The moon was working in my favor last night for some of the most amazing show of aurora I’ve ever seen. The lights lasted all night from 10p until sunrise with the crescendo at around 2am. Yesterday my dad reminded me of a print we had hanging above the entry to our kitchen growing up. He wanted to eventually have my aunt to paint a mural of it on the wall. I had completely forgotten it had existed as the years went on and the print came down. He told me yesterday that his dream has always been to see this mountain and the print had been of Denali. It’s funny I ended up living in the shadow of the mountain that hung on our walls all those years, even if I didn’t know it.
