How to Finish

I drew this poster for Jon Acuff and his FINISH book tour. Big thanks to Jon for this collaboration, his book has some great ideas about how to complete creative and life goals.

Sometimes I feel like an imaginary friend. Not invisible but composed of foggy figments pulled from thin air. There when the real friends are busy or can see through unsettlingly well or overlook a certain aspect aching to be acknowledged. A secret club for two, password protected, security blanket to turn to for warmth but what about the cold wind blowing through this ambiguous hologram? Every disappointment leaves me more dispersed, disjointed; I fear I will disappear.

someone who has the courage to be their honest, true self and expresses willingness to keep growing as a person

•receiving a text from someone who just wants to check up and see if we’re ok.

•someone taking interest in really getting to know us (our hobbies, dreams, interests and our inner person)

•when someone wants to hangout with us all day even if we are doing absolutely nothing.

•when we are chosen to be part of something special (a hobby, a tradition, an adventure/trip)

•when someone takes time out of their day or puts down what they’re doing to offer us help in what ever we are doing or working on.
