I like the idea of the master secretly caring about always being shorter than the doctor because like, it leads to great comedic potential tbh.

I mean, the first non essential thing Dhawan!Master does after regenerating is to find a tape measure to see how tall he is and he realises he’s only like 5′7 he sulks for an hour because the likelihood he’ll be taller than the doctor is Really slim. 

And then he meets an older regeneration? Who will definitely be taller than him and he says he doesn’t let it bother him but like, it Does. But it’s necessary for his plan, so he sucks it up. 

And suddenly throughout the texting he’s got going on with the doctor and has for Ages, he gets this selfie of this blonde lady with a huge pile of emojis that make No Sense (she’s to trying to make sense, she just liked the pictures) and he is ECSTATIC because… This is the doctor his plan is gonna happen with, this is His version, and he might?? be taller??? than her??? 

of/c the selfie she sent him was of her face with No scale on it to speak of so he can’t guess her height from it at all, and he can’t ask her her height b/c that’d be Weird and the plan’s not ready yet, so he keeps asking for more selfies next to like, famous landmarks she’s been to so he can look up the height of the landmark and work out her exact height from the scale but she only sends him ones of her next to this Amazing Huge Ant Hill she found on the planet platypus 48,  or a selfie she took with the solitract frog and it is slowly driving him around the bend. 

he keeps this up for Ages and by the time she shows up in spyfall he has an entire library of weird pics she’s sent him and they’re so close in height he actually like, cannot tell who is taller without somebody Else telling him or standing in front of a mirror right next to her or something and it’s not like he can ask for That either and he’s just. 

Done.

Thinking about how Doctor Who took the comforting sentiment that is "you are not alone" and turned it into a threat.

I love trying to parse together anything about the Doctor's Academy years. He was a "terror" for 120 years. He regenerated one teacher and nearly regenerated a second one. He had no friends until school. he put a teacher in a time loop. He made a bacteria that put multi cellular lifeforms into a coma. He was in a band. It took him two tries to graduate with the bare minimum grade. No one can agree how long he went to school for or if he even graduated. He has a doctorate in cheese making. His friends kept trying to get him to join a rebellion and the government kept erasing his memory about it. The doctor is recorded to have attended a gallifreyan university that doesn't exist.

Like, what is this? I love this. Everything and nothing is canon and the world is a beautiful place.
