Someone else noted on Twitter that if you use crime tools to change the weather in Amaurot to one not natural for its undersea gloom, it more clearly shows the coloration of the buildings to be in a similar style of Elpis (Elpis is more red brick with pale stone accents, so actually opposite).
I gave it a go, using Maya Purple Cocoon Opale Colorful shader to brighten things a little, and then in post edit just adjusted contrast and fill light.
Another way to do it was in my normal gameplay mode, went into Gpose, cranked Manual Brightness and all 3 droplights to max; the colors are a little closer to natural but also a bit washed out.
If you run around Amaurot even in the normal gloom, the coloration of the buildings and streets matches, but there's a distinct green tinge to everything, and the more distant buildings look gray or black (and which tends to be how many players color their Amaurot-themed housing).
But like Elpis, actual Amaurot was a bright place, one whose memory we only see in the darkness of the Tempest, or in memories of its fall in the Final Days.
Ktisis Hyperboreia and Anagnorisis at noon on a clear day for comparison.
When we posted the alternate ending for The Giving Tree a couple of weeks ago, it roused a lot of strong opinions for or against the rewrite. People either LOVED it or HATED it.
Soโฆ hereโs another alternate ending (also by Topher Payne) to a much-debated childrenโs book, The Rainbow Fish.
What do we think of this one?
โฆ
Just read The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister as usual, right up to the visit to the octopus. Then, make the switch and read this as an alternative to everything that follows.

people talk a lot about direct bullying in school but never like, when you're isolated because you're "weird" and the hushed whispers where they look over at you and point then crack up laughing. when everyone avoids you for being too blunt or having interests in "kid stuff"
so, ig shout out to everyone who wasn't bullied to their face. i was, but the majority was being an outcast
My policy is basically "don't say anything that would be embarrassing if I'm misreading the situation"
I think a lot of online conflicts happen because people jump in with a comment not knowing the full context, and end up forced to stick to overly aggressive guns because an apology would come off as insincere.
