I can't stop thinking bout ash being the main support system of Gary's mental health but he doesn't pay attention to his own decline of his health

So one night (they live together) Gary wakes up because he hears something and when he looks to his side Ash isn't there

He finds Ash on the couch crying quietly but the second Gary asks if he's okay Ash wipes his face and tries his hardest to look okay but Gary of course knows he's not

Turns out he had a nightmare, more like a flashback, of the Kalos incident and that night a lot of talking happened and crying but Gary helps Ash and convinces him to maybe try therapy

(I would write this but I can't write angst good 😭)

i’m so late in replying to this sorry !! BUT omg !! i love this, they would both support each other so much in mental health <33 (i hc they both suffer from anxiety but gary’s is more severe than ash’s) but anyways !! you should try to write this out, anyone can write a good story if they try to <3

i have said it once and will continue to say it : gary’s puberty struck him on his height leaving him to get up to 6 ft while ash’s puberty skipped his height leaving him as the petite man that he has always been haha. (his puberty caused him to shave every week though lol)

in conclusion : i think gary’s taller but it doesn’t stop ash from picking him up lol.

Took me a bit to read that long post but YESSSSSS and I feel like people forget that sometimes it's not "who's the pants" or anything like that it's "I'm happy both of you are happy" that's as simple as that!

i totally went off on that post haha not surprised if anyone else had to take a minute to read it. but yes !! totally !! i mean as i said they both have characteristics that make their “roles” so interchangeable but it’s not about that anyway for any relationship to be realistic. a relationship is a team, and it shouldn’t be who does what and who doesn’t do what. 🤗

[ LONG POST !! – seeing some convo about this topic among palletshippers so i wanna just talk about it lol]

i do think ash is quite masculine and i do think he would do most of the more “manlier” things instead of gary (my biggest being him opening the jars for gary because my bb don’t got much strength haha) BUT i do think gary is quite masculine himself, and (to me) he doesn’t really represent any kind of “feminine” characteristics. (unless you count cooking and other stuff people have normalized as a gender role) overall though, i myself do hc ash as genderfluid, and think that he would wear anything he feels like no matter if it’s a girl shirt or whatever (mostly his crossdressing eps influenced my hc lol) as i said though i consider him more masculine than anything and gary as well i personally never have believed in the whole “who wears the pants who wears the skirt” because it just seems like a stereotype for every and any queer relationship. but it doesn’t necessarily exclude the fact that there is such a thing as a feminine men so i never have felt the need to say that a hc can be so unrealistic especially for ash since as i’ve said his crossdressing episodes have made my hc of him not caring if a clothing piece is for girls or not, he’ll just wear whatever he wants because he’s his own person. 💖 still though, palletshipping is such a fun ship because they both share interchangeable characteristics that it doesn’t matter if it’s “manly” or “feminine” it’s still something they would share. as i’ve said i don’t believe in “who wears the pants and who wears the skirt” shipping and seeing others views is fun !! as long as it’s not in a icky way or to meet the standards that society has created for queer people, continue to hc palletshipping and ash however you want !! 🫶🏻🫶🏻
