"What? What other e-bikes? Am I not an old grandfather of fourteen hundred years old to ride with a motor! I am in good physical shape and will ride a normal bike like a normal man! ” This is how I thought at the beginning of 2018. What did you expect from someone who has been cycling since 1977? I mean myself. 

Throughout life, stereotypes fill my head and the understanding that the world has changed, over the years, alas, begins to lag behind. But e-bike sales are growing 100% a year, with no signs of slowing down. It was hard not to realize. The first thing I did after realizing it was asking myself - why are people so actively buying e-bikes? Of course, it's nice when a motor helps you ride, but this fact alone cannot explain the trend, since electric scooters also have a motor and you don't even need to pedal (I want to explain to those who are not yet in the subject that, unlike a scooter, an electric bike does not buttons that you can press and go, the engine only helps to pedal). 

Naturally, I rummaged in Google in search of answers, but I was not satisfied with the result, so the only way to the truth remained - to try it for myself. October, the holiday time for the bike traders, was just a lucky hit, and I rode around France with the Orbea Keram 30 e-bike.

Personal experience is still an important thing, after a thousand kilometers I received answers to all my questions.

 So what is so good about a fat tire e-bike? How is it better than a regular bike and scooter? I present them point by point in free style form...
