i just want to talk about kintsugi because i fucking love it and fob is stirring THAT pot. kintsugi is the japanese concept of restoring broken ceramic or pottery by applying a thin layer of glue and spreading gold powder over it to repair it. the message of kintsugi is strongly laid in the idea that broken things can sometimes be repaired into even more beautiful items. That sometimes the flaws we have don't need to be hidden away, and can add value to our character instead. Not all cracks are ugly, not all cracks are unfixable. kintsugi KID, i think, is really about how people grow up and gain cracks and the kintsugi kid is making the broken cracks of themselves into features, not blemishes.

Gonna assume the queen dying sucks kinda in the same way it would have sucked if Trump died while he was the president in the sense that we'd all be meme-ing about it all to hell but every official news outlet and all the politicians even ones who hate him and shit would be forced to treat it like this Horrible Somber Event and talk about how unpatriotic celebrating is and how we have to be nice cuz he was the president and then he'd basically become this untouchable martyr and it would overshadow every shitty thing his government had ever done and was continuing to do until they could basically get away with whatever

But like 8000000% worse

To all the parents out there who bundle their babies up in the winter time with those little hats with the little ears that make them look like little teddy bears: You are doing the lord’s work. Seeing tiny ewoks toddle across the grocery store parking lot is just what we all need sometimes. My joy is immeasurable and my day is restored.
