Best thing about Cobra kai is that it's the absolute worst & saddest version of Daniel and Johnny post karate kid franchise. Like a Johnny who never got over and has even regressed past his karate kid 1 development. A Daniel who has never gotten over the karate kid 3. And then they have gay sex about it. The nasty kind.

We have a conundrum. As it stands, we do not have enough people to hold the Cobra Kai Fanfiction Awards. If you would like us to hold them this year (for the fics written, posted, updated, or finished on AO3 for the calendar year of 2023), then we need your help.

This is strictly volunteer. But we need pollers and artists/moodboard makers.

If we can't generate enough interest or help, then the Fanfic Awards will be paused until after Season 6 airs for a presumably final event.

As someone who has been living with severe suicidal ideation my entire life I wanna tell you all something, you don’t have to stay alive for yourself. People will say it’s a bad idea to live for external things because they’re temporary, and it’s true living for yourself is ideal but if you’re not to that point yet that’s ok too. 

I’ve lived for my dog for the past 4 years, before that I lived for my snakes, before that I lived for my cat. You can live for whatever needs you and whatever matters to you. Live for your best friend, live for your plants, live for your pets, live for your animal crossing town. Live for whatever keeps you alive and the day will come when you can live for yourself.

i remember adults telling me, as a kid, that we needed to give to the poor. working at soup kitchens. making quilts. collecting food and money and supplies. building houses. because it was the christian and just plain right thing to do.

now they look at me, on food stamps with their grandchildren, and lament the "welfare state".

i remember adults telling me, as a kid, that it was easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven and that any rich man, especially an immoral one, should never run our country.

Instead of telling men to repress their emotions to appear stronger we should encourage them to sing incredibly dramatic ballads to process their emotions like in fictional movies. Maybe the world would heal faster. And also it would be very funny.
