval of the plan.

Raven, a particular venom in her voice: Alright, General, What now?

Ironwood: Recruitment of necessary personnel had already started. Now we wait, and we pray.

This post will be a mild introduction to the three main AUs I plan to fill this blog with. Hopefully you all enjoy, I will also accept asks and messages about different types of AUs as well.

HareWolf AU: In a world of humans, Faunus, and monsters, we follow the misadventures of Velvet Scarletina, a newly bitten werewolf, and several of her classmates, who happen to either be monsters or end up finding out what’s supposed to be a secret.

G-Force AU: Set in the Godzilla universe, we follow RWBY characters as members of G-Force, an international agency designed to fight against Kaiju attacks.

Star Wars AU: A mixed universe of RWBY and Star Wars concepts, we follow Weiss Schnee as she attempts to flee from the shadow of her father, who supports and provides weapons for the Empire, by smuggling herself to the Outer Rim. Unfortunately, the smugglers she hired, Yang and Ruby, picked up another passenger who holds secrets that the Empire would rather have snuffed out.
