I don’t know who needs to hear this today, but intrusive thoughts are basically your brain’s (sometimes very upsetting) way of saying “If there were two guys on the moon and one of them killed the other with a rock would that be fucked up or what?”
I’ve personally found that adding the “would that be fucked or what?” part in myself really helps put the more disturbing thoughts we sometimes get into perspective. Helps me say “yeah thar sure would be fucked up” and move on with my day.
It’s not not a secret desire, it’s not something that only occurs to you because you’re a bad person. It’s just your brain deciding to process the fact that it knows an uncomfortable thing exists in the world by feeding it to you in an absurd “what if” with you as the main character.

Greetings bugs and worms!
This comic is a little different than what I usually do but I worked real hard on it—Maybe I'll make more infographic stuff in the future this ended up being fun. Hope you learned something new :)
If you are still curious and want to learn more about OCD, you can visit the International OCD Foundation's website. I also recommend this amazing TED ED video "Starving The Monster", which was my first introduction to the disorder and this video by John Green about his own experience with OCD.
The IOCDF's website can also help you find support groups, therapy, and has lots of online guides and resources as well if you or a loved one is struggling with the disorder. It is very comprehensive!
Reblog to teach your followers about OCD
(But also not reblogging doesn't make you evil, silly goose)

Mental Health Skills Box
A treasure chest of coping skills!
These are pictures of my Mental Health Skills Box, an evergrowing collection of items and other things that can help me feel better.
I highly recommend trying to make your own mental health kits!

I literally have 4 diaries I write in every day (OK no I should write more in the raindrops one... that one I'm lagging behind in. It's my goal to write into that one everyday too).
My favorites are definitely the first three because they're more writing based. My absolute fave is the Gratitude Journal, which I'm totally going to get a second one of so that I don't run out.
I actually have a dutch WordPress blog, too. But it barely gets any attention that it deserves from me tbh. I should write there again.

I ordered two DBT diaries. Super excited!! I'm especially wondering what the second one is like, as it is made by the same people who made the DBT Skills Workbook & Card Deck.

Maybe people need a little reminder to go to the toilet sometime soon.
[image ID: 2 pictures. one is a kitten standing on someone's arm (as if they were stopping the person from moving) with the top caption "Have you" and the bottom caption "have you peed today". the second picture is a discord screenshot of OP's message saying "REMINDER FOR YOUR NEURODIVERGENT ASS TO STOP PROCRASTINATING GOING TO THE TOILET". /end ID.]

Autistic Inertia is an autism experience that makes it hard to start, stop, and switch tasks.
It somehow doesn't get talked about enough - so I made this comic!

Also, if you want to read the research study I based this comic on, it’s right here!
