⋆ Glimmerbrook World Edit ⋆

The third world edit that has been in the works since last autumn/winter. It’s quite a dark world and was rather intended for an “alien” setting. It’s probably not everyone’s cup of tea, but decided to share it anyway. Hope some can put it to use :)

In this world I did a lot of TOOL object placements, so not all the objects that you see in the screenshots will appear in the world download. However, you can download the argon objects and the other props on my blog to place them in it yourself as well. The world is rather empty so it gives room to decorate it to your desire ^.^

Reshade is applied to these screenshots. The colour theme however may vary a lot between blue and green hues. At some periods of the day there will be orange(warm) lighting as well. With the lighting binaries added it will remain a bit more in the blue-green colour space~

Some props I have removed from the Newcrest Empy World edit, I had to alter it in order to remove conflicts with some props that I edited that also appear in Newcrest. You can’t use both but if you want to keep the original Newcrest files then that’s totally up to you~

There are 2 packages included, one merged package and one with all the packages separated. Choose only one to go into your download folder!

And lastly, keep in mind that these are replacements of objects that are placed in these worlds, which means it can also alter these objects if these are placed in other neighborhoods.

⋆ RoM World Edit ⋆

A second world edit that has been in the works since last autumn/winter. It was a bit uncertain whether I’d end up sharing this one as there were some black texture glitches here and there, but I figured since the world is rather dark it’s fortunately not very noticeable. Lastly, I’m happy to share it with you :)

The shop buildings have been replaced by rocks, however the retail npcs (the ghost workers) can still walk through them from time to time. To me it wasn’t much of an issue as I just “destroy” every npc sim that walks around xD But it can be annoying to see those npcs pop up from time to time.

Reshade is applied to these screenshots, though even without reshade the world just looks dark and purple~

AHS Glass Coffin

Are you tired of the classic solid, and fully opaque coffins that came with the Vampires Game pack?, Well.. me too. So I decided to create this new one, based on the popular show “American Horror Story”. 

It was originally proposed by @forgottenhollow-secretgarden​   at his patreon. I definitely loved it and wanted in my game, so here we go! It’s also meant to be a gift of appreciation for all his wonderful tutorials about tuning for Sims 4, if you haven’t seen those yet, and want to try modding for the game, definitely check them out! I hope you all like it!

K-505 TERRAIN MOD - UPDATES

As usual, with a new addition to the Sims, we had the opportunity to update more files across the different worlds.

Roads, grass, rocks, sands, etc. Willow Creek, Oasis Spring and Windenburg were updated. Along with all the other worlds.

We corrected an upside-down street in Willow Creek … removed some duplicates which aren’t needed anymore and added the missing ones. In Windenburg you might notice how the bridge is slightly different. The ruins got an overhaul too. And as always, the grass in which you lay after a concert.  If you take a walk in Forgotten Hollow, you’ll see an updated world. Same thing if you take your dog for a walk on the beach of Brindleton Bay or Del Sol Valley streets, it will all look a bit differently.

All changes are subtle, but they are there and were needed. The K505 is a work-in-progress, we keep learning, so we keep upgrading our game  😉

Adding files mean we took a hard look at packages. We remove unnecessary files and unwanted duplicates. We want them to run smoothly. This is a broad update, one that push the mods further toward greatness. We are pleased with the mod. It is really coming along as we learn more how all of this work. It means we’ll soon be able to tackle Jungle Adventures and City Living … and more part of the game to texturized … 🕵️‍♂️

Concerning duplicates: we keep removing as much as we can, but we do have to leave some of them. The reason is quite simple really. All textures are not specific to each EP/GP. Some of them are included in the basegame and in the EP/GP, just in case they are needed by the player who could not have the needed EP/GP. It could be done differently, alas it is not the case. Don’t panic if you see duplicates, the game won’t crash or bug or lag.

I really want to thank you for the creature tattoo CC you made. Definitely plan on using it and adding sea monsters to my magical community. But I was wondering, are you planning on making any versions of it with different color schemes?

K 505 TERRAINS MOD - BASE GAME UPDATE

We said it, here it is: only two files are updated and are timestamped in the name. Look for the 02022020 files in the zip if you already have the K 202 Terrains Mod 😇 If not, download all, install all. Everybody have fun!

For the tech crowd: Maxis is now using files from all packs instead of creating new ones. We used to only check if everything was fine and make changes in the latest packages. Now we’ll have to hunt and track down interactions between files/packages. More updates are to come.

K 505 TERRAINS MOD - UNIVERSITY UPDATE

Welcome welcome to … University!

We prefer Oxbridge to Britechester but that’s fine 🤓

Oxbridge is a small town full of old stone: on the ground, in the cobblestones, bridging the shores and in the century-old buildings.

As a pedestrian town, lying in the grass to study or contemplate the void of your future is an important activity, deserving the best comfortable grass available. Our gardeners have secrets of the trade that won’t be share here - sorry! 😏

Instead, let’s talk technical.

The 3 files of University don’t include nature, as per usual. That’s because Maxis hadn’t made new grass files but use the ones from, what we suspect, Base Game, City Living and Seasons. Which explain why without the update you could still use University without many differences.

Ok, so when you’ll add the University files you’ll get our textures on everything stones. The « wally » file has nothing to do with the famous grampus. It’s the file for all the building facade and more ( chimney … everything building-related )

We’ve always strived to beautify even more each world and Oxbridge allowed it since the grass was already made and looking thru the files gave us the opportunity to get the buildings files. We are happy with the results so far, hope you will too 😌

You might see some places in Foxbury that still have original files. That’s because we have yet to find those. Like said before, they are certainly in the larger packages: base game, city living and seasons.

We’ll make an update as soon as we find them, expect it in the coming weeks.

I do not want these type of youtubers using my CC

Over the last few months I have noticed this particular youtuber using my cc for her content in her sims4  machinima & letsplays videos. The type of content theyre making makes is fat shaming , fatphobic, and I do not condone the usage of my cc for any of this. It’s funny how people like this think you won’t find out.  So i’ll try to say this as calmly as possible..

It’s annoying and disgusting, and on top of all of that she doesn’t even redirect anyone of her subscribers to my website nor blog to download my cc..as if she is ashamed of using it or just to prove my point of this person exploiting fat people and people who prefer body agumentations in their sims.

my sims I create for are plus sized, large, fat,. curvy and bigger than most average players play with. these mods are for people who want the same things as to my liking. my aesthetic is not for everyone but i also have in my TOU that my content is for 18+ and that covers for people who prefer a more curvy look to their sims and fetishes and admiration of larger people. I am also aware i cannot control how others use my cc, I can control the influence it has. thats why my presets go to a larger scaled size far as augmentations and bodies. because these people exist in real life like i do. and I view this in an artistic over-proportioned yet aesthetically pleasing way. but my cc, it is NOT CREATED FOR FAT SHAMING FAT-PHOBIA NOR ANYTHING RELATED TO ANOREXIA OR BLUEMIA. IT IS NOT FOR PEOPLE TO MAKE JOKES AND MOCKERY OF POC BODIES IN YOUR VIDEOS AND POSTS. SO for your to make content like that with my cc for a younger audience bothers me, and it should bother you too. I do not want any of these kind of youtubers using my content in their videos for these reasons..if not at all. my original idea for body preset was for bodies that have extra curves and things alot of people want to see far as body-inclusiveness and this is not the light i want this in.

In their videos they speak on a character who has a “phobia of exercise” what kind of bullshit is that? I find it ironic that there is always people who have never experienced being over-weight, and doesn’t even know that weight is determined by height or what these people call “obese” ARE ALWAYS speaking on these things. you cannot relate or know what could be their reason for obesity. these  people are always telling fat people to lose weight or having a problem with them existing. these people are the same ones telling skinny people to EAT MORE. your ignorance clearly have 0 idea of that concept. not all obese people sit around crying about eating food all day and why they cant lose the weight. It is  skinny-privilege for them to make content and stories about weight loss issues and eating disorders when they have 0 experience and no understanding to any of those concepts. its even more sad that these videos have MILLIONS of views. non which have credited my mods. use your underhanded fat-hating bullshit elsewhere it is not wanted here.

and on top of that , they’re a  joke in general. Ive gotten Tea about this youtuber being in tons of other drama in past years related to other discrimating content. Im curious as ot what kind of self-hating auidence is wanting to see big sims exploited like this to the point of making it a whole serious that got millions of views? thats the real question..out of all the millions of haters this is a safe place for people to enjoy their oversized and exaggerated sims without discrimination

Another issue is that I am not as active in simblr community as many other body preset creators are. Yet, i find it funny that my demographic audience that does interact with me doesn’t do things like this but somehow simblr community sees my content as invisible, yet the same type of content is on youtube for 1000s of viewers with 1000s of views without any credit to me or my cc. these youtubers will rather credit body presets of people they see as “normal enough to share to others” than mine. so you mean to tell me that your only reason for using my content is to make shameless stupid videos for your triggering content but you cant be bothered to acknowledge the creator simply because ? it doesnt fit your daily style? you’re embarrassed to say where you got it? quick tip, don’t use my cc if you can’t credit me in your videos but will credit others who make the exact same things as i do. period. 

I always notice youtubers do not mention “certain types” creators when they will mention everyone elses especially if its more teen+ NSFW OR POC related and i see you. They will quickly say “tumblr” or “lanaccfinds” which is a LIE most of the best cc is on the creator’s blog / sites.

I am bothered by the mockey and jokes that have been made in these videos of plus sized + curvy sims. plenty of people from their channels have come to my blog asking questions making statements about it and I don’t post about it because I dont want my blog clogged up with negativity from their ignorant following. it proves my point of why i remain to say my cc is 18+ teen to mature.I prefer if people who message me and inbox me with asks about these youtubers to refrain from associating them with me and youtubers stop using my cc in your videos for stupid skits. Yokozii is body-positive body-inclusive always.

So, this is another one of my little attempts at making the game more visually enjoyable.

To emulate believable reflections without setting fire to everyone’s computer, what most games do is use cubemaps. Simply put, they’re images layered underneath everything that move depending on the camera position. Parallax and all that stuff.

What developers usually do for sandbox/open-world games is automatically generate cubemaps so that it actually looks like objects are reflecting the world around them. For whatever reason (probably performance), TS4 doesn’t do that. The developers use premade images with white squares that vaguely resemble windows and stuff, cause most of the time when you’re indoors that’s where light comes from.

Now, that doesn’t always work. And with that I mean it almost never works. When it’s completely dark, for example, the cubemaps get completely blown out, and instead of a nice reflection you get a weird alien glow on your kitchen tiles. You also just get random reflections that don’t really come from anywhere, and that can be a little immersion breaking. I personally hate it. 

So I replaced all cubemaps in the game with empty, black textures. That way, they become transparent and don’t ever show up at all. To me, that looks way better, the game looks more natural and things look less plastic-y. It’s my personal preference, and I’m posting this here in hopes that maybe someone else likes this look as well :)

All pictures in the post are taken with both my ITTL and OOTD mods! Highly recommend you to use both of those as well.
