I had to put my cat Ron down today… he was only 6 years old…

He and his brother Harry had their yearly vet check up today and it went well, they were both fine! Harry needed ear drops, but everything else was perfect… About an hour after we got home Ron started acting off, and then an hour after that he fainted…

We took him to the ER vet and they thought maybe a blood clot, but he was cold and having trouble breathing, he kept getting worse and worse by the moment and his X-rays… his heart was wasting, it was ¾ths the size it should be and he had fluid in his abdomen. He just kept getting worse and worse and we had to make the decision to let him go, he was in so much pain…

I just don’t understand how it could happen so fast! I know animals are notorious for not letting others see they’re not feeling well or sick but its just hard to wrap my head around and my heart hurts…

The vets, both their normal one and the ER vet, said it was nothing we did and nothing we didn’t do, it wasn’t our fault and said it was like a time bomb, there but unnoticed until it was too late…that doesn’t make it feel any better or make it easier…but at least we didn’t do something wrong I guess…

Harry seems alright healthwisebut we’re going to keep a closer eye on him, they’re from the same litter and we don’t want this happening to him too…and I don’t know what to do when he realizes his brother isn’t there anymore…

I just don’t know what to do…it hurts too much right now.

Anyone else having an issue in their Bestiary where it shows Undiscovered Familiars in your Discovered? Putting this in the Bug forum too but just wanted to see if I’m the only one, lol.

I have been made aware that they show up if they’re fully Awakened, I did not know that lol. SO nevermind! Thanks to @sunkentowers for letting me know!
