Reposting this because it goes along with my upcoming move. I have been absent a bit from both my YT channel and IG because I am preparing for my move to Japan 🇯🇵 in June. Excited about the opportunity and looking forward to finally finishing my personal Mt. Fuji piece I have been working on for awhile. Two years 😞😞 (I am so ashamed) but it took the backseat to all the other projects I had. I think it is fitting that I get to finish this piece so close to this majestic mountain (3 hours from where I will be). I will continue creating artwork once I get to my new home and setup my studio. I think 🤔 I will be inspired to create some interesting artworks due to the different scenery and culture. I plan to share some of the sites with you from my travels while I am there. Thanks to all those who have been following and welcome any new followers. The support from the IG community is great! I just completed this repair of a 30 year old piece of artwork for a local client. They had two of these that they requested me to repair. The foil had begun to peel back from the glass on both of them and the wire anchors in the back of this one peeled out of the solder bead and broke. I forgot to take pictures of the before but thought I would share with you. I pulled everything apart and reassembled it and ran new wire hangers along the vertical beads to the left and right of the clear plated glass artwork. I think it turned out good and will easily last a lifetime.
