don't weep for the parting of the stars;
they were gone long before you met them.

i'm conducting an experiment. everyone who's from an english speaking country state your country, regional area and what you call the following images. i need to see something
If a worker who isn't the owner says ANYTHING similar to "I'm not really supposed to do this but-" and then does something that helps you, under no circumstances inform the business, including through reviews. You tell them that the worker was polite, professional, the very model of customer service and why you like to go there. You do not breathe a word of the rulebreaking.
donât know what parent of an autistic child needs to hear this but as long as theyâre not harming anyone your kidâs stimming is not a âproblem behaviourâ
if you told vin diesel fast and the furious you were gay he'd be like "Some people like driving stickâŚsome people like driving automaticâŚwhat matters is you cross the finish line.." and then he'd rev up a dodge challenger and drive through a building and kill 16 people
It's so fucked up that digging a bunch of holes works so well at reversing desertification
I hate that so much discourse into fighting climate change is talking about bioenginerring a special kind of seaweed that removes microplastics or whatever other venture-capital-viable startup idea when we have known for forever about shit like digging crescent shaped holes to catch rainwater and turning barren land hospitable
A lot of us with chronic pain often hear invalidating things like âbut you look fineâ or âif youâre in so much pain, why are you doing things?â
And the thing is⌠at some point, weâve realized this is our reality. There was likely a lot of grieving, anger and other feelings (those feelings likely still come back time to time) and weâve got to a point where weâve realized that our âgood daysâ will be a lot of peopleâs bad days. That pain is our normal. And we need to keep going on living our lives.
Also important to note that people get tired of you being in pain. It sucks but it happens and because of that, a lot of us have gotten used to âhidingâ our pain.
My point is that just because you canât âseeâ our pain doesnât mean it isnât real and those little comments you may think are harmless can be invalidating and dismissive.
