[210612] If its not selfless, its not love; its a trade
Love is selfless. Its not the love that hurts, its the expectations we attach with that love.
Loving our parents selflessly means we should not expect them to chose us over their other children.
Selfless Love in a romantic relationship means we should not expect them to keep us as their first priority and be bound to us and pamper us always.
To be selfless in love with friends means we are there for them, we support them when they need it.
Loving OURSELVES selflessly means we might fail sometimes and that won’t imply us treating ourselves bad or critizing oneself to the ends of depression.
I believe there is an infinite resource of love within each and every one of us, we just need to become the source. Ofcourse, it might hurt sometimes when that love is not reciprocated, but thats not in our control anyway, so why bother. I could also be the person who is not reciprocating somebody else’s love for me. Because it might not be possible to reciprocate ALL the love we receive. Similarly, its not possible to receive all the love that we are giving either.
P.S. Be aware of leechers, though. They don’t just consume love, they also consume your energy, which is a finite resource.

Note to Overthinkers:
If I gave you a windows OS and you use just notepad to make millions of notes and hoard them, would it be efficient use of that device?
Would you not use the internet to read and save files filled with immense knowledge? Use the calculator, scheduler and hundred other things?
If you think these are idiotic questions with obvious answers then riddle me this: why do you use your mind which is even superior than said operating system to overthink about things which do not have any relevance to the world?
Overthinking adds nothing to your value. It decreases it. I know it is easier said than done. God knows how many hours I have spent on social media scrolling through posts that give me some “comfort” saying it’s normal, saying that you are not alone. But I feel the people making those posts have no idea what they are normalising. For example: Imagine you have pain in your body.. would you find the reason of that pain and cure it or would you live on taking morphine injections?
We ought not to find comfort in situations where it is not supposed to be found. Please be kind to yourself and train you mind. It is a powerful muscle. A muscle which is unexplored to even the greatest of intelligence in our species. Utilize it as much as you can.
Sure it might lag sometimes (if you open toooo many applications at once) but thats fine too, you can just wait and relax till it handles itself and returns to normal speed. Take care of it. Clean it once in a while just like you clean your operating system, removing useless and virus ridden apps and temporary files. Apps being relationships and files being thoughts.
You might say what about viruses we get from internet. Well, we do have antivirus also. It is called ethics in english and “sanskaar (संस्कार)” in hindi. So the people who make you feel bad or taunt you for having these ethics/sanskaar are essentially viruses themselves. They are trying to attack your system. Be wise, protection of your system lies only in your hand. You are the administrator and the ONLY user of that system.
Please be kind to yourself. Normalise being a fast thinker. Normalise the thoughts of abundance and peace. Let go of overthinking, it’s making your mind numb. Take care of yourself.

P.S. Healthy mind resides in healthy body. So if we find it hard to change certain harmful mental habits, may be we can try changing physical bad habits.. and soon we shall have control of our body and mind.

What am I scared of?
Life is a war in pursuit of peace.
I feel like a small bodied soldier who was good at training but when put in war field, is too scared of getting shot that he is hiding behind a large rock. I don’t want to get involved in the cross fire but I know if I don’t, I will keep hiding behind this rock.
Is there a way to pass this field of life without being a part of the war?

[200227 07:54 PM] What to do?
I am thirsty while sitting on my bed and I know that the water bottle, on the table standing on my right, can quench my thirst. I can SEE the water bottle, but it is just minutely out of my reach. May be I can reach it. I extend my hand as far as I can without having to move. Now I can touch the bottle but can’t grasp it. I keep trying instead of getting up although it would be much easier if I did. But I am too much in my comfort zone to leave it. As I am trying. grazing the bottle with tips of my fingers, it moves to the edge of the table. But before I can catch, it falls on the floor. Now I know I have no other choice but to stand and pick it up.
Being confused in life, I know my soul is thirsty but I don’t know what will quench this thirst. May be I will be able to see the bottle too, if I concentrate hard enough but I don’t know if I can reach it. I don’t know how to extend my hand and neither do I know how to stand up. What do I do?

“All writers are vain, selfish, and lazy, and at the very bottom of their motives there lies a mystery. Writing a book is a horrible, exhausting struggle, like a long bout of some painful illness. One would never undertake such a thing if one were not driven on by some demon whom one can neither resist nor understand. For all one knows that demon is simply the same instinct that makes a baby squall for attention. And yet it is also true that one can write nothing readable unless one constantly struggles to efface one's own personality.”

[191207 16:27] Heaven and Hell
This earth in itself is heaven and hell. For some it’s heaven, for others it’s hell.
Born into luxuries? Living and enjoying life? Not worried to live for another day? Heaven.
Need to fight for each meal? See all the bad and hatred of this world? Cannot attain peace even after achieving everything? Hell.
