kind of understand why the show is rizzoli & isles because i could watch an entire show about maura isles but asking me to care about jane rizzoli on her own requires a suspension of disbelief i simply do not have.

but the lack of respect and projection is nothing new, it was there before jackie died.
and are you implying that jackie does not love shauna? because for me it's the other ways around.
(Well firstly, jackie definitely loved shauna. I never meant to imply that she didn’t. It was more so shauna’s relationship with jackie after her death that made me halt the ship breaks, than anything pre- death. Which is why my analysis tends to delve more into Shauna’s feelings than Jackie’s. I apologize for that.)
Shauna and Jackie’s relationship was one of toxicity. they both loved each other but they both never revealed themselves to each other in their entirety. They were both caught up in playing their respective roles in their “best friendship” that any part that didn’t fit was violently repressed. Did Shauna project unto Jackie before her death? I don’t think so, and definitely not with anything near the sheer levels she did after her death. She may have been stuck in the role of viewing jackie as the “perfect princess everyone loved” and may have resented being kept in her shadow, but shauna saw Jackie. She saw Jackie’s insecurity, her fears, her weaknesses. She tried to cover these weaknesses up their early days in the wilderness, and it was her knowledge of Jackie that made their final fight so much more brutal. Because Shauna knew Jackie, saw her more truly than anyone, and used that knowledge to hurt her.
I wouldn’t say there was truly any projection till after her death. Because pre-death, Shauna resented living in Jackie’s shadow but didn’t want to replace her. Post-death, Shauna wanted to Become Jackie, and just like she repressed her edges that didn’t fit in her friendship with Jackie, she repressed the parts of Jackie she couldn’t/didn’t want to emulate/see. And unlike the reality of Jackie that could fight back, dead people can’t break the fantasy you’ve placed them in. By dying, Jackie was able to play her role in their friendship perfectly. With nothing to reveal, there was nothing to hide.
This might sound really critical of Shauna, but the farce of their friendship was contributed to by both of them. In the same way Shauna saw Jackie pre-death, was the same way Jackie didn’t truly see Shauna till the last few days leading up to her death. There was real resentment there, as much resentment as there was love. And it’s resentment I would use to replace the “lack of respect” you say was in their previous relationship. It was resentment that drove shauna to sleep with Jeff, as well as her love for Jackie. Both feelings (resentment and love) were indistinguishable to her in her relationship with Jackie prior to her death. After Jackie’s death though, there was only projection and longing.

I don't ship shackie bc shauna doesnt respect jackie
I can very much vibe with that viewpoint but I don’t really think it’s so much a lack of respect, as it is a way of coping. When jackie died, she died. Her rage, her fears, her dreams, her desires, but more importantly to Shauna, her forgiveness died with her. Shauna was left to deal with all the guilt from their final argument alone, and it would have broken her if it already didn’t. So she imagined a version of her best friend that forgave her, loved her, and was more sympathetic than the real jackie would reasonably have been.
Ghost jackie plays along with shauna’s delusions, confronts her with her desires and fears while also condoning it, excusing it. Shauna is hungry and wants to eat Jackie, Ghost Jackie is the one that brings it up, is the one that tears off her flesh, that asks her to eat. Adult shauna is feeling guilt over Jackie’s death in Jackie’s parents’ house, ghost Jackie confronts that guilt and goes “well but it’s fine.”
While I don’t ship shaunajackie after jackie’s death, it wouldn’t be of a lack of respect or love from Shauna’s side. It’s moreso bc of the fact that Shauna had lost Jackie with her death, and the person she loves now isn’t Jackie anymore. It’s her projection of guilt and shame that takes on the form of Jackie. She loves the Jackie she imagines, the Jackie who protects her, who loves her back, who she needs, than the person who Jackie was.
You could interprete that as a lack of respect (which is a really valid interpretation to have) but I see it as the way she was forced to cope with her grief.

it is so fascinating for character analysis when characters do something “in honour” of a dead character said character would have hated. Like shauna eating jackie and going “she wants us to” like jackie didn’t flip out the first time cannibalism was on the table. There’s something about the romanticization of a character after their death. The words that are placed in the mouth of a corpse knowing it can’t be spat out.

blue lock is so stupid im obsessed with it. sixty percent of you guys would be ten times better at midfield. this whole project is definitely illegal like are they all just skipping school for months that can’t be legal. the rin/sae conflict was building up to be this mysterious tragic event and it was just that sae’s the only person in the whole entire manga who can understand that some people are better at midfielder. reo needs to redistribute his fucking wealth instead of having a gay crisis in soccer hell. there is an on-page comparison of the soccer goal to a womb. one character vanished for several chapters and came back looking and acting like he’d literally been deployed to war this is not an exaggeration. i’m pretty sure every character needs therapy but i can’t even begin to figure out what for

i think the concept of tipping is ridiculous.
Not because i think you shouldn't tip (because you should) but because of how optional it is when it makes up the bulk of income for most waitstaff.
It's also awful that most service workers are underpaid to the extent they have to rely on tips when they were thought of as essential during a pandemic.

you know what? fuck it i hate all might
there has been a recent uptick in positive all might/dadmight posts recently, and i'm 90% sure the recent arc was meant to underline just how bad for deku all might was.
Their first interaction did not do him any favours. All Might destroyed a kid's dreams on a roof, after a traumatic encounter with a sludge villain, then left him alone on said roof after pushing on him a huge state secret, with no inquiries as to his mental health or how he would be dealing with this... everything.
Not including his attempts to push izuku off mid-air, or his oversight at leaving izuku with adults who would be better equipped to deal with a child recently encountering a villain.
Then he gave him this huge ass power, did not explain the cons or anything about this power (although he had Ten. Months. to do so) and instead encouraged him on his bone-breaking exercises, until recovery girl rightfully chewed him out. then he hit deku (slightly out of context, i admit but dude. you aren't the kid's parents and do not have the guardian's permission for Any of what you're doing, do not hit the child.)
Also, speaing of deku's parents. deku was 14 when all might fed him his hair. FOUR. TEEN. Do you know what that means? he could not give consent to any medical or physical modifications on his body. Things a quirk which breaks bones and might kill you, kinda fall under. But all might told him to keep the secret safe from his own Mom, essentially isolating him from any adult who could help.
He didn't even introduce Gran Torino until much much later, although he himself admitted that Gran Torino was much better equipped to handle the ins and outs of the quirk than all might was. but Nada. Nothing. THEN he has the audacity to promise inko to keep her child safe when he is the reason her child was in danger in the first place (a promise he doesn't keep a la using him as afo bait in the recent arc without even informing inko... bastard) knowing full well the limits of his own body, and while keeping secrets from her AND deku.
Bakugo calls him out on his keeping secrets bulshit but all might doesn't stop keeping secrets, no, he keeps it tight to the chest until deku is in danger. AGAIN.
Like, nothing about all of this inspires trust or responsibility, this is just reckless child endangerment without the knowledge of an actual guardian in place.
It's somewhat worse, cause all might is an authority figure on two counts (pro-hero and teacher), he SHOULD know better but he leaves his own class high and dry and plays pretty explicit favourites with deku and -to a lesser extent- bakugo. the dude SUCKS. he is suspicious and sketchy as hell (like, dumbledore and harry sketchy, endeavour and dabi sketchy.) and i'm so tired of "dadmight" because he shouldn't even be around deku as a teacher, not to talk of as a parent.

also going to point out that the can reads "lip service" which is hori's nod to the audience not to take anything bakugo says at face value.
