I’ve been taking a break from art at the moment (excluding commissions) to focus on learning coding and developing my website (along with making tools for other artists to make their own websites), so I don’t think there will be any visual art tutorials any time soon. Though honestly, how I place things on a sketch page is pretty simple:

I draw the big sketches on the page that I’m most interested in / want more focus on

I draw little doodles, and random ideas that come up while drawing step one, in the gaps between the big sketches

That’s it! I personally am a big fan of sketch pages where they overlap and can look like an accidental sequence, I think the best example I ever did was for some ancient OCs back in the 2010’s:

Been busy over the holiday season (might've signed up for a few too many gift exchanges and holiday events) so not too much art, but I've been working on my website more in my free time and finally updated my code page! It's got free code you can use to add a blog, clickable images, and a new layout to your website.

The page is here: scribblemakes.com/code and I'm planning on making a full artist package that sets up a gallery for you, so it's easy to make a portfolio on a personal site.

I've been on a bit of a break from art for the past few months (mostly writing things for the book, learning how to code my own website, and code a game) but happy to announce I actually have things to show now! These are a bunch of sketches I did while trying to figure out how to do everyone's turnaround for the book.

Doing portraits for all the people helping proofread my book at the moment so here's the one I painted for @brainrotdotorg! They're all getting shown off right at the front but much smaller than this, so it's nice to show it a little bigger here. The EC design is Alex's!

I really love your Disconauts AU however, ever since I've gotten into it I've been haunted by the concept of Harry helping Kim out with learning some of his psychic powers and they're trying to learn/relearn clairvoyance using each other as practice and for a split second Kim catches the sight of the halo behind his own head from Harry's point of view.

I was very torn between him being scared of the devotion and pedestal-placement OR mr Respect Me I'm A Competitive Authority Figure liking it at least a little, so I went with the option that lets me make him blush a bit of course. Also a little bonus:

The sixth panel shows Kim using a psychic power on Harry, his appearance changing to show what Harry perceives him as. The only changes are that a Halo appears behind his head, he's in his usual plain-clothes work outfit, and he's smiling. The dialogue reads: Kim: "Khm. I'm not sure I'm doing it right." Harry: "Yeah?" Kim: "The only differences are that I'm smiling and wearing my jacket. I also have a hal-"

The seventh panel shows Kim dropping the clairvoyance and returning to his previous appearance. His glasses are completely white to hide his eyes and his ears are red. The dialogue reads: Kim: "I think that's enough for today." Harry: "Aw, okay."

The bonus panel shows the electrochemistry archetype looking up at Kim while he looks down at it with a curious expression. He then uses clairvoyance on it and looks surprised, but his appearance (as EC sees him) isn't shown.

The dynamic of "powerful but amnesiac Psychic detective" with Harry and "so used to dealing with Harry's wierd psychic shit as he's his partner in more ways than one" Kim is so good and fits really well within the psychonauts world, Can we get another doodle comic please?
