Give me the same vibe. Iguro as Zeldris
Tumblr media
I have a feeling, the TTC or demons just face palm at their prince stupidity sometimes. They look at Zeldris "This is your brother?" And "This was the fearsome and powerful prince?"
Some are convinced he is doing this on purpose
Nnt Watching TTC
most of them 100% absolutely do. Even the TC and Zel do at times, even though they know better than to think of their former leader as an idiot just because he acts like one. It seems counter-intuitive, i know, but I like to think that Meliodas can actually play a certain role extremely well, especially since he's been doing that pretty much since the first time he died.

She wants to have the life ladybug had. Did you watch the special or you just didn't listen properly?
I'm betting that Claw Noir wants to wish his mom back to life. I dunno what Shady Bug wants though.

I think the real reason of the power up all of a sudden is because of the mark he received
Swordsmith Village Arc Review P1
Tumblr media
Warning!!! Not spoiler free!!
Since the anime wrapped up, I thought I would do a long review on how I personally thought this arc was, mainly looking at the plot an not necessarily at the animation.
So, let’s be real here, the Swordsmith village arc, despite its conclusion, was not great at all. It could have been a lot better, had there been more efforts put into the writing.
Now don’t get me wrong, I am not calling anyone out or insulting the creator I am just trying to give constructive criticism and nothing else.
Tumblr media
A big issue here to me is Tanjiro. We spend a lot of time showing his skill set and power-up which is hardly believable. The arc starts after he has been in a 2-month coma. I don’t know how much time has passed until he goes to the village but that hardly can explain his insane amount of progress. His strength feels more plot convenient rather than well presented.
We spent little time on fleshing out and showing the skills of the hashira. Unlike in previous arcs, where we got lots of insight on how strong a hashira can be, with rengoku and Uzui, both Mitsuri and Muichiro are heavily sidelined. On top of that the upper moon Muichiro is battling is hardly any kind of threat, and more efforts went to the upper-moon Tanjiro was battling.
I don’t know what reason was behind the fast pacing, but because of that there was little time spent on a major foe. When all upper-moons are hyped up as hashira killer and being in their position for more than a 100 years then the writer should put some efforts into delivering.
In the end since Tanjiro is the protagonist, he needs the more fleshed out antagonist.
Inherited Memories:
This is another issue. While the idea and concept is actually very interesting it is only used on Tanjiro and conveniently enough he sees just the right ones.
Since Kotetsu can guess what he might be seeing it is safe to assume that it does happen to multiple people and therefore make it odd that only Tanjiro has them.
There are multiple characters with ancestors that knew and interacted with Yoriichi. So again, the inherited memories feel just convenient rather than a well thought out concept.
It is aside from this very ridiculous that Muichiro did not destroy Yoriichi Type 0. All he did was rip off an arm. We established that he is much stronger than Tanjiro, not only through his hashira title but also showing that he is physically stronger. We also know that he does not care about breaking it or not. Yes his sword breaks during training, but he must have still done a ton more damage to that thing.
(I don’t really see much for a reason in Kotetsu crying over this because Yoriichi type 0 is not going to be relevant after this arc, and since the nice kindhearted Tanjiro destroys it. It is fine.)
On a side note, I have watched lots of reactions to this season and I must say it is ridiculous how negatively people thought of Muichiro just because of his bland nature. Like to me Kotetsu was just annoying, you know the typical annoying children animes tend to present you as cute or likable whereas they just are not.
(Besides, I might be the only one but when Tanjiro tried to interject and be again that ‘amazingly’ nice person to stand up for Kotetsu and then got knocked down by Muichiro, it was very satisfying. Since this is the point where I am getting very tired of the endless ‘oh look how nice’ Tanjiro is that the series forces constantly on us.)
Furthermore, this arc while seemingly being about the two hashira is relatively little about them and much more about Tanjiro’s progress. Which is another big issue. Of course, he is the protag and all, but occasionally, focusing on others and giving them time and interest is not a bad idea. It adds a lot of depth to a story.
There is nothing wrong with taking your time and properly showing other characters and what they are like. Your Protag does not make a whole story!! All the characters and concepts added around him is what truly make a story.
Another big issue of this arc is the sword that Tanjiro will receive. It is Yoriichi’s sword but at this point, we don’t know much about him at all and why his sword would be so special. There is no connection that would make us understand why the sword would be so important.
Furthermore, Tanjiro was doing completely fine with the sword he had the whole time, making it even more questionable why he needed the other one. Had there been much more background on the sword one would understand the connection. And had Tanjiro struggled a lot more with the sword he already had one would understand why he needed the other one. In the end, I kept forgetting that he needed a sword at all.
Another issue of this arc is a common Shounen issue and that is writing the arc in a way that the protag finishes off the enemy. For most stories, it hardly makes much sense. there is always a lot of effort put into justifying why the stronger ones cannot do it and too much focus on the mc. This is the second upper moon he decapitates.
Please keep in mind that all this is my own opinion and how I feel a story would be more interesting if you don't agree with this it is completely fine and there is no need to be upset in case you don't like my opinion.^^

Oh ok :))). I really like the idea of Mel being distressed XD
I am rewriting the plot to the most recent seven deadly sins movie. Because I hate the fact that Elizabeth is always the damsel in distress. I have seen an art piece or two surrounding the idea that Meliodas was the one who was cursed and not Elizabeth. Here we go!
So the premise is that Meliodas is left alone with Tristan. Elizabeth is out on a trip, be it pleasure or otherwise. So she is very far away from Liones castle, and can only really communicate to her husband by writing notes.
Tristan is the same as he is in the movie: skipping practice so he can ride horses with Gowther. Unfortunately Meliodas is not pleased with him, and confronts him about it at the table. When Tristan shouts at him that "you're never going to understand me, father," and runs away, Meliodas persues him and tries to reason with him. Meliodas and Tristan have an argument, and it angers Tristan so much that he gets into a physical altercation with him. Or hits him as his father tries to stop him from leaving once more. But before he can run off once more, he mutters that he hates him (kind of out of Tristan's character I know, I know. Just go with me on this okay?) And goes back to his room.
The next morning the castle guard wakes up Tristan, informing him that Meliodas has passed out. Terrified, the young prince runs to his fathers' room, seeing Meliodas sweaty and breathing heavily. Tristan claims he is unable to break the curse, but says that Elizabeth can.
However, he is unwilling to wait for his mother, saying that they cant risk waiting around for Elizabeth to come home to heal him. He's found the signature of the curse, and says he is going out to save his father. Tristan feels terrible about what he said and did the other night, and says that this is the only way to make it up to him. He will do whatever it takes to save Meliodas, and charges on ahead to Edinburgh while Elizabeth is contacted.

When he full countered Twigo, he accidentally killed him along the way (Mel: Opps...), during in his last moment, he told his soldiers to tell the holy knights that Meliodas was alive and then dead.
In the other battles It was just easy for Mel to battle the New Generation. Because Mel has beaten the knights that they send so easily, the kingdom send more or a group of new generation to track down the seven deadly sins and prevent or kill them.
What if Meliodas never lost his powers? Bassicly Meliodas never lost control in liones when they were being attacked. Or Merlin never took it from him
How would the story go? In season 1 and 2
It would probably be pretty much the same, except Mel never had the dragon handle taken from him and him going berserk in Vaizel probably wouldn't have happened.
They'd also probably struggle less against Hendrickson in the fight in Liones.
Meliodas would still let himiself be injured by Gilthunder though, because he needed the information on the other Sins.

Ok, so imagine this, the curse right? It's a death curse that will slowly kill him or gets worse if Meliodas wouldn't recover. So Tristan and Elizabeth need to hurry

So, during the fight between Akaza and Kokushibo for the rank. Akaza accidentally broke or damage the flute that Kokushibo carried. Akaza would be confuse why Kokushibo has a flute and may or may not mock him. Kokushibo just stand there and slowly approached the broken flute and put the pieces back to his kimono.
I'm not pretty sure of Kokushibo's reaction but I'm pretty sure he will reminisce giving this to Yoriichi and learning he is still has it even after he became a demon.
Kokushibo sliced Akaza after that which caught Akaza off guard

I'm pretty sure, Mel's last thought. Was thinking how extremely lucky to be born to meet the sins and Elizabeth. He was born happy. Apoligizing to his brother everything he had done and saying sorry for leaving him again.
When he saw Elizabeth and sins crying, he thought was "Don't cry, don't forget to smile for when you cry. I can't bear it. I'm sorry"
What do you think the sins and Zeldris thinks about Meliodas death at this point? I know the sins would be sad but won't blame but still be in 5 stages of grieve and Zeldris well... that would be a different story. I think he would be extremely angry that his brother died at the hands of Elizabeth. The same woman who made his brother suffer and had the audacity to be the one to kill him after what she had put him through :(((

THANK YOU!! 💜
This is actually not something I thought a lot about when I wrote this fic. Because A) the focus was on Elizabeth and her feelings, and B) the story doesn't really deal with what happens after Meliodas' death except the immediate aftermath - so this ask was a lot of fun!
Now, let's see if I can answer this somewhat organized. Also consider yourself warned, this is gonna get looong XD
Okay, so, the Sins.
I definitely agree with you there, they would be upset, sad, caught in their own grief, but they wouldn't blame Elizabeth. However, I do think they would blame themselves. Meliodas knew what he/they were doing, and he would have done it all again, if it meant the others lived. And the Sins know this, because they know Meliodas. He sacrificed himself for them - that's something that would weigh heavily on them. They all got ambushed and overwhelmed, they failed to defeat their enemies and that resulted in Elizabeth having to use her move and Meliodas dying because of it. Just like Elizabeth, they too would be haunted by the what-ifs, the constant question if they could have saved him if they'd just done something differently.
And! This is also the second time they had to watch Meliodas die, unable to do anything to help him. Except this time, with the curse broken, he is truly dead. I think Merlin especially would struggle with that. She's known him for 3,000 years, through all the years of the curse. After the Ten Commandments killed him, she alone knew that he would eventually resurrect. I think both she and Elizabeth, given their respective pasts with Meliodas, would have a hard time with the fact that he really won't come back to them this time, no matter how much time passes.
I also wanna take a moment to talk about Ban before we move on to Zeldris. Ban and Meliodas' relationship is definitely one of my favorites in the anime, and it only gets better along the way! I mean, through secret reveals, murder attempt, literal death, their bond just gets stronger. And that's not even mentioning the millennia they spent together in Purgatory. Which I think is especially noteworthy in this scenario, since that means that except for Elizabeth and Merlin Ban is the one with the longest history with Meliodas. Personally I think Ban would be mostly angry - maybe even get stuck in that stage of grief - because to me it seems like that's the emotion he most easily falls back to when faced with things like this. He wouldn't blame her, but I think he would be angry at Elizabeth and even more at Meliodas himself, for doing this. Which I also think would make him even more angry at himself - he tried to kill Meliodas once in an attempt to save Elaine, who the hell is he to judge?? We saw how angry Ban was at his helplessness when Meliodas lost his emotions, at how he couldn't do anything to help him. I think it would be like that, except so much worse this time. That time, Meliodas was still there (not himself, but there), and in the end, Ban could help him (go to Purgatory to find his emotions). This time, there's nothing that can be done.
Now then... Zeldris...
His relationship with Meliodas' is such complex, but since this is taking place after the curse is broken, they're also in a better place than they have been in literally 3,000 years. Now, as with many of my fics, it gets a little fuzzy about how in line with canon this takes place, but... Even if Zeldris isn't ready to call Meliodas is brother yet, I think he would at least be entertaining, in his own mind at least, the potential of a relationship they now can have. Their father is dead, they're free to choice their own lives. For the first time, Zeldris was faced with the possibility of actually getting his big brother back, of getting to actually talk and bond with him as he always wanted. And then Meliodas is killed. It's heartbreaking to think about, and I think Zeldris would struggle a lot with that grief. He lost his brother all over again and now he will never be able to forgive Meliodas for what he did all those years ago or rebuild their relationship.
Zeldris, like Merlin and Elizabeth, would also struggle with the finality of Meliodas' death. Growing up like they did, with Meliodas being this big-shot demon, the demon even goddesses feared, the next Demon King, and on top of that just being Zeldris' big brother that he looked up to so much, gave Zeldris a (in a way) skewed view. I think that back then, to Zeldris, Meliodas seemed almost invincible. And no matter how his opinion changed, 3,000 years later, Meliodas was still there, unchanged and hopelessly himself, and then Zeldris helped kill him, but Meliodas still came back. So, I think that it would be a hard pill to swallow for him as well that Meliodas truly is gone this time.
As for his feelings about Elizabeth's role in Meliodas death -well, obviously he would be angry. I think most people would be angry if someone was the cause behind their brother's death. That being said, given that this takes place after the curse is broken, I don't think Zeldris would have been as angry as if this had happened earlier because I believe his view on Elizabeth has changed. Still, unlike the Sins, Zeldris doesn't actually know her and while they see the Demon King as the root of all Meliodas' suffering, to Zeldris Elizabeth is still the one who pulled his brother away from the demons and set off the start for all of his suffering.
Another thing that's worth thinking about in this scenario is how did Zeldris find out about Meliodas' death. Did he find out by himself? Did Merlin or one of the other Sins tell him? Or was Elizabeth herself the one who told him? If Elizabeth was the one who told him, I think his anger would be more directed at her. Because she would then also be directly connected to not only Meliodas' death but to Zeldris finding out about it as well. Also, I doubt Elizabeth in her own guilt would explain and phrase the event in the same way that the Sins would. If instead Merlin or any of the Sins would tell him, someone who doesn't hold Elizabeth responsible for his death the way she herself does, then I think Zeldris anger would be more directed against the enemies who actually attacked them and brought forth the events leading to Meliodas' death.

When Zeldris visited Mel, he was happy in the inside to finally talk with him. Something he always wanted! But his happiness was shattered when he told by the news.
He stormed off without the sins even explaining themselves, Gelda runned after him after apologizing to the sins, leaving the guilty sins in the tavern.
They were left to think about the things they should have done. There regrets. How would Mel have done something in this scenario. What would Mel do. Before Zeldris arrived at the tavern, they were talking about breaking the news in Britannia, how disappointing and sad everyone be if they found out Mel is dead.
There was knocking in the door, when they opened it. It was Zeldris and Gelda, wanting to talk with his brother. This is when horror rises from the sins and Elizabeth.
Fuck, fuck, fuck---!!!
They forgot to tell Zeldris-!!!

I hope we could ramble on in this blog and comment XDDD

Holy shit! I love your characteristics!
I do love to think if Elizabeth was the one who told Mel's death, she would have her words caught on to her throat and wouldn't explain clearly, Zeldris would definetly hate her even more even years has past on, because he will never resolves his relationship with Mel because Eli's the one who killed him, nor moving on (at least he tries to).
After Mel's death the sins caught on with their grieve that they forgot to tell Zeldris about it. I imagine Zeldris visiting his brother with Gelda by his side so they can finally talk things out, only to find out he died on the hands of Eli.
...
Yeah, after that they never seen him ever again.
What about Liones then? The trio of troublemakers? What do they think that there hero was killed by their princess? That would be a huge shock yes, the whole kingdom would be grieving as the sins, but the sins got it way worse because they were so close to Mel and this was the second time they saw him died. Only this time he will never come back :(((

It seems Zeldris still doesn't like Eli which is fair, tbh, it was kinda her fault his brother is in this state...
When the dust fog up. You could see Estarossa carying Mel in his lap and Zeldris checking Mel's wounds while the other commandments crowded them.
"Damn it he should have use his powers" Zeldris cursed. "Even in this rate, this kid still isn't using his demonic power to heal himself" Galand said.
"This is gonna be a bother" Deriere replied. Zeldris just sighed and gestures Estarossa to give Mel to him. "We need to get him help as soon as possible" he said as he stand up, carying his brother in bridal style
"Excuse me but who are you?" A voice asked. The TC turned their head to Elizabeth. Zeldris frowned and growled at her but replied calmly "I'm his brother while behind me are my team"
"H-his brother?"
Zeldris nodded, turning his head and looked at Meliodas. "Forget about that l, we need Meliodas get some help" he then turned to his team "Take care of that human while I take care of Meli"
The TC nodded their head.
(I really want Mel to be unconscious for a while and wake up when he fully recovered)
The commandments split into two groups.
Ideally, Zeldris would've liked to submerge his brother into one of the healing pools, but obviously that wasn't an option right now. Since they also didn't have any medical supplies suited to demons, he opted for the best he could come up with: to use his demon magic and heal his brother that way, at least until he was out of danger.
Meanwhile, the other commandments were crowding around Elizabeth and trying to explain the situation as best as they could to this Elizabeth, who seemed to have lost her memory and become human sometime in the past 3000 years. They had been watching and figured out enough to be able to navigate the situation with her, but they'd have to ask Meliodas about the specifics once he woke up.
While that was happening, Baltra had joined his holy knights on the battlefield and joined his daughters side. He was nervous to be standing right in front of elite warriors of the infamous demon clan, but kept his composure.
The Sins' attention was torn between the two groups of demons. Ban approached the smaller group that included Zeldris first, to watch and make sure they weren't harming his friend. He was shortly joined by Merlin, who floated a container over to Zeldris. "Use this, it'll help", is the only thing she said to him. Zeldris regarded the box with suspicion. "They're medical supplies I made with specifically Meliodas in mind", Merlin explained. Zeldris knew who she was, of course. Merlin the mage, extremely shady, but Meliodas seemed to trust her, so he would have to, too. "...if this is some kind of trick, I'll make sure you regret it, mage", Zeldris told her and took the contents of the box.
