So... I think I'm more or less done with Destiny 2. I'm feeling generally dissatisfied with the current content's trajectory and story beats, I'm still sorely missing the past content that was removed, the mounting technical issues have become increasingly frustrating, and the monetisation feels more oppressive than ever. All in all, I just find myself with little desire to engage with the game and I've been revisiting it less and less over the past year or so

This probably doesn't come as a surprise considering this blog is already generally pretty inactive these days, but I'm posting this just to make it official. I think I might keep it active to preserve my old posts, but I doubt I'll be posting anything new

At the same time, I'm wondering if there might be another long-form game that could serve to "fill the void", so to speak. I really want to get into FFXIV but queuing for matchmade content makes my anxiety spike like mad and I'm not sure it's sustainable 😓 I think having a specific role to fill and an expected way to perform it is way more intimidating than D2's comparatively unstructured matchmade content

Wasn't sure where else to reach out, so I figured I'd ask here. Open to thoughts/ideas/recommendations if anyone has them
