Byakuya headcanon

He doesn’t say “I love you” often. He’s under the impression that saying it too much weakens it, instead he shows his love by having his s/o live with him so they can be cared for and receive everything he feels they deserve.

With words “have you eaten?”, “did you get much sleep?” if they need that reminder to look after themselves. “How was your day?”, “sit with me, dear”. And when he’s in a particularly intimate mood and has them sat on his lap when they’re completely alone, with a finger beneath their chin so he can look them in the eye and simply admire them, “you’re magnificent…”
