California Love - Part 6
Max Mayfield x Reader

Max had always been an enigma, surrounded by mysteries and strange occurrences. But ever since I had started having these visions or flashbacks, everything around me felt even more complicated. The line between reality and delusion was blurring, and I wasn’t sure which one I was living in. I sat upright in bed, my mind racing. The door was open, and I felt an inexplicable dread. I grabbed the shotgun from the table and cautiously moved towards Max's room. I knew something wasn’t right. The whispers and shadows I had encountered were more real than any nightmare.
Pushing the door open slowly, the room was empty. Max’s bed looked like it had been slept in, but she was nowhere to be seen. Panic set in. I had promised Lucas I’d protect her, and now she was gone. The soft moonlight from outside revealed footprints on the wooden floor. Without wasting any time, I followed them. They led to the dense woods that surrounded the cabin. The cool wind and the howling of distant creatures made me even more apprehensive, but I had to find Max.
After what felt like hours, I found myself in front of the junkyard again. This place had some inexplicable significance, but I couldn’t figure it out. And then, in the silence, I heard it – a soft whimper, almost like someone crying. Drawing closer to an overturned bus, I found Max. She was knelt down, staring at her own reflection in a puddle, tears streaming down her face. “Max,” I whispered, approaching her cautiously. She looked up, her eyes filled with terror. “They’re coming for me,” she mumbled, almost incoherently. “Who, Max? Who’s coming for you?” She looked around frantically, her breathing heavy. “Vecna. He’s found us, and he’s got an army, he’s coming for us for everyone.” The pit in my stomach grew. Suddenly, an eerie silence enveloped the junkyard. Shadows danced around us, and a cold, gripping wind blew. From the distance, a figure emerged. Tall and skeletal, wrapped in tattered robes with a single, glowing eye – Vecna.
“I offered you my help, Y/N,” he boomed, his voice echoing in the silence, “and you chose to defy me.” Summoning courage, I stood up, positioning myself between Max and the menacing figure. “Don’t come any closer.” I warned. He tilted his head in amusement. “I’m not here to hurt you, but are you really going to stand there as a protector for people that don’t care if you die or not. Memories or not, you can tell they don’t like you.” Vecna says looking down at me. “What can I gain from hurting you or Max, Y/N? She’s already given me more than enough and what do I gain from killing you? Nothing, I just want to give you your memories back, let me help you.” He says taking another step towards me. “Are you going to stand with them, or with me?” He asks as he holds out a hand for me to take. “They took your memories Y/N.” He ‘reminds’ me for the third time.
“Give my your hand.” His voice raises as he moves it closer. “Give it to me.” He says louder, the same 4 words begin to repeat over and over, getting louder and louder in my head. His voice screaming in my head. Wanting it to stop I grab it, not really focusing on what I was doing, instinctively wanting it to stop I reached out. My head shoots back and everything rushes back ti me. Eddie leaving, Max and I in Cali, Dr Brenner, meeting Dustin, El attacking me in the woods. All of it. Vecna chuckled. “I told you, I don’t want to harm anyone. I merely wanted to just give your memories back, the original ones, before Eleven messed with your head.” Before I could react, the world around me shifted, and I was back in the cabin with everyone surrounding me. But something was off. Their faces were contorted, their eyes dark, void of any emotion. They reached out to me with elongated fingers, and the room echoed with their sinister laughter.
Lucas’s voice echoed, “Protect Max…” over and over until the room began to spin. Suddenly, I woke up, gasping for breath. It was another vision, another nightmare. But Max… she was right beside me, looking as terrified as I was. “It’s okay,” she whispered, trying to comfort me. “It’s just a dream.” “No, it wasn’t,” I replied. “What happened?” She asked her eyes glistening with curiosity. I opened my mouth to tell her but I’m instantly hit with the memory of El attacking me in the woods. I have the advantage now, they don’t know I know. I’ll just play along. “I just had a flashback to the starcourt mall.” I lie. “When you and I were running from the demodog.” I recall to which she nods.
“Yeah, I remember that, you almost died that day, saving me.” She says adjusting her seating on the bed, moving a bit closer to me. As she responds it instantly hits me why she spoke half heartedly with memories of us, it’s because they didn’t exist. Her memories were completely different to what El gave me. But I am aware of what actually happened at the starcourt mall because of my first and only visit to Max at the hospital. “Y/N, you probably know this, but, I want you to hear it from me. You know you’re my favourite person, right?” She asks, sounding genuine. It didn’t seem distant like most of the responses I’ve gotten from her. Or maybe I’m just being delusional and imagining that she’s being sincere. I nod. “You’ve always been mine too Max.” I say to which she gives me a small smile before looking down and it fades. “Y/N.” She says looking back up at me. “I need to tell you something.” She says before she stops and looks to an empty corner of the room, which I assume Eleven is probably in, talking to Max.
“Yes?” I ask to which Max shakes her head. “Don’t worry.” She sighs before looking at the door and then back to me. “Can I stay here.” She asks, before I can open my mouth she rushes to get her next words out. “Just like how we used to sleepover when we hung out with the others.” I nod, not trusting my words now with my in a way new knowledge. Aware that we had never actually slept at each others house, even in California, my mum had never let me. I always had to tell Max no whenever she asked because of my mum, I never knew why but I listened, only in recent years being aware of what she thought would have happened if I gone and slept over or if she had slept over. Max smiles gratefully and covers the blanket over herself. Smiling, she turns and looks at me while I just stare at her. “Goodnight Y/N.” She says before shutting her eyes. “Night Max.” I whisper before turning around and closing my eyes.
A/N: I’ve maxed out my writing because two posts within one week is wild. So this is your only crumbs until the next international event, Christmas. 😈

All Too Well - Part 3
Sadie Sink x Reader
Walking towards the parking area, we decided to carpool in Sadie's vintage blue convertible. The engine purred to life, and the wind rushed through our hair as we drove through the city, taking in its vibrant nighttime energy.
"You know, New York has some of the best eateries. Any preferences?" she asked, her fingers tapping to the beat of the music playing on the radio. "How about something Italian? I could go for some authentic pizza," I replied, my stomach rumbling in agreement. "A girl after my own heart," Sadie grinned. "I know just the place."
After a short drive, we parked in front of a rustic-looking restaurant, 'Giovanni’s'. The aroma of baked bread and simmering tomato sauce wafted out as we entered. Taking a seat by the window, we quickly settled on Margherita pizzas and glasses of chilled white wine. We began talking about our childhoods, our dreams, and the paths that led us to where we were. Sadie shared tales of her early auditions, the rejections, the heartbreaks, and the eventual triumphs. I talked about my love for cinema, my first film, and the euphoria of applause.
Before we realized it, hours passed. The pizzas were long gone, replaced by tiramisu and coffee. "You know," Sadie started, her eyes thoughtful, "with all the characters I've played, it's these real-life moments, these simple connections, that I cherish the most." I nodded, taking a sip of my coffee. "Absolutely. Life is all about these little moments."
As we wrapped up and walked back to the car, the city around us seemed more alive, lit up not just by the streetlights but by the warmth of the bond we'd just formed. Driving back, the city lights blurring around us, Sadie's voice broke the comfortable silence. "You know, we should make this a regular thing. Not the filming, but hanging out. It's rare to find someone you just... click with." Smiling, I responded, "Absolutely. Here's to many more pizzas and deep conversations."
Reaching my place, I thanked her for the delightful evening, promising to see her on set the next day. "Oh, and Sadie?" I called out just as she was about to drive off. She looked up, a question in her eyes. "Next time, it's on me." She laughed, her head thrown back, the sound echoing in the quiet night. "Deal!" she exclaimed before zooming off.
Climbing the steps to my apartment, I felt a lightness in my heart. Yes, the filming had brought us together, but it was the shared experiences, laughter, and stories that built the foundation of the growing friendship. The next morning, walking onto the set, I was greeted with familiar faces. Everyone seemed more like friends than co-workers. Sadie ran up, giving me a quick hug. "Ready to steal the show?"

MOVIE COMES OUT TODAY 🥳🥳🥳
Alive - Part 1
Gwen Stacy x Reader
Tumblr media
Masterlist
Gwen misses you. Not a day goes by where you’re not on her mind. The memories of you bleeding out in her arms flash repeatedly in her head. She lost you almost a year ago and she wasn't feeling any better than the day you left her. Every night she continues to wake up in pools of her own sweat as she jolts up, trying to catch her breath as she looks towards the photo of the two of you on her drawer, thinking of what went wrong, how she could've saved you. The guilt of your death gnaws at her constantly. Like the neverending cycle she seemed to be stuck in after your death, she continues to grab the picture, holding it in her hands as she does every night after each nightmare and stares at you, your smile.
The same one you held on your face as you took your last breaths, trying to be strong for her. Where did it all go wrong? She always seems to forget how it happened, the only part she continuously remembers is you dying. But as the vicious cycle goes and never ends she thinks back to the moments, the blurred lines becoming clear as she’s pulled back to the moment you carelessly throw yourself in front of her while she’s waiting for the pain that never arrives. You stole it from her. You lost your life for something stupid, you lost your life for her. It wasn’t meant to go this way, it wasn’t supposed to be you, what happened to you should’ve happened to her.
She was supposed to take the hit, she was meant to fall down and cry out in pain, not you. You were meant to be the one that finished high school and do something good with your life. She knows what she signs up for when she puts on the mask, the second she puts it on, it’s like signing a contract, understanding what may or may not happen to her. She knows the risk, she accepted the risk. You didn't. You had no idea what you were getting into when she approached you, complimenting the school project you presented to the class, something you thought would be good for vigilantes like Spider-woman. Curious to know more about it, she approached you after the class ended.
Originally, she thought approaching you was one of the best decisions she had ever made. Over the next few weeks you two had become stuck together like glue, having similar interests and hobbies. You both began ditching your own friends at lunch to continue talking with one another. Both of you drawn to each other like a moth to a flame. You were barely seen apart, you walked to classes together, even if you didn’t have the same subject, neither of you cared for being late to your own classes as long as you got to spend another minute with each other.
After school you’d usually stay with her for band practice, doing your homework while she played the drums. When she finished you'd walk together and usually stop at a cafe on the way to her house. Now she avoids taking that route home, preferring to walk an extra 10 minutes in hopes that she isn't haunted with the reminder of you any longer. Her efforts always fail as you never really leave her mind. The first week or so after your death was the most agonising, she seeked for you during school, only to remember what happened because of the constant pitiful looks she received from her peers.
When she hit the third week mark she began to feel something else, something different. Sometimes you’d feel distant, like you’re there, just far away, as if you’ve gone on vacation and she’s just missing you, it was a numb feeling, all she knew was that she missed you and couldn’t feel anything past that. It was a rare feeling to her, foreign, but it had happened a few times, mostly during the first month or 2 after you passed.
By now she had cut off communication with everyone, with her family, friends, band members, peers. Everyone. When she began pulling away her friends noticed and tried to stop her, repeatedly trying to hold onto her, keep her close. But she wouldn’t let them. She kept on distancing herself until they wouldn’t dare speak to her, only giving her a smile in the hallways. Everyone she had known and everything she loved had become nothing to her. All she wanted was you to come back, that was the only thing that could pull her out of this depression she slipped into, or that’s what she thought.
To say meeting other spider-people was a relief is an understatement. It gave her a feeling she hadn’t felt since you, being understood. You listened to her and made her feel heard. You were her support, her lifeline. Things that she had no one to turn to about didn’t exist when you were around. But since you weren’t here, she needed something else, someone else. Like a gift from God she was given not one but 5 people who have been through what she has, and have struggled with the same things. The universe gave her that break that she so desperately needed, she might not have been aware of it at first but she needed it. It got her away from you and what happened to you, now that doesn’t mean you left her mind. You never did, but with the help of the other spiders she didn’t feel so lost anymore, so unsure of what was going to happen.
For the first time in what felt like forever she didn’t feel so suffocated anymore, finally being able to take a breath of fresh air. Like her head has finally come out from underneath the water, the water you pulled her under. She was holding onto something that wasn’t there anymore. She needed to let go or she’d drown too. When you first met her she was under a lot of pressure, only just beginning to understand her abilities. You were her escape, no stress when she was with you, nothing was short of amazing when she was with you. Now, with you gone you seem to add onto the load she’s already got, the freedom you used to give her now being replaced with guilt, anger and sorrow. You can’t give her what she so desperately yearns for, what she craves for. What she needs.
This getaway she had with the other spiders got her through the pain you gave her, now leaving something similar to a bittersweet ending. Way more bitter than sweet, but its progress, she’s getting there slowly, step by step. When she got back home she had landed in a familiar setting, one she hadn’t been in for months but one she’d never forget. The alley she lost you in. Her chest tightens as she looks around, tears stinging her eyes as she looks around, the memories rush to her like it just happened. Her breathing becomes uneven as she feels the ghost of your body in her arms as she sits down where she picked you up to hold you. But her breath catches in her throat when someone grabs a hold of her shoulder.
Another Spider-Man? He takes her to a place he calls the lobby, filled with other spider-people. It’s not too long before the man she now knows as Miguel O’Hara begins to take her on missions. Her latest one was versing the vulture, she did it with ease, with grace, like a ballerina. She takes a deep breath as she looks down making sure everyone is okay. She doesn't get the chance to look too long because someone begins to clap from the sidelines. She turns her head to be greeted with a person she's longed to see for so long, one she's been dying to see. “Y/N?” She whispers as Miguel walks over to you, now standing beside you as you begin to engage in conversation with him. She isn't given the chance to stare a little longer because Jessica begins to call her over.
“I want you to meet a good friend of mine. Y/N.” Jess introduces you to the girl who’s still got her mask on. Her breathing begins to grow laboured the longer she stares at you. The heartache in her chest is stronger than ever as she fights the urge to reach out and touch you as well as cry and break down all at the same time. “Nice to meet you …?” You say, waiting for a name which she doesn't give. “Gwen, she must be tired from that amazing stunt she just pulled.” Jessica speaks for the white spider. Your smile falters for a split second before nodding in understanding. “I hope to see you around Gwen.” You respond before walking off with Miguel, looking back once more in hopes her mask would be off but she’s frozen in the same spot you left her.
“You alright there?” Jess asks as she puts a hand on Gwen's shoulder. “Hmm? What? Oh yeah, I’m good.” She responds as she pulls her eyes from you. “That doesn't sound very reassuring.” She comments with a laugh while Gwen pulls her mask off. “L/N?” Gwen whispers, her eyes moving to Jess. Jess looks from your fading figure in the distance to Gwen. “Yeah, how did you-” She stops mid sentence as she meets Gwen's eyes. “Something happened to her in your universe, didn’t it?” She asks as Gwens eyes go back to you. That can't be you, no way. You died 9 months ago, she saw you die, you died in her arms, she held you until your last breath, she heard your last heartbeat. But somehow, here you are, looking like nothing happened and that you just continued to age and grow in time with her.
“Hey, if you want, I can tell Miguel to do missions without her, avoid her, might make you feel better.” Jess says as she rubs her hand soothingly on her back. “No.” Gwen responds a bit too quickly, but she didn't care, the universe just gave her a second chance, a do over, a way to fix her mistake or prevent it from ever happening again. She wasn’t about to lose it that quickly.

Part 4
I lean on a tree nearby as I wait patiently for Max to get up, as I’m there I hear voices, and as I look around I’m no longer by the grave, instead I’m at a lab. I look around for Max and call out her name to be met with silence, I begin walking around as I call out for but then this man calls out my name as he stares at me through the window of a door. I walk closer to him and that’s when I can see my reflection, I’m a few years younger than I am now and my eyes seem to be bloodshot, but then out of the corner of my eye I see a few people walking close to me with hazmat suits on and they’re holding guns so I turn around quickly blasting them away with a surge of energy coming from my hands.
I look down at my hands and at the men who seemed to be knocked out cold from hitting the metal walls so roughly. I turn back to the man who called my name and see the name tag on his shirt, Dr Brenner. He seems to be saying something but it’s muffled so as I go closer to him to hear better, and that’s when I can hear him saying my name repeatedly before his voice slowly morphs into Max’s and I’m suddenly pulled back to the forest with max holding my shoulders and shaking me back and forth, worry on her face as she calls my name.
“Y/N! Are you okay?” She asks me as I look around for the doctor. “Yeah, yeah, I’m okay.” I say as I continue to look around us. “Hey.” She says moving her hands from my shoulders to my jaw and turns me to face her. “Are you sure? You kinda look like your in another world.” She says laughing a bit at the end but the concern still laced in her words. I smile softly as I look at her. “I’m fine, I promise. Are you okay?” I ask as her face seems to relax a bit at my words. “I’m as good as I can be.” She says forcing a smile before dropping her hands and looking around. As she goes to take a step I grab her hand and pull her into a hug.
“It’s gonna be okay. I’m gonna get you out of here Max.” I say as she hesitantly wraps her arms around me and we just stand there for a bit before she pulls away. As she pulls away she quickly turns and begins walking as her hand quickly rushes up to her face to wipe something, but she wasn’t quick enough for me to not notice a tear streaming down her face and I quickly walk up to her max. I want to say something but I don’t, I just follow her as she guides me around wherever the hell we are.
“Y/N!” A voice calls out, I look at Max, she doesn’t seem to hear it as she walks towards a cabin in the distance. Climbing over logs and rocks she continues as a voice calls out my name once more, sounding more louder, in my head. “You coming?” Max asks now looking back at me from a top of a large rock. “Yeah, coming.” I say as begin following her. “Y/N.” The voice whispers into my ear. I jump, turning to my left. “Who’s there?” I call out to nothing. “Y/N?” Max asks stopping and now walking over to me.
“Did you hear something?” She asks now next to me as she looks further into the forrest. “Come on, it’s getting late. We should get there quickly.” She says grabbing my hand and tugging me behind her, only until she is in reach of the door handle is when she drops it, only making a move to grab the key from her pocket. She opens the door grabbing my hand one more and pulling me in behind her. Just as she turns around to close the door I see a figure, it wasn’t human. It was grey and had what looked like tree roots slithering all over his body as he stared at me, his mouth turning into a smile, instantly sending shivers down my spine. “Wait!” I say reaching out to stop max from closing the door. “What are you doing?” She asks as I pull the door wide open. Nothing, just the rocks and logs we’d passed coming here. “Sorry, thought I saw something.” I say to her as she looks at me suspiciously before shutting the door after her.
“What’d you see.” El says instantly appearing in front of me. My surrounding changed from the one at the cabin to what I can only guess to be a basement. “What did you see Y/N?” Lucas asks stepping closer to me. Everyone else also surrounding the couch I was laying on. “Did you see this?” Nancy holds up a drawing, exactly what I saw. I nod, they all look at each-other. “Vecna.” Dustin whispers straightening his posture. “Who is that?” Lucas starts shaking his head, a string of no’s spilling from his mouth. “Y/N, listen to me carefully.” He says putting his hands on my shoulder. “You need to protect to Max, okay? You do anything you can to make sure shes safe. We’re going to try and figure out things, now you go back there right now while we talk here. Okay?” He says as I nod. “Y/N, promise me, I need to hear you say it.” He says, his eyes not once leaving mine. “I promise.” I say and he smiles softly, the first genuine smile of his. “Stay safe out there Y/N.” He says making me nod as el walks over to me putting her hand over my forehead.
“Y/N!” Max says relieved as I open my eyes, I look around, back in the cabin, I let out a breath I was holding in. I look up, max smiles down at me, that’s when I notice my heads in her lap as her hands hold my cheeks. I sit up. “Is everything okay out there?” She asks as I look around. “Kind of. How long was I out for?” I say looking at the window that was bright only a few minutes ago now completely dark. The moonlight shining through the cracks of the blocked window. “About an hour?” She says glancing at her watch. “An hour?” She nods as I walk around. The cabin, she follows behind me. “Have I been here?” I ask looking at things, some sort of familiarity as I look at the shotgun laying on the table. She goes to answer before she hesitates. Glancing to a empty corner in the room for a moment before responding.
“Yeah, hoppers cabin, you don’t remember?” She asks half heartedly, I nod, my hand collecting dust from the table as drag my fingers across it. “Im not really sure if I’m allowed to tell you this, but I saw some guy out there, Dustin called him Vecna.” I mention to her, the blood drains from her face as her eyes slightly widen. “What?” Her voice barely above a whisper as she glances towards a window. “Hey, max. I’m gonna protect you okay, I’m not gonna let anything happen to you. I promise.” I say walking over to her until I’m placing her hands in mine and she’s looking at me. She slowly nods before suggesting we should go to bed. “There’s a Queen bed in there.” She says pointing towards a door as she walks into the room further down the hall. I walk into the room once she disappears into hers. I shut the door, siding underneath the blankets and close my eyes.
“Oh it’s cruel what they’ve done to you Y/N.” The dark shadow of a man says across the room from me. “You’re a kind person, You don’t use your powers often and when you do, your using them to do good. Knowing what they’ve done to you after calling themselves the good ones is awful, truly.” He says circling me, still in the dark. His voice deep as continues. “I know who you are Y/N, I know what you are and I’m okay with that. I believe in you, I care about you, unlike them, they use you. They don’t care about you, they just want you to protect their friend. Your Max.” He steps out into the light. I can see him clearly, he walks towards me. “I want to help you Y/N. Even Max knows what they did to you. The guilt eating her up.” He says backing me to the wall. “Let me help you.” He says putting his hand above my head making my eyes roll back.
I open my eyes gasping for air, I try to take deep breaths to calm myself as I look around the room. It looks normal, but my heart drops when I notice the open door.
A/N: This one is in honour of hitting 10 THOUSAND likes, bloody hell. I don’t know what to say. Thank you all so SO much. You’re all amazing. A/N: GUYS I FINALLY MADE A NEW TAGLIST
New Taglist
“Y/N!” Max yells on the other side of the door. Knocking against the wood with her fist. “Y/NNNN!” she drags out my name still smashing her fist against the wood. “Coming!” I yell quickly getting out of bed and walking towards the front door. The knocking continues until I open the door to reveal an angry Maxine. Her expression seems to soften once I open the door and thanks me after walking in and past me. I shut the door behind her and follow her to my bedroom. Where she sprawls out on my bed. “You okay?” I ask taking a seat at my desk and turning my chair to face her. “No.” She mumbles, her voice slightly muffled by the bed beneath her.
“Wanna talk about it?” I ask as she begins to roll over, her body now face up. “No.” She says beginning to sit up and looking at me. I nod as sits up, her hands in her lap, playing with skin around her nails, her hair is tied up into a ponytail and little flyaways at the top. Her cheeks red and freckles litter her face. I look at her eyes and realise she’s looking around my room. Staring at the posters on my walls we bought together and then the box filled with comics we read when she comes over. I look back at Max, her jaw clenched and she’s silent. Her hands gripping tightly on the bed sheets beneath her. Her eyes continue moving around my room and her knee begins to shake.
Unsure on what I should do I begin to stand up and walk over to her, taking a seat on the bed beside. Only then is that her eyes land on me, I give her a smile, which she returns only smaller. Now being so close to her, I notice the puffy and slight bloodshot eyes. I think she noticed it too because she turns her head away from me. “Max.” I say leaning forward trying to get her to look at me. She doesn’t reply, just continues looking around my room with her head faced away from me. Deciding on whether or not my next decision is the right one I put an arm around her back. The other following suit and wrapping across the front of her body. My hands connecting on her shoulder. She freezes, she stops everything she’s doing for a second.
“What are you doing?” She asks turning her head to look at me. “What, I can’t give my best friend a hug?” I ask to which she doesn’t respond, staying silent for a few seconds before she hesitantly leans into me. She turns her body around to face me and leans into me, her hands clawing at my shirt, trying to close the space between us, she shuts her eyes tightly and nestles her head into my neck. All while hands tightly grip my shirt, I draw circles on her back in an attempt to calm her and we sit in silence for a while, my hands continuing to draw circles and rub her back soothingly only hesitating once I feel wet splotches on my skin. Naturally I begin holding her tighter and lean my head onto hers.
We sit like this for a few minutes before she shifts, I instantly drop my hands and she begins to move out of my arms and out of my space. “I’m sorry.” She says trying to quickly remove the tears that stain her face. “That was weird.” She says only glancing at me before looking away. “It was pretty weird.” Her head whips toward me, her mouth slightly open as she stares at me with wide eyes. Without missing a beat I speak up again. “I’m only joking, it makes sense with what’ve been through. What you’ve gone through.” I mention to which she sits silently. ”It’s okay to not be okay. You’ve been through so much.” I say moving a bit closer to her, waiting to see if she’d pull away to which she doesn’t so I scoot close enough to not be over a meter away like before and close enough to reach out and touch her, yet still giving her space to pull away.
“You have too, and I don’t see you breaking down into anyone’s arms.” She says, her blue eyes piercing into mine. “The only arms I’d break into are yours, but you never give me any hugs.” I say to which she rolls her eyes at, a smile tugging at her lips. “No, but seriously I, it’s a different story for me. Most nights I wake up drowning in my own sweat, sometimes screaming. Like thank God my parents aren’t home a lot. I don’t know what I’d do then. They’d think I’m psychotic or something. I also get ghost pains from bite.” I say to which we both look down at the 20cm healing scar of demo-dog claw marks going down my calf from a few years back. “Rarely, but it’s a pain when it happens.” I say looking back up to her. “We’re all messed up in some way. And there’s nothing wrong with that because we’ve literally saved Hawkins so many times. If anything it should be expected, it’d be weird if there was nothing wrong with us after all this.” I say putting my hand on top of hers which makes her look down at it. “It’s gonna get better. We’re going to get better.” The rooms silents, my words hang in the air before she lifts her eyes from my hand. She doesn’t speak as she flips her hand up and slips it into mine. “Do you wanna stay over tonight?” I ask after looking at clock beside my bed. “It’s late, I’ll get you some clothes for tonight.”
A/N: This one is cause someone in my inbox so kindly asked me to come back. Give you a little crumb Yknow. I’ll begin writing another one later. 20 reposts on this and I’ll release the next part of all too well. 😈 Also do yous want a part 2 to this or nah?

Valentines Special
Sadie Sink x Reader

Masterlist
"Y/N!" A familiar voice calls out from behind me. I turn around to be met with Sadie jogging towards me. "Hey Sadie." I say smiling at her as she smiles brightly at me. "Did you need something?" I ask as I suddenly remember she ran to me. "Do you- Can I?" She begins to say but pauses before restarting her sentence. "I just finished my scenes for the day so I thought maybe we could hang out?" She suggests, her hands playing with the sleeves of her blue and yellow 80s jacket. I glance down at my wrist. 6:25. Earlier than usual. "Yeah, of course. Did you wanna take off your clothes?" I ask looking towards her trailer. "What?" She asks, her voice higher than usual as her widen and eyebrows knit together. My eyebrows furrow and my head tilts at her reaction. "Your clothes? You're still in your clothes from set?" I say wary, unsure if my words could cause the same reaction. She raises an eyebrow at my words but looks down and notices her clothes and her eyes widen. "Oh! Right. Yeah, of course." She says as she looks back up at me. "Come with me." She says as she reaches out for my hand and pulls me towards her trailer.
"So what do you have in mind?" I ask as I take a seat on her bed and watch her disappear into her bathroom. "Well, since it's Valentines day and we both don't have dates I thought it'd be nice to go to a restaurant. Something we could do as friends and enjoy." She says looking at me through the bathroom mirror as she holds 2 hangers with a dress on each, moving 1 in front of her before the other. I nod at the ground before her voice calling out to me makes me watch her as she walks out of the bathroom. "What do you think?" She asks as she holds the 2 hangers, one on each side. "Red or Black?" She asks as she moves them in front of her to look at them properly. "You already know what I'm gonna say." I say, a smile tugging at my lips as her eyes meet mine. "Black. Got it." She says rolling her eyes and walking to her wardrobe to hang the red back.
While Sadie changes I decide to mention the early finish today. "So you guys finished filming early today." I call out to her as I walk around her trailer. "Yeah. The Duffers said something about them needing to repeat a scene from California with Finn and Noah so I left early." She says making me nod. "So did Millie, Maya, Joe and the others finish early?" I ask as she slides the bathroom door open and grabs her makeup bag before returning to the bathroom, this time the door open. "I think so, I'm not sure." She says as she begins washing her face. "What time did you want to leave?" I ask watching as she makes a move for a face towel. I stand up and pass it to her. "Thank you. I was thinking maybe 7? Does that work?" She asks looking back at me. "Yeah. Wait. Where are we even going?" I ask as I realise I had no idea where we were going.
She turns back at me once more and and smiles before facing back to the mirror. "It's a surprise." She says making me groan. "Well obviously somewhere fancy." I say as I fall back onto the bed. I hear her laugh before speaking up. "What makes you say that?" She asks as if she doesn't know how I'm going to respond. I look at my watch. 6:45. "I guess I should go get ready." I say pouting as I walk to her door. I look back at her and she's already paused in her movement, her pink makeup sponge in her hand as she smiles at me through the mirror. I smile back before opening the door and shutting it behind me and as I begin making my way to my trailer I decide to send Millie a text. The one time I get a day off you finish early? Lucky bastard. After sending it I turn my phone off and slide it back into my pocket before opening the door to my trailer.
I look at myself once more in the mirror, looking myself up and down for anything I can improve. "Hey Siri, what's the time?" I call out to my phone that's charging on the other side of the room. "It is 6:58pm." She replies making my eyes widen as I quickly pull my phone out of the wire and shut the door, locking it after me. But then I realise I forgot the red roses I had just gotten. Quickly after unlocking my trailer, running in grabbing the roses and locking the door once more I begin speed walking to Sadie's trailer. As I walk I realise it's pretty silent. Where is everyone? I ignore it and reach her trailer. I knock on the door and as I wait for a response I look at my wrist and watch the 7 flick into 7:01. I made it, it was the end of the minute but I made it.
The sound of the door unlocking pulls me out of my thought and I smile as I see Sadie. "Hello beautiful." I say taking a step back and looking her up and down. She turns her head away as she smiles and lightly hits my arm telling me to stop. I smile and hand her the roses. Her eyes widening as she accepts it. "For me?" She asks as she looks at me, her mouth slightly agape. "Yeah, I thought it'd be nice, y'know it being Valentines day and all." I say grinning as I quote her words from before. She smiles, rolling her eyes at me as she grabs my hand and pulls me towards a car nearby. We both take a seat in the back and the driver begins making his way to whatever restaurant we're going to. I pull my phone out from my pocket and still no response from Millie. Weird
We pull into the underground parking lot of a tall building in the city and I get out of the car offering my hand to help Sadie out before she guides me to me to an elevator. I watch as she taps the second highest floor, my eyes slightly widen and I know she takes notice of this because I can see the small smirk playing on her lips. Once we arrive at the top and the elevator doors open Sadie reaches for my hand pulls me with her towards a desk with a receptionist behind it. She smile brightly greeting us and I look around. It's packed, there's no way Sadie had gotten this last minute. But then again she is a celebrity, she could've used her status, but I know she's not like that. Maybe someone cancelled last minute, couples break up all the time, someone must've booked and then broken up with their partner and cancelled their booking which made an opening.
"Booking for 2 under the name Sadie Sink" She says to the receptionist making me look at her. "Yup, got you. Perfect timing, 7:30 on the dot. Right this way." She says guiding us towards a secluded table in the corner of the restaurant which gives us quite a bit of privacy. I pull out Sadie's seat and she thanks me before sitting down. I take a seat opposite her and look out the massive window beside us. Their was a beautiful sunset to the right of us. "How did you manage to get this so last minute?" I ask as I turn my eyes to her. She shift around in her chair before speaking up. "I uh, I don't know. Luck I guess?" She says as I nod. "Must be the luckiest girl." I say as I look back out to the view. "Yeah." She whispers just loud enough for me to just hear it. I turn back to her, she's staring at her hands which are on the table. She looks upset. I furrow my eyebrows and lean over the table placing my hand over hers which makes her look up at me. "Hey, are you okay?" I ask, concern laced in my voice since I'm genuinely concerned. "You know you can talk to me about anything, right?" I say making sure she knows that I am here for her. She forces a smile and gives me a nod. "Yeah, I know, thank you." She says making my eyes narrow as I pull my hand back and look at the skyline. I feel a soft smaller hand on mine and I look at her. "I mean it. Thank you." She repeats as she smiles, genuinely this time. I nod and pick up the menu a waiter had just placed in front of us.
"So I said no and just walked away." "No you didn't!" Sadie says laughing. "I literally did, because like what did he think he was gonna do, expel me? He doesn't even have the authority to do that." I say as she continues laughing. "And nothing happened?" She asks as she attempts to stop her laughter but failing miserably. "No, well. The principle came after me but I literally just lied to her because what's she gonna do, ask for proof?" I say making her laugh even louder. "How do you get away with so much?" She asks as she tries to poke bean on her plate with her fork but misses because of how much she was shaking with laughter. I smile before I feel a vibration in my pocket. I excuse myself to go to the bathroom. I pull my phone out and notice the Caller ID. "Hey Millie, took you long enough to respond. Anyways, did you want to come to my trailer to watch some movies with me later tonight?" I ask not allowing her to say anything. "What? Yeah, sure. But what are you saying I had a half-day I literally just got off set." She says making me pull my phone from my ear to read the time. 8:12pm.
"Oh, what the hell. Sadie said you guys finished early?" I say confused as to why she finished later. "What? It was only her who finished early, said she had an appointment at like 7:30, said she couldn't cancel." She says as her words slow down and she pauses before gasping. "Wait, is she with you?" She asks "Yeah." "Oh my God, are you guys doing something for Valentines day? WOW, just leave work." She says faking annoyance. "Hey, my character is not needed today, I was off work." I reply back but she ignores my comment and backtracks to earlier in the conversation. "What are you guys doing?" She asks and I respond by sending her my location and she gasps, loudly this time. "No you're not!" She says not believing me. "What, what is it?" I ask curious to know why she reacted like that.
"You can't get a booking there for months and you'd still get a bad spot, and especially Valentines day, thats fully booked for the next like 3 years and there's only a few spots left for 4 years from now. It's literally one of the most expensive and luxurious restaurants here." She says making me raise my eyebrows. "Are you serious? She was telling me she got it last minute." I say and Millie laughs. "Noo, she's lying to you hon. She must've bought it from someone else." She says making me think back to when we entered. "It was under her name though." I say confused. "She must've booked that years ago then." She says and I stand there silently before remembering Sadie's waiting for me. "Oh shit! I gotta go, bye Millie I'll see you in an hour or so." I say waiting for her response. "Bye Y/N." She says before I end the call look at the mirror and fix my look.
I walk out and notice our table is empty and I look around notice Sadie leaning on a wall by the elevator waiting patiently, she glances at her wrist before looking up and noticing me. Her face lights up as she meets me halfway. "I thought you ditched me for a second." She says jokingly but by the way her eyes lit up earlier I knew she was lying. "Yeah, sorry Millie called me." I say and she nods before tapping the elevator button. "What are we doing now?" I ask as we walk into the elevator. I watch as she taps the button for the highest floor this time. She smiles at me and looks back at the door and when it opens I realise we're on the roof. She smiles and pulls me towards the edge and we look at the view. "I saw how you were eyeing the view so I requested if we could go to the roof they said yes." She says making me smile before I speak up.
"Maybe I should have my date here." I say as I turn to Sadie and her smile falters. "Date?" She questions. "Yeah, me and my movies." I say and she lets out a breath. I look out to the city and it makes Millies words ring through my head. "You didn't finish early did you?" I ask making her furrow her eyebrows. "What?" She asks. "Today, you didn't finish early, you told the Matt and Ross that you had an appointment." I say and she winces. "Millie?" She asks and I nod. "Yeah, I booked this earlier." She says and Millies words repeat once more. "A few years ago?" I ask and she avoids eye contact nodding once more. "Yeah." She says defeatedly and I nod at her response, taking in her words. "So why'd you take me?" I ask and at first she doesn't reply, she just continues to look to the city glowing around us. The moon shines on us and after a few seconds she looks at me, her eyes glistening. "Why do you think?" She asks, her voice was soft, almost fragile, as if she would break any second.
"Are you serious?" I ask and she scoffs and turns around. "Wait! Sadie." I say grabbing her arm and turning her towards me. "You actually, like me? Like, like like me?" I ask and she rolls her eyes. "Yes Y/N, I like you. Why is that so hard to believe?" She says pulling her arm out mine but doesn't make a move to leave. She sniffs and thats when I take notice of the tears that streamed down her face. "Sadie" "Don't, please." She pleads as she takes a step back. "I like you Sadie." I say and slowly take a step towards her. Sadie looks at the ground as she responds. "But not like that." She says assuming my words as she tries to wipe the tears away. "No, I, I like you like that." I say and for the first time since she confessed she looks me in my eyes. "This better not be some sick joke." She says and I notice the redness in her eyes. "I'm not, I swear. Why is that so hard to believe that I like you?" I say copying her words from earlier and she looks everywhere but me. "Sadie. Please, look at me." I say as I put one of my hands on her face wiping the tear streaming down her face. She turns her face towards me. "God, you're too pretty to cry." I say as my other hand rises to hold her. Her face now sitting in my fingers. My eyes flicker down to her lips and I slowly move closer, mine hovering over hers. "Can I kiss you?" I whisper and she nods.
A/N: I LITERALLY DIDNT KNOW HOW TO END IT GUYS 😭💀 It’s ass, but like yeah. That took hours.

Falling In Love With You - Part 5
Max Mayfield x Reader
Tumblr media
Part 4
“I’ll be back Max, just going for a walk.” I say as I tidy up Max’s hospital room. “Oh come on! I may be blind but I’m not an idiot. Don’t lie to me.” She says folding her arms across her chest as her head faces in my direction since I’m making a good amount of noise as I try to throw things into a plastic bag. “I’ll be gone for like an hour or two so stop being so dramatic and even, you’ll have Lucas to keep you company.” I say as I chuck a can of coke into the bag. “If you’re not going to tell me what you’re doing at least tell me who you’re going with.” She says making my eyebrows raise. “Who said I’m going with anyone?” I ask and now she raises an eyebrow at me. “I’m not stupid Y/N.” She says as I put the comics neatly in the box.
“If you must know Will asked me to have lunch with him.” I say turning around and leaning on the table behind me as I watch her face twist into confusion. “What? Again?” She asks grimacing as a smile tugs at my lips due to the expression displayed on her face. “This is literally the 8th time this month.” She groans leaning her head back into the wall. “He’s been doing this we met. Kinda like tradition now.” I say as I check the drawers for extra change. “You would call your monthly trolley adventure a tradition, not going for lunch 2x a week.” She says with a confidence so high that even she was completely wrong you’d still be doubting yourself.
“It’s fine, I enjoy it, we get to talk about things, go for an ice-cream, it’s nice.” I say defending the shy boy. “Yeah it’s fine for you, not for me. Its been like this for 6 months. 6 MONTHS Y/N. Do you know how long that is?” She asks making me let out a laugh. “Just for a little longer, I promise. And who knows maybe Lucas will finally confess in undying love for you.” I say a smile tugging at my lips as I internally laugh at my words. However Max doesn’t seem to have the same reaction as she ignores my statement and returns to my previous one. “Just you?” “Yes.” “Not me?” “Yes.” “I’m coming.” She say’s deciding for herself and reaching out for her wheelchair.
“Hang on a second. Slow down.” I say as I move the wheelchair out of her reach. “I’m coming.” She says repeating herself as she moves my hand out her way and reaches for the wheelchair. “Max, relax for a second.” I say as I hold her back from being centimetres from falling off the bed. “Talk to me. What’s wrong?” I ask as I look into her eyes, and as grey as they were they, I could still see the colours inside, the eyes that were so dull yet were so vibrant at the same time had such a hold on me. “I don’t. Don’t leave me. Please?” She asks as she moves her hand around the bed as tries to find mine. “I thought you’d be happy? I’m becoming friends with yours? Isn’t this what you wanted?” I ask noticing her furrowed eyebrows. “Yeah but I don’t want you to i about me.” She pouts making me laugh. “I’ll be back tonight, I have plans for us.” I say as I pick up the clipboard with the medical details. “What plans?” She asks curiously making me smile as she tries to grab whatever I’m holding. “It’s a surprise.” I say which makes her groan. “I don’t like surprises, you know that.” She says moving her hands to her lap. “Well there’s nothing you can do except wait.” I say smiling as her shoulders slouch in defeat.
“What’s the time now?” She asks as I get off her bed and walk to the door. “2:15 I’ll be back by 5:30, 5:50 at latest and then you and me are going somewhere. After that I’m all yours, okay?” I say as reluctantly nods. I look back at her one more time before leaving the room shutting the door behind me. As I walk to the hospital exit Lucas passed me giving me a nod and a forced smile, I do the same, after he passes me I notice Will at the entrance smiling big and giving me a wave. “Hey Y/N!” He says walking over to me and giving me a hug. “Hey Will.” I say smiling as I hug him back. “How are you?” He asks as we begin walking out the hospital. “I’m good, how are you?” I ask which he responds that he’s well. “Is Lucas finally gonna ask today?” I say to will as we take a seat at a restaurant nearby to the hospital. “I, I think so.” He says as pick up a menu and says his order to the waiter, me following after him. I take a deep breath as I thought back to Max’s words.
“Hey will.” I say making him look up at me smiling. “Yeah?” He asks his eyes bright as he smiles widely. “If Lucas doesn’t ask her today we might need to chill out on our lunch dates. Max doesn’t say it but I think she’s beginning to believe I don’t like her or something.” I say as Will’s smile fades but nods understanding my point. “No yeah, I understand. Completely.” He says with a look in his eye to the point that I’m 100% aware he had experienced it. “I know that you know I started these lunch.” He says pausing before hesitates saying the next word. “Dates.” He says unsurely, referring back to the words I used. “Because Lucas wanted the chance to talk to her more and have the courage to ask her out again, but I’ve really enjoyed hanging out with you Y/N.” He confesses shyly making me smile which he returns. “I have too Will.” I say putting a hand on his shoulder to comfort him.
After leaving the restaurant and Will and I part our seperate ways I go home to grab a specific vinyl and return to the hospital, walking into the physical therapy room I had for the rest of the day. I open the record player and put it in, listening to the song to make sure it isn’t damaged. I look at my wrist for the time 5:48 it reads. My eyes widen as I begin sprinting my way to the other side of the hospital to reach her room in time. As I reach her door I slam it open and I’m heavy breathing as I lean down to put my hands on my knees as I try to catch my breath. “Y/N?” Max’s voice asks from the bed. I nod but since she can’t see me I have to use words. “Y-yeah.” I say between 2 breath. “I made it. 5:50.” I call out reading the time from my watch. “I don’t break promises.” I say standing up and putting my hands on hips now. A laugh slips her lips as I make a move to grab the wheelchair.
“Is it time for my surprise?” She says in a mocking tone as she hears the noise of me struggling to move the wheelchair in the messy room. (Lucas making a mess which I had to clean up again.) “Yeah, you think you can get in yourself?” I ask as she nods making a move before speaking. “I’d still prefer you to do it though.” She says forming a grin on my lips while a smirk is on hers. “What a child.” I say making her raise her eyebrows. “I’m older than you.” She says smirking as folds her arms over her chest. “Yeah. Physically, you grandma. Mentally I’m older.” I say making her scoff and I make a move to reach out to her to help her onto the wheelchair before wheeling her out the room.
“Where are we going?” She asks as I take a turn into another corridor. “Surprise.” I say reminding her, but after a few turns she speaks up once more. “Are we going to the gym?” She as I take another turn. “We are, how’d you know?” I ask as I make a final turn and walk into the gym aka physical therapy room. “I’ve been there almost everyday for 6 months I know the route.” She says as I shut the door behind us and walk over to the record player and play the track. “What are you doing?” She asks as one of Elvis’s track begins to play. “I promised you a dance didn’t I?” I say as I walk back to her and put her arms around my neck. “What?” She asks concerned as I put my hands on her waist and lift her up. “You, you said I’m not ready.” She says holding my neck tightly as I help her stand. “To walk. You can dance, with my assistance of course.” I say as I sway to the music. I begin smiling as the lyrics begin. Wise men say, only fools rush in.
Her eyebrows raise. “Elvis? Really?” She says questioning my music taste. “It’s a classic, how can you not like this song.” I say shocked. “Maybe I should let go of you right now.” I say reading her which makes her smile. “You love me too much, you wouldn’t.” She says making me smile. “Unfortunately, you’re right.” I say making her fain hurt. “Unfortunately?” She repeats as I laugh. “Yeah.” I say laughing and a smiles on her face as we move with the music in the back. Shall I stay, would it be a sin.
“So did Lucas confess?” I ask speaking up and her smile falters. “He did.” She says giving me a nod. “So you’re finally together?” I ask which cause her to pause and think of her words. “No, no we’re not.” She says making me nod. “Why?” I ask hesitantly, unsure of how she’d react. “I don’t.” She says pausing, her cloudy eyes bouncing around the room. “I don’t like him like that anymore.” She says. “That’s, that’s cool.” I say making her nod and she leans in closer, her head now resting on my shoulder. Darling, so it goes, some things are meant to be.
“I like someone else.” She speaks pulling her head up from my shoulder to make me look into her face. “Yeah?” I ask to which she nods in response. “They’re really kind and thoughtful, has stuck with me during my hardest moments.” She says making me nod. “She’s one of the funniest people I’ve ever met.” She says nervously, unsure whether to continue or not. “She sounds amazing.” I say trying to give Max the reassurance that I won’t judge her. “She is.” She says confidently. “I just wish I could see her.” She says, her head tilting down for a second. “Are you gonna tell El you like her?” I ask making Max furrow her eyebrows. “What?” She asks making me do the same. “You like El? Right?” I ask thinking to anyone else who was a girl but I could only think of her. “I don’t like El, like that.” She says as if it was obvious. “Who do u like then?” I ask my head tilting slightly. “You. I like you.” She says making my eyes widen. “Me? You like me? Like you like like me?” I ask to which she nods. “Yeah.” She says before we stand there for a few seconds, both of us not saying a word. But then she speaks up again. Take my hand, Take my whole life, too.
“Can I touch you?” She asks as I mumble a quiet yes, still unsure if I heard her words correctly. She moved her hands from around my neck to my face. Each hand on a cheek, her thumbs sliding back and forth across my cheeks. Her eyebrows furrow as she looks lost in thought, unsure of what to say. “Can I kiss you?” She asks making me stare at her, my lips parting in shock. “Yeah.” I breathe out unsure if my words were even heard. She softly smiles as she slowly pulls me closer, our foreheads now touching. She moves her hand slightly to find my lips, rubbing her thumb along them. One of my hands move up from her waist to her jaw. She smiles and leans into my touch. We both slowly lean until I can feel her breath on mine. “Are you sure?” I ask, my heart pounding against my chest, I could practically hear it in my ears. She responds by putting her lips on mine, her lips warm and soft. As we pull away I take a breath in, one I must’ve been holding. She laughs leaning forward, her forehead on mine once again. I let out a laugh as well. “You don’t know how long I’ve been wanting to do that.” I say laughing as my hand moves back down to her waist.
For I can’t help falling in love with you.
A/N: This is like 90% gonna be the final part for this series, glad some of you enjoyed it. Friends? - Part 1
Max Mayfield X Reader
“3, 2, 1.” Mike whispers to all of us as we nod and prepare ourselves to reveal ourselves to Dustin, “SURPRISE!” We all yell as we jump out from behind the wall, Max and I holding a welcome back sign. He screams and sprays something into my eyes, making them burn instantly making me shut my eyes tightly. I drop the sign as my hands fly to my eyes to try and rub them to somehow stop the burning. “Y/N!” Max yells as I feel her arms on mine pulling them away from my eyes and guiding me somewhere. “Don’t touch it!” She scolds me as my hand went up to my eyes as soon as she let go of me. “Here.” She says as I hear the tap running before a wet paper towel makes contact with my eyes. “It burns!” I yell grabbing her hands and pulling them away from my eyes as the familiar sting I felt a few seconds ago returns. “Just a few seconds.” She says as she takes her hand out mine and puts them back to my eyes and cleans them.
“Try opening them now.” She says as I feel the towel leave my face and I attempt to open my eyes. The sting still being there allows me to squint but not fully open my eyes. I notice Max forcing a smile as she looks at me. “Feeling better?” She asks as I struggle to keep my eyes open. “A bit.” I reply back before she puts the paper towels in the bin. “Try washing them a bit more.” She says before turning the tap on again. I stare at the running tap for a few seconds before I begin running my hands under the tap and splashing the water onto my eyes. And rubbing them to get the all the spray out of it. Once I finish I turn the tap off and stand back up to Max holding a towel out towards me. “Thanks.” I say as I take it off her and pat my face dry. As I pull it down I hear Max scolding Dustin about having the spray in his bedroom and not in his bag because the real danger isn’t in his house.
“But Suzie said it’d be better to have it at home.” Dustin says as he backs away from Max as she takes a step forward to him. “Who the hell is Suzie?” Max asks confused stopping in her tracks before turning to me to see if I knew what he was talking about. I just shrug my shoulders but the same curiosity and confusion that appeared on Max’s face was also on mine. “She’s my girlfriend.” Dustin says proudly as he smirks at us. “Your girlfriend?” I ask slowly to make sure I was hearing right. “My girlfriend.” He says again, confirming his previous words. “Does she know that?” Max asks making me struggle to contain my laugh and high 5 Max. I hear a scoff as I high 5 Max and I notice Dustin glaring at me. “Sorry, sorry.” I apologise still laughing. “So you met a girl at the science camp?” I ask as he nods before speaking up “And she does know that we’re dating for your information, in fact, I’m planning on calling her right now.” He says grabbing the cerebro and walking past us with it making Max and I look at each other confused before following him out.
“Hey guys!” Mike calls out from behind us making us look back at him and Eleven. “This is fun and all but uh.” Mike says tapping his watch before eleven says she has to go home. “But we’re almost there.” Dustin says pointing to the top of the hill. “Sorry man. Curfew.” He says before holding El’s hand and walking down the hill together. “Curfew at 4?” Dustin scoffs as he looks down at his watch. “They’re lying.” Lucas says as we watch them go downhill. “It’s been like this all summer.” Will groans before Max speaks up. “It’s romantic.” “It’s gross.” I say correcting Max which causes her to turn to me. “Gross?” She asks making me nod. “Come on dude, if you did that with someone I would literally get Dustin’s can and spray myself in the eyes before dunking my face into a tub of bleach.” I say making her and raise an eyebrow. “You don’t wanna spend time with the one you love?” She asks making me raise an eyebrow now. “It’s not love if you’re eating each others face off.” I say making Will laugh. “I agree.” He says putting his hand up to his mouth in an attempt to hide his laughter. “It’s a way to show affection.” She says rolling her eyes at me before continuing to walk up the hill. “There are other ways to show affection.” I say walking up and she stops to wait for me. “You’re telling me you’re never gonna kiss someone?” She asks as I stand beside her. “I will but I can show my love for them in other ways I don’t need to just kiss them and tell them I love them to show it.” I say as smirking at her and she shakes her head as we continue to walk up.
“Made it!” Dustin says as looks at the view. “Yeah, only took 5 hours.” Max groans as she drops the bag in her hand and me following straight after. I watch as Lucas grabs the bottle and begins to chug it and I snatch it off him before he finishes it. I look into it and it’s almost finished and I glare back at Lucas and he sends me an apologetic shrug. “Max, you want the rest?” I ask offering it to her. “Ah, is this you showing your love for me?” She asks smirking as she thanks me and takes it off me. “Of course Maxine.” I say wiping the smirk off her face and she glared at me making me laugh. “What?” I ask acting oblivious. “Don’t say that again.” She says glaring at me. “Say what Maxine?” I say once more and she stares at me before giving me a small smile. “Just wait.” She says before turning around and walking away.

??? - Part 1
Max Mayfield x Reader
“Where’s Lucas?” I ask Dustin as I look around for him. “He’s getting Max.” He grumbles before reaching into his bucket and aggressively throwing the beef on the floor. “Max?” I ask confused as I stop in my tracks. “Why is Lucas bringing her here. That makes no sense.” I say to Dustin before mumbling the second sentence as I wonder why he would do that. “Does he not like her or something? Because I was getting the feeling that he did.” I say as Dustin turns and faces me. “He really likes her.” He says before continuing to walk. “Is he trying to put her in danger?” I ask Dustin before reaching into my own bucket and throwing the beef onto the side of the tracks. “You think I know?” Dustin asks turning back to look at me furrowing his eyebrows at me before shaking his head and continuing walking. “Well I don’t think Lucas should bring her because she obviously hates me.” I say to Dustin making him stop and turn around. “What makes you think that?” He asks making me think back to the first interaction we had.
“Do it!” Dustin whisper yells at me before nodding his head in the redheads direction. I shake my head No and he glares at me. “Why not!” He whispers to me. “Why would I do that. She obviously doesn’t wanna talk to anyone.” I say back to him and he sighs. “Please?” He asks begging as he looks at the girl beside me. I sigh and groan making him silently cheer as I turn around to face the redhead beside me. “Hi” I whisper to the girl and she looks me up and down. “Hi.” She says looking at me before looking back at the teacher. “My names Y/N.” I say and I see her roll her eyes before turning back to me. “And I don’t care.” She says her eyes widening to make me get the hint that she doesn’t want to talk, as if her tone wasn’t enough. “The guy next to me is Dustin.” I say making her sigh and force a fake smile before turning to me yet again. “I still don’t care.” She says before folding her arms and laying back in her chair and staring at the teacher. I turn to Dustin who is wincing from my interaction with her. “She doesn’t care.” I say repeating her words to him.
“Y/N?” Dustin asks pulling me out of my trance. “Do you seriously not remember the conversation I had with her in class.” I say as his eyes widen and cringes at the thought of it. “Yeah I do.” He says before getting interrupted by Steve. “Come on you two. Times running up and we gotta make it to the top quickly.” Steve says sighing as he stops up climbing the hill to look back at us.
Once we reach the top and we’re like 75% done Dustin and I stop and sit on a broken fridge which also happens to be the exact same time that Lucas and Max arrive. Lucas makes his way over to Steve and begins talking to him before Max and him begin throwing the beef across the junk yard. I watch them for a few seconds and they don’t seem to even notice our presence as they talk to each other and do the task they were given. I look back at Dustin and he can’t take his eyes off them as he looks at them with his eyebrows knit together and his lips drawn together tightly as he frowns. “Dustin.” I say as I put a hand on his shoulder pulling him out of the trance. “Get her off your mind. Theres someone out there waiting for you.” I say to him as he takes his eyes off them and looks at me. “I know, but there’s just something about her.” He says as he looks back at her. I follow his eyes and we sit in silence for a few seconds before I stand up which makes him furrow his eyebrows and look up at me. “Come on.” I say as I offer a hand to him and pull him up before walking towards the edge of the hill and leading him up the pile of junk before standing at the top.
The view being all of hawkins, since it was dinner time most house lights were on giving a beautiful view from the sunset sky. “Look how many lights there are.” I say as I make sure he’s looking at hawkins and not Max. “You seriously think the girl behind us is the one for you? This is just hawkins. Who knows, maybe the one for you doesn’t even live here. You might even meet someone at the camp your going to. At least then she’ll share your interests.” I say as he laughs at my last sentence. “Yeah, maybe.” He says smiling at me before once again looking at the redhead behind us. “Dude, come on. She’s not worth the time.” I say pulling his attention away from her and showing him all of hawkins once again. “Trust me, if she doesn’t like you already she never will. You’re too good for her.” I say as I give him a soft smile as he looks down at his feet. “But hey, maybe you do have a chance because you haven’t pulled out your secret weapon, have you?” I ask making him tilt his head slightly. “Your pearls. Who can resist those pearls?” I ask smiling as I watch him roll his eyes at me before shaking his head with laughter as he shoves me lightly. “No one can.” He replies back.
As we walk into the bus the sky is now a navy colour. They all take a seat somewhere in the bus but I grab the binoculars and decide to climb up and be on lookout first. As I lay down on the roof I look around at ground covered by fog and it’s dead silent. But then I hear a voice come from below. “Why are you even here if you don’t believe us? Just go home!” Dustin yells before I hear some shuffling and someone climbing up the ladder. Assuming it’s Dustin I just make a move to lay on my back and look at the stars. “It’s awesome isn’t it?” A feminine voice coming from beside me says making me jump and my eyes widen as I notice who’s actually beside me. “The fog I mean.” She says staring out to the floor and not noticing my shocked expression. “Oh, uh yeah.” I say clearing my throat as I regain composure. “Kinda looks like the ocean.” She says before turning her head towards me since I don’t reply straight away.
“Do you miss it?” I ask making her furrow her eyebrows at my question. “What?” She asks slightly tilting her head. “California. Cause like, it must be so much better than Hawkins, especially for someone like you yknow? Like there isn’t really anywhere to skate in Hawkins but I’m sure there was like a thousand there. So it must be pretty boring here.” I say elaborating and her eyebrows stay furrowed as she thinks about her response. “No no no, it’s not that. It’s just, my dads still there so.” She says pausing as she looks down at the fog. I instantly regret my question as I understand what she’s saying. “Oh, I’m sorry.” I say which makes her look at me. “Well it’s not your fault.” She says forcing a smile as she looks back at the fog yet again.
“My mum and my stepdad wanted a fresh start. Away from him, as if he was the problem. Which is total bull. And things, are just worse now. My step brothers always been a duck but now he’s just angry, all the time. Well he can’t it out on my mum so…” She says cutting off as she avoids eye contact. “I don’t even know why I’m telling you this. It’s just I know I can be a jerk like him sometimes and I do not want to be like him. Ever. I guess I’m angry too and I’m sorry.” She says finally looking at me. “Jesus! What’s wrong with me.” She says as she rubs the tears forming in her eyes. “Hey. You’re nothing like him. You don’t almost run people over so that’s a step to being less like him.” I say making her laugh. “I said I was sorry!” She says putting her face in her hands as she shakes her head. “Not to me you didn’t.” I say smiling as she pull her head out her hands. “I’m sorry my brother almost ran you over.” She says apologising making me smile. “You are not forgiven.” I say as I watch her mouth slightly part before scoffing. “You just made me apologise to deny my apology?” She asks in disbelief. “Yes I did.” “Wow, okay I see how it is.” She says scoffing once again before we both begin laughing. But then a loud growl makes us both shut up and look around for the source.
“Y/N!” Dustin calls out to me as I quickly put the binoculars to my eyes and look around. “10 O Clock!” I yell as I notice it behind a pile of junk. “Wait, are you sure that’s not a dog?” Max asks as she takes the binoculars off me and looks into them. “What?” I ask before there’s more noise. “Why aren’t they taking the bait?” I mumble as I look around. I quickly move down the ladder and shove the binoculars into Lucas chest before picking up Steve’s bat and going outside before they can stop me.
“Be ready!” I call out to them as I walk slowly holding the bat as I prepare for a swing. “Dinner time.” I say as I swing the bat around. “Y/N! 3 O Clock!” Dustin yells to me making me turn and see the creature. “You sure it’s a dog Maxine?” I call out to her but eyes not moving from the animal as it slowly walks towards me. “You got another one behind you!” Lucas calls out making me quickly glance back but as I turn the one I front of me pounces at me making me take a swing at it before quickly turning around to other one and hitting it. “Y/N! There’s too many! Abort! Abort!” Dustin voice calls out to me as I look towards the bus. “Coming!” I yell as I hit it again and take off towards the bus.
Just as I’m about to get into the bus one of them grabs a hold of my leg. I go to grab the bat but Steve gets a hold of it before me and yells as he hits it off my leg before he pulls me into the bus, Dustin shutting the door straight after. “Are you okay?” Dustin asks as I take a seat on the bus seat. “Yeah yeah I’m good, just need to catch my breath.” I say as I watch Lucas and Max climb down from the ladder, Max rushing towards me. “Y/N! Are you okay? Are you hurt?” She asks as she looks me up and down before her eyes widen as she stares at my leg making me lean forward to see what she’s staring at. “Oh, shit.” I say as I notice my pants now stained red and ripped from the bite it took into my calf. The adrenaline and shock not making me notice the pain. But after noticing it wince and all the pain rushes to me. “Shit!” I say closing my eyes all the others walk closer to me.
“Y/N I’m just gonna take a peak, okay?” Steve says as he hold the hem of my pants. “Mhm” I let our a strangled muffled nod and he quickly rips it off. I turn over groaning into the chair as I hear shuffling behind me and then a tearing noise. “Y/N.” Max’s voice calls out to me making me look at her. “This is gonna hurt.” Steve says as he hold the cloth around my leg making me eyes widen. “No! No! No!” I yell as I reach for my leg and Max moves in the way pushing me back. “He need to do this.” She says as my eyes stay widened. She looks around before looking down at my clothes and walking over before ripping it and handing it to me. “Just bite that yeah?” She says before nodding at Steve. “I’m sorry Y/N.” She says as she nods Dustin and Lucas over and they grab my shoulder and push me down as Steve begins to lean closer to my leg and gives me an apologetic smile as my eyes widen once more and begin crying out into cloth Dustin had now put in my mouth.
My eyes red and puffy as I sit up with my arms folded. I see them watching me and I glare at all of them. Max and Steve wince at my glare while Lucas avoids eye constant and Dustin mouths a sorry towards me. I look away and rub my eye before making a move to climb and Max eyes widen as she looks at me stand up. “Let me help.” She says as she rushes over to me. “I’m fine.” I say as I take a few steps at the ladder and bite my lip as I try to hide the pain from appearing on my face.
A/N: Hey guys :)
Also I haven’t decided what I’m calling it that’s why it’s literally 3 question marks and also cause I just began writing some random shit. So I’ll make it pretty later.

All Too Well - Part 2
Sadie Sink x Reader

Part 1
A/N: I know it’s really short guys and I didn’t tag anyone cause this is so short and don’t ask me what this is, I literally have no clue what I’m doing. 😭
I walk onto set looking around and that’s when I see Taylor and she smiles at me before waving me over. “Y/N! How are you? Did you sleep well?” She asks me cheerfully, too energetic for 10am filming. “I’m good. How are you?” I ask back rubbing my eye a bit to make me look more alive. “Sadie’s by that table with Shawn if you wanted to go talk to them.” She says before someone rushes to her and pulls her away from me. I look over at the table she pointed at and walked to it. Both Sadie and Shawn noticing me and smiling as they tell me good morning, Shawn mentioning how I look like a zombie. “Good morning to you too.” I say giving him a fake smile to which they both laugh at. “What time will we finish?” I ask Shawn to which causes him to scoff. “We just got here and you want to leave now?” Sadie asks giggling. “Well I’ll go help with the set. You two should get to makeup so we can finish earlier for Princess Y/N over here.” He says making me raise my eyebrows and flip him off as I begin walking to the trailer set for makeup.
I take a seat on the chair and a lady with short red hair walks over to me. “Hi how are you?” I ask as her as I watch her walk around the trailer mumbling something about makeup brushes. “I’m good, how are you?” She says stopping to look at me and give me a smile before continuing her search. I smile as I watch her look around before I notice a pack of them hiding under a bag. “I think I found them.” I say leaning down to grab them and hold them up. “Thank you!” She says as her eyes light up as she looks at the bag in my hand. I smile as I’m about to hand them to her but the door clicking takes our attention on the door and Sadie smiles shyly as she takes a seat in the chair beside mine. “Good morning.” I say smiling more brighter than before. “You look more awake.” She says smiling as I shake my head before turning to the makeup artist so she can apply foundation onto me. “You look more annoying.” I say making her laugh before another makeup artist entered the room to apply makeup onto Sadie.
“So after you twirl her you pull her in, okay?” Shawn asks before a squeal grabs our attention. It’s Jacey, she slaps a hand over her mouth when she realised what she did. I turn to Sadie to see her smile widen as she grins mischievously at me before walking towards her younger sister, giving her hug before walking back over. “Let’s do this.” Sadie says pulling my hand towards the set. “Oh you’re cruel.” I say laughing as the crew and staff move to their places and music begins playing in the back. I grab Sadie’s hand and we smile and laugh, I dip her before she attempts to make me twirl. I repeat the twirl on her and we laugh before she looks at me as my laughter dies. I smile before she leans forward and kisses me. My hand moves to hold her jaw while the other rests on her waist. I smile into the kiss and lean forward as she tries to move away, trying to hold the kiss for a little longer. As we pull away our heads lean on each others as we laugh before Taylor yells cut. “That was perfect!” Taylor says as she walks over before quickly directing us to a car, not giving us a chance to find Sadie’s younger sibling.
Once the car stops and we arrive in the woods, I get out the car and hold it open while offering a hand to Sadie to grab and help herself out. She takes it and thanks me before some crew members hand us a script and quickly direct us to follow a path on the ground. We follow through until we see cameras set up and both Shawn and Taylor were talking. “Thought you might’ve died.” Shawn says smiling as him and Taylor walk over to us. “You guys ready for the scene.” Taylor asks looking at the both of us. “Let’s do this.” I say smiling as I look at Sadie before wrapping one of my arms over both her shoulders and guide us to the spot with X on the ground.
“Time for a piggyback.” I say squatting as she grabs on my shoulders and jumps up. I hold her thighs and spin around making her squeal and hold me tighter before I slow down and stop. She laughs as she rests her head on top of mine. “Should I jump too?” I ask making her hold me even tighter as she prepares for me to jump but I don’t. “Got you.” I say laughing and I feel her shaking her head and her grip on me loosening as she laughs. “What if I run?” I ask aloud before sprinting and giving her no chance to reply, making her squeal as she holds onto me tight. “You good there?” I ask as I slowly walk back to our previous position on the X, her still on my back. “Wow, now you wanna ask?” She says making me laugh and nod. “Yeah of course. I gotta put you through everything and then ask how you are.” I say with a smile as I hear her let out a small laugh from above me.
A/N: Hey guys, I’m alive 🥳

California Love - Part 4

Part 3
“So are you ready?” El asks me as I nod quickly as I try to swallow my nerves. “Yup.” I say in response and my eyes scan the room, looking at their faces. Dustin stands in between Steve and Robin and both Dustin and Robin give me a smile, Robin giving me a thumbs up to reassure me but I don’t feel convinced as I see the anxiety in her eyes. El moves in front of me to block my line of vision with them. I look up at her and she takes off the bracelet that was on her wrist. “Close your eyes and think of her.” She says as she hands me the bracelet. I not and take it before closing my eyes.
I open them and I’m in a hall. A disco above me and a sign hanging from the roof that reads snowball. My eyes widen as I remember the snowball dance. “Max?” I call out as I spin around looking for her. “Max?” I say once more as I walk around, looking behind tables before walking to the door that leads to the exit of the room. I open it and there’s a junkyard, it’s dark because the sun setting but there’s a bus and a bunch of other old things. I walk onto the bus. “Max?” I call out once more and a head pops up from the behind a seat. “Y/N?” She asks confused as she looks at me before a smile takes over and she runs to me, engulfing me in a hug. “You’re here? I didn’t think you’d come back.” She says as she pulls away from the hug smiling widely as she looks relieved. But then her morphs into confusion as she looks up before she raises an eyebrow and scoffs. “What?” She asks in disbelief while I just raise an eyebrow as I watch her have a conversation with nobody.
Max’s POV
“I didn’t think you’d come back.” I say unable to contain my smile as I feel relieved knowing she came back for me. I go to say something else but a familiar voice says my name. “Max.” El’s voice echos and I look up to find the source of the voice. “That’s not Y/N.” Eleven says making me raise an eyebrow. “What?” I ask before her voice speaks out to me again. “Y/N is the only one that can help you and she wasn’t going to help…” She says making my face confused once again as I look at Y/N, who’s clearly standing in front of me. But then it clicks and my eyes widen as I look up and look around to try and understand where the voice is coming from. “What did you do.” I say as eleven now appears in front of me, her voice no longer echoing. Our surrounding changing, from being in the junkyard to black nothingness. “I did what I had to do. We need to get you out, and Y/N is the only one who can do that.” She says making me shake my head.
“That wasn’t the question. What did you do?” I say repeating myself slight frustration in my voice from not knowing what happened to Y/N. “We replaced he memories.” She says making my eyes widen. “What!?” I yell at her in disbelief. “We had to Max. She wasn’t going to help. So we replaced her memories so now she believes we’re her friends.” She says making me look around before I’m unable to say anything. I attempted to open my mouth to say something but nothing comes out. I try to find the words to say but so many thoughts and question and emotions race through my head that it makes it hard to focus and think. “You can’t do things like that Eleven.” I say as pinch the bridge of my nose to help me think. “I did this for you.” She says taking a step towards me as I take one back. “What are we meant to do when she finds out. She’ll never forgive me.” I say as my heart races as I think of all the different ways she’ll react to this information, none positive. “Hey.” Elevens voice takes me out of my thoughts. “She won’t find out, okay?” She says as she steps forward grabbing my hands. I force a small smile before I’m pulled out of the void by Y/Ns voice.
Y/N POV
“Max? Hey, you good there? You were talking to the sky and then kinda disappeared, just like, staring into space.” I say as she blinks before looking at me. “Hmm? No, yeah, I’m fine.” She says pretty quickly as she stands up and walks out the bus. “Are you sure?” I ask as she stops and looks back at me. “I’m fine.” She says, slight anger in her voice as begins walking. “Where are we going?” I ask making her stop and sigh. “I… I need to clear my head… Gather my thoughts.” She says looking down before she continues walking. “Hey, no, wait up!” I yell as I jog to her and grab her hand making her face me. “I can’t leave you alone. It’s dangerous.” I say to her as she looks up at me. “Well you being here is also dangerous.” She says looking down making me drop her hand instantly, making me think I over stepped my boundaries. “Sorry.” I say as she looks back up at me. “It’s fine.” She mumbles before walking away again. “Wait Max, you can’t go by yourself, I’m not leaving you alone.” I say as I follow her as she walks into the forest, leaves crunching beneath our feet. “Why?” She asks as she continues her path through the bushes, pushing trees out of her face to keep going. “Because I care about you Max.” I say as she stops and and turns to me. I look into her eyes, there’s sadness in them as she opens her mouth to say something but instead closes it and shakes her head and walking. I follow her until we reach some sort of grave, I decide to hang back as she goes and takes a seat in front of it.
