imo one of my greatest skills as an artist over the past couple years is knowing when to call things finished and STOP working on things which has been wonderful for my mental health!!

obviously that has pros and cons but so much of this project was getting feedback late and me going “ok not my problem”; not in like a ‘ignore feedback’ way but in a “I don’t care that you can’t tell that the wolf is a wolf because literally how am I going to replace all that work within 4 days” so I just. Teal Pumpkin Kitchens's Halloween Bake Sale

Thought I'd share my final college project from this semester! Our task was to design a fictional company and an event poster for said company

Thoughts under the cut!

I feel like I never put too much effort into school projects because I'm never super interested in them; it's good practice, of course, so I still try, but I always just brush off minor mistakes because I'm not being paid for this anyway (though I guess I am in a way due to financial aid grants 😅)

For example, "Golden Gate Park, Monarch Bear Grove" does NOT read that well on the final poster (my instructor said they read it as "park monarch" as in a ruler of the park LOL), but I honestly couldn't be bothered to fix it

Anyway, I feel like my biggest strength as a designer has always just been my process. Final product? Not always great. But the amount of ideas I can churn out in 10 minutes? PRETTY GOOD. Hoping I can develop that skill more as I finish my Associate's degree
