How would the genshin characters hug you/react to you hugging them

A/N: Just wholesome hcs, hope you guys enjoy! I also realize how many of the characters I forgot on my last post. 😭

Characters included : Eula, Jean, Beidou, Ganyu, Shenhe, Yelan, Itto, Kazuha, Raiden Ei and Yae Miko

Eula

❄️- I cannot see Eula being very used to hugs so when you do hug her I can see her freeze up a little

❄️- ”Oh Y/N…” Awkwardly hugs back. Her hugs are pretty stiff

❄️- Usually when you hug her you wrap your arms around all of Euls so that she can’t even move her own arms, when she is able to wriggle one arm free she will pet your head

Jean

🛡️- Jean loves your hugs and appreciattes it alot when you come into her office and just hug her

🛡️- Sure it may be distracting but it is the distraction she needs

🛡️- You usally hug her from the side or even sit in her lap and hug her from the side.

🛡️- Jean always has a spare hand to pat your arm that wrapped around her while she wrote her paperworks

🛡️- When she is done however that is when she can hug you in a less one sided way.

”Y/N, you have no idea how happy I am to see you today”

Ayaka

❄️- Ayaka can just be doing her work and you will come up from behind to hug her, wrapping your arms around her waist and putting your chin on her shoulder while she writes paperwork

❄️- ”Oh hello Y/N, I didn’t hear you coming” Ayaka says and smiles, lightly petting your head. After she is done signing paperwork though she will give you a proper hug.

❄️- Her hugs are very soft and she usually sets her head at the crook of your neck, she breathes in very content and happy that you are here with her

Beidou

⚓️- ”Oh? You want a hug? Then a hug is what you’ll get!” Those are the last words you will hear before Beidou crushes your spine in a bearhug.

⚓️- Beidou’s hugs are like said, bearhugs. With two big arms wrapping around you and then squeeze!

⚓️- But if Beidou does not feel as playful and same with you she will just wrap her arms around you and hug you normally

⚓️- Her hugs are really sweet and warm. She loves stroking her hand on your back. Preferbly if you can sit on her lap and she can do the same.

Ganyu

❄️- Ganyu would never except your hugs, everytime you do she is never really prepared leading to a yelp and then hug

❄️- If she holds something she accudently drops it and then hugs you. Even if that has lead to accident sometimes, atleast she values more than the item she is holding-

❄️- Ganyu loves your hugs and always hug back softly. You can feel the heat from Ganyu’s cheek on your shoulder or the crook of your neck

❄️- She doesn’t mind hugging and can stay there forever, her hugs usually lasts very long but you never dare to be the one to let go first.

Shenhe

❄️ - She would not know what a hug is either. INCREDIBLY stiff. You hug her and it is like hugging a rock.

❄️- She will just stand there all quiet.

❄️- ”I am hugging you, this is a hug. Usually you do this when you love or appreciatte someone or this is one way to greet your close friends” You patiently explained.

❄️- ”Oh okay” Shenhe then wrapped her arms around you and like you did she squeezed…hard.

❄️- ”okay maybe not thst hard!-” You wheezed out and Shenhe stopped hugging before hugging you a little softer…this time too loose

❄️- ”Is this better?” You let out a hum of reassurance and you could feel Shenhe nodding with the way her head moved, rested on your shoulder.

❄️- She got used to hugging more later on, her hugs were light and she never squeezed. Her cold hands sent shivers down your spine at times but you didn’t mind <3

Yelan

🎲- After a long day of work there was nothing more Yelan wanted to do than come home and hug you.

🎲- as soon as she opened the door you were there to greet her with a hug

🎲- If Yelan held something she would drop it (or gently put it down if it’s delicatd) and hug you back

🎲- You could tell she was waiting for that hug all day when she just melted in your arms. Her body relaxing almost like you had to hold her from falling onto the ground

🎲- She is usually the first one to break away from the hug, she did so but that was just so you two can cuddle in bed later.

🎲- ”Okay let’s not let the cold air in” Yelan chuckled, she stepped into her home more and closed the door behind her.

🎲-”Let’s just cuddle in bed, I am exhausted” Yelan sighed, her shoulders drooping. You giggled at Yelan before taking her hand and leading her into the bedroom where you two fell asleep in eachothers arms

Itto

👹- Bearhugger number 2!

👹 He is tall and has strong arms, usually when he hugs you you get swept from your feet as well, your feets dangling, your arms being unable to hug Itto back while he swings back and forth like you are his plush

👹- Shinobu sometimes have to remind Itto to be careful hugging you, so that he does not break your spine <3

Kazuha

🍁- Sweet boy loves your hugs even if he himself does not initiate on them first.

🍁- Kazuha is the type to recite poems while hugging you, whispering it into your ear to soothe you.

🍁- You usually hug him whenever you feel like it while he modtly does it when he hasn’t seen you for a long time.

🍁- He always complements you while hugging you, he is just so sweet <3

🍁- ”Your eyes are beautiful like maple leaves that depart from the tree”

Raiden Shogun/Ei

🍡- Ei was not used at all to these hugs

🍡- When you hugged her for the first time she tensed up.

🍡- ”Y/N, what are you doing?” She asked while your arms were wrapped around her.

🍡- ”A hug” you replied smiling at her

🍡- ”I see…” Ei would then awkwardly try to hug you back even if her hug was extremely loose, you could barely feel her hands on your skin.

🍡- Yae would be very anused to see the oh so strong electro archon loose her composure over some hug.

🍡- Ei does get more comfortable with the hugs though and when she has resched that point her hugs are quite nice! Very comforting.

Yae Miko

🦊- She is not a hugger type of person but will of course accept your hugs because she loves you

🦊- You usually give her side hugs or back hugs when she is reading a book, if the book looks interesting enough or Tae reccomends it while you are hugging her, you will read with her.

🦊- You can see her sitting on the stairs of Narukami Shrine reading a novel. You sit beside her and give her a side hug.

🦊- ”Greetings to you too Y/N” Yae replied sparing you a glance.

🦊- ”Hello!” You greeted her back. Yae let out a amused sigh when she saw that you were not gonna let go of her anytime soon.

🦊- When Yae hugs you however her hugs are a bit more loose, you can always feel her fingers trail lightly over your back, especially when your back is bare.

🦊- She always rest her hand on your shoulder when she hugs you, she won’t admit it but she always feel a sense of peace hugging you.

Spending christmas with the genshin characters

A/N: To celebrate christmas please enjoy this! It is just you celebrating christmas with the different characters. You can kinda notice which xharacter K am more familiar with then others😅

Anyways I hope you all have a very good christmas! 🎄 and a happy new year!

Not really proofread

Eula

Eula never really celebrsted any holidays like that, she often did it with Amber or she just did it alone

Now that you came into her life she has another person she can celebrste every holiday with

The people of Mondstat are still holding a very big grudge on her because of the family she was unfortunetly born into so buying meals was something you had to do

Trees however Eula easily could cut down with her claymore

You both decided to celebrate at your house

When it came to buying gifts you thought Amber could accompony Eula

After you both had bought gifts you two decorated the tree hbging around the ornaments you and suprisngly Eula owned.

You and Eula cooked the christmas meal together and after that you opened the gifts she got for you

Eula was thankful that she could celebrate such a nice holiday with you <3

Jean

You kinda had to drag Jean off of her desk so she can celebrate christmas like everyone else and enjoy herself

You decided that Jean and Barbara if she wished to, could come and celebrate at your house

Jean is obviously very familiar with christmas and she prepared stuff in advance like the shopping of meals, christmas tree and a present for you

Jean cooks pretty well because she is sure to get the meassurements right and she got high praises from you and (if you decided to celebrate with your family too) your family as well

You and Jean decorated the tree before putting in all the gifts under it

You shook your presents you got from Jean to try and predict what she would get you but it was hard to say

Jean was good atleast knowing what you wished for christmas

”I have tried to pay extra attention to what you wished for christmas”

How you imagine christmas to be celebrate is how it went with Jean

Beidou

It was way more different celebrating christmas at the Crux Fleet then your house.

Still though it was very nice with Beidou going through further lengths to ensure your image of christmas would be perfect

One thing you know is you mentioning the christmas tree and next you see her men hauling in one on the fleet

You mostly told Beidou about how you celebrate christmas with the meals and gifts

Beidou nodded and promised you that she will fix everything when you two get on land

When you two finally came back to Liyuee you bought some stuff for her you think she would like, like weights and clothes

Beidou knows what you wish for, you might underestimate how much Beidou pay attention to these kinda things

The only thing you could hear fro the Crux Fleet as they sailed through the ocean was loud laughter, music and dances

After that whole night you and Beidou decorated the tree, yes a little bit of the wrong order but Beidou’s men couldn’t help but to start drinking and celebrating

You and Beidou decorated the tree and also got to open the presents you had for eachother

To finish off that wild christmas night you and Beidou had you just cuddled into eachothers arms

Ayaka

Ayaka was well familiar with the holiday called christmas even though she doesn’t really celebrate it

However it became different when you came into her life

You told Ayaka about christmas and taught her all the traditions.

Being as rich as she is *cough cough* she easily prepared for the holiday, only a snap of her finger and it was on.

Although shoving a whole tree inside the estate proved to be a bit difficult but it worked out!

Decorating the tree was a peaceful time

The food that you introduced on the christmas dinner was different from what her and her brother excpected but the food was delicious nonetheless and Ayaka was grateful that you showed her the different meals

If you can cook or helped cooking then you showed Ayaka how to make the different meals as well.

Ayaka knew you gave presents on this holiday so she bought you loads of stuff

While you gave her some jewlery and clothes

The Kamisato estate was lively the whole day of christmas cheer!

Ei/Raiden Shogun

Ei had no idea at all about what christmas was

You guessed that celebrating christmas in your way wasn’t at all common in Inazuma but the tradition was near and you can’t just go a year without celebrating it

You explained to Ei what christmas was, the different traditions, customs and meals while she sat there with a utter confused look

”You’re saying you have a whole tree inside your house?” Ei asked which you nodded.

Even if all of this was new to her Ei was willing to learn seeing that she might know more about humans that way as well plus, one more holiday tradition can’t hurt *wink wink*

Anywho she trusted your judgement about everything, you only had to say the word and Ei made the tenryo commision abide by your wishes. Even they were a bit confused as to why you shove a whole tree in your house for one holiday but some questions just couldn’t be answered, not even by you

When it came to dinner you had to show the chefs the reciepe because we all know how good Ei’s cooking is

Ei asked Yae for info about this holiday which the pink fox just replied

”In this holiday it is populaur to give gifts to one another”

”Like you do when it’s someone’s birthday?” Ei asked

”Exactly”

Ei didn’t know that asking what you wished for christmas would be a dead giveaway on what she’s gonna get you but you never really cared. This was her first time celebrating christmas anyways

Eitherway it was very educational for Ei and a fun time for you <3

Kazuha

Celebrating with Kazuha isn’t as easily done since he wanders all the time but he can obviously make an exception for you and stay at your place to celebrate

Even if he didn’t, the christmas you will have with him will be as enjoyable as any other

You could explain christmas to him and he would lidten clearly engaged. Or he just stares on your beautiful face <3

You told him that it was common to give gifts and so he bought you some gifts, you did as well

You gave him ink and paper so he can write down his poems while he gave you a necklace

He recited poems to you as you both walked around in Chinju forest. Saying it was just peaceful was an understatement.

Yae Miko

She was very well educated in what christmas was and when you asked if she could celebrate it with you she smiled

”Oh you wanna celebrate christmas with me? What an honour” Was what she said

You two decided to celebrate at your own home and whether you did it with your family plus Yae Miko or not it turned out well no matter what

Your family loved Yae Miko, she easily charmed her way into your parents heart.

Anywho the food served was different but Yae was very fond of it

She is very good at reading people and easily got you the stuff you wished for, even the stuff you didn’t think you wished for!

”Wow! No way I always wanted this! How did you know?”

”Oh please, I see the way your gaze lingers”

Yae enjoyed herself quite alot and even if she didn’t celebrate christmas before she will definetly do it more now that you are here.

”Shinobu! Do you know where my uniform is?” Shinobu looked at her door and back at the letter she was writing to Ubuyashiki, contemplating which one was more important to prioritize.

’Oh the hell with it’ setting down her pen she walked out into the hallway. Taking turns to where she assumed she heard your voice.

”Ah there you are Shinobu! I can’t find my uniform, do you know where it is?”

”Shinobu! Do you know where my uniform is?” Shinobu looked at her door and back at the letter she was writing to Ubuyashiki, contemplating which one was more important to prioritize.

’Oh the hell with it’ setting down her pen as she walked out into the hallway. Taking turns to where she assumed she heard your voice.

”Ah there you are Shinobu! I can’t find my uniform, do you know where it is?”

”Have you tried asking Aoi?” You shook your head and Shinobu heard you down the hall yell a triumph ”yes!”. You ran back to her with your uniform on.

”Great! Now off you go!” You turned around with a deadpan expression. Shinobu giggled at your expression.

”I’m just kidding, but please. Be careful” You nodded and with that you sprinted away.

“Are you sure we’re on the right way Suki?” Your crow looked immediately offended and started to peck you.

“I always go the right way!”

“Okay okay, if you say so! It’s just that the map doesn’t really match the surroundings!” Your crow continued to peck you obviously offended by what you are saying. You continued to make your way through the mountain, the tall trees looming over your figure and let little to no light pass through.

The day turned to evening and then to night.

”Dang it! Have we really gotten lost!?” You yelled out in frustration, turning the map in every way, shape and form you could.

You leaned your head back and sighed in frustration.

”Well we have done it now Suki, we are headed the wrong way” you shook your head and the crow looked just as defeated as you did.

”D-demon lord Muzan” your ears perked up at the sound and you began to hear voices. You treaded carefully and saw a demon bowing to what looked like to be the demon king. Your breath caught in your throat and you snuck behind a bush to listen in.

”Is this the best you can do? Is this how many humans you can just eat?”

”Please lord Muzan! I swear I can be stronger!” The other demon got up and brought up his arm to which Muzan sliced, his arm landing right in front of where you hid.

You held your hand over your mouth as you made sure the hand didn’t move independently and that you weren’t being spotted.

”You haven’t grown strong at all. If you would have reacted quicker” The demon king replied.

”You had potential, I will admit that much. What a pity” The demon tried to protest but it was quickly silenced by a clean cut from the neck by Muzan. The demon's body laid there motionless and you have heard well enough.

You slowly got up to leave before he se-

”I know you are there. Pretty rude to just listen into a conversation no?” You felt your blood turn to ice and your heart sunk to your feet. The demon king had a calm expression as he looked at your terror stricken face.

You were so scared that you could barely move but with much effort and will you took up your katana against him.

He simply rolled his eyes before it looked like he teleported away, you looked confused before he appeared right before you kicked your side. You felt immense pain and ribs cracking before you flung against a tree. Your head collided with it leading to you feeling an aching pain from your head.

You hissed in pain before opening your eyes to Muzan crouching down to your level.

”Yes that is what I thought. Even if I face you, you demon slayers always take up your katana like that is going to help you” Before you could say anything he stabbed his finger through your forehead and you felt something enter through it.

”You can have my blood as a gift here for your bravery” Muzan chuckled.

Your crow Suki began to panic, fluttering her wings frantically. Muzan quickly got annoyed and with his hand cut off Suki’s head.

”Suki!-” And with that Muzan left you there.

Your body reacted quickly to the blood and you withered in pain. Veins were practically pulsating from your body, your nails grew long and sharp and your teeth turned to fangs.

It took a while before the pain finally subsided (reason being your body fought against the blood and transformation, not adding that tho into the final, Shinobu explains that)

You laid on the ground, your body exhausted and you could barely move. Tears from the pain and now sorrow you felt you come to accept the fact that you are a demon, the ugly thing you swore to kill and not become, yet here you are.

Shinobu looked at the time for what was the fifth time in the past ten minutes.

”Shinobu, you seem worried, is something the matter?” Aoi asked. Shinobu hunched over her desk only sighed and turned facing Aoi.

”I have a bad gut feeling and I can’t focus”

”Aren’t you sure that ’gut feeling’ is just you being worried? They’ll be fine, I believe they are capable enough” Aoi replied, setting a plate of cut apples in front of Shinobu. ”Here, if you eat a little maybe you’ll feel better”

”Hm, maybe. I will just have to wait and see” Shinobu took a apple slice and munched on it as her thoughts continued to drift away to you.

Night turned into morning and you had already moved to the shade.

You scooted to your crows dead body. Taking the head and the body you buried her beneath the soil, you prayed and held a silent minute for your fallen friend.

You sat there for a moment of silence before taking your katana and looking at your own reflection through it.

”There’s no way I can go back. Shinobu will kill me and worse she might not even recognize me” You vented to no one in particular. Alone as you were you sat there on the forest ground reflecting your life. Weirdly you didn’t feel hunger or any urge to consume anything. You looked on the ground and saw the sunlight creep closer to you. You got up and dusted yourself off.

’No point in sulking’ You concluded and began walking to nowhere in particular.

The sun shone down on the butterfly estate and through the window to Shinobu’s room. She got up and rubbed her tired eyes.

‘Hm, it seems like I fell asleep again’ She looked down at her unfinished paperwork and pushed it aside.

She got up and got herself ready for the day, tried to freshen up and eat breakfast. Aoi was already in the kitchen.

”Any updates on Y/N’s whereabouts?”

”No nothing. Shinobu, I think you are worrying too much. They should be back by tomorrow and if something happened then their crow would fly back here to tell us” Aoi said chopping the vegetables.

”Hm, that is true. I guess I will just have to wait then”

And wait she did but to no avail. Demon slayers looked around for traces of you, where your mission had been but they found nothing of you and with that, Shinobu had no choice but to come to terms with the fact that she lost you.

2 years later (to the current kny timeline)

The past 2 years have been a lonely one. You never dared walking around where humans were, afraid that your instinct as a demon would take over and that you would lose control. So you have just been hiding away in forests, hunting animals, stealing from empty houses and surviving by scraping the bottom of the barrel. You practiced your speed a lot, for when the day came you encountered a demon slayer or a hashira and could run away.

Shinobu still think of you at times. She hopes you are alive, even if it had been 2 years. You were never confirmed dead and no one found any blood or traces of you, she never lost faith.

After an exhausting mission, all Shinobu wanted was just to pass out on her bed and fall asleep for a year. Yawning, she walked through the dense forest with her sword strapped to her hip.

She looked up and from the distance she saw h/c hair, it looked alot like…you. She ran forward and you who heard running footsteps quickly turned around. Shinobu came half way and both of you stared at each other in shock.

”Y/N? Is that you?” You didn’t waste a second, you turned tails and ran the other direction.

’Shit shit shit! She recognized me! She recognized me!’ Practising your speed in those 2 years really came in handy now since when you looked back it looked like Shinobu was struggling to keep up.

”Y/N! Come back!" Shinobu yelled and you ignored her, picking up your speed.

Even after all these years, you couldn’t face her, maybe it was a shame or how angry Shinobu would have been, how angry you thought she would have been.

All these thinking and all this dilemma made you fail to realize that Shinobuwasn’t behind you anymore. Jumping from the trees above she finally jumped down at you, right in front of you. You quickly covered your face with your arms and there her shoes were planted but her weight and force made you fall onto your back.

”Stop! Stop get away!” Your hands and arms frantically tried to shove Shinobu off of your stomach while she tried to grab your wrist and calm you down. She finally got ahold of them and firmly pushed them on the ground beside your head.

”Y/N! Calm down! Please!” You both panted, the adrenaline in both of your bodies seemed to disapparate.

”Shinobu…” You muttered out and she gave you a sad shocked look.

”What, what happened to you?” Shinobu asked and got off of you. You couldn’t hold it in anymore and tears began to run down your cheeks.

”I-I became a demon! The demon king turned me into one when I overheard him talking to some other demon” Arms quickly encased you into a hug and you tightly hugged her back, your hands clinging onto the back of her haori as you cried into her shoulder.

"I didn't come back because I thought you would kill me" You confessed and hearing that made Shinobu's heartstring tug.

"I would have atleast hear you out first...I could never raise my blade first and think second when it comes down to you" With her hand she had at your back she drew patterns and circles to calm you down.

The relief that you felt from that sentence made you cry harder and you clung onto Shinobu tighter while she just continued on drawing patterns behind your back.

After a while when you had calmed down you wiped your tears but you didn't dare looking at Shinobu.

"I-"

I'm glad you're alive" Shinobu said and smiled.

"Thank you but...I can't go back. What will the demon slayers say and- the hashiras!? What about them!? They'll kill me and-" You rambled on and began to spiral down into panic.

Shinobu had her finger under your chin making you look at her.

"I will protect you from them. You would be happy to know that there is a little girl who is just like you. A demon who doesn't eat humans"

"How do you know I haven't eaten humans?"

"If you had, you wouldn't be sane like you are right now. As soon as you consume a human you are done for"

"Ohhh" You still were doubtful and that was evident on your face.

"That demon girl has already been in trial and she came out unharmed, we can do the same with you except you have me as your defender" Shinobu smiled and pointed to herself and you couldn't help but smile back, feeling hopeful.

"But before that lets get you to my estate. I am sure everyone will be happy to see you again and you need to rest" Shinobu helped you up and you hugged her again.

"Thank you, thank you thank you!" You hugged her tighter. Shinobu chuckled.

"You can thank me when we're at the estate, it's getting cold" You nodded and held Shinobu's hand. You both walked onwards with the future never looking as bright as it did now.

Saw you're requests were open and that you added genshin to your thing, so I'm going against my better judgement rn.

(Oneshot) Yae Miko x gn autistic reader that takes everything at face value (like me), um angst because reader doesn't understand that miko is just teasing and they think she's actually annoyed 💀 anyways, obviously angst, but they talk it through with each other and she maybe realises her teasing isn't always a good idea.

Idk, I find the idea of miko being like "Oh shit, I fucked up" funny.

Yae Miko x gn!Reader

A/n: Now that you say it that reaction from Yae Miko would be hilarious! Thank you for requesting, you have the honour of being the first to request genshin and the first to request the one and only Yae Miko no less!

You can interpret this as platonic or romantic. It is a bit hard to tell in this fic I apologize😅

Word count: 1621

People in Inazuma city parted ways like the sea of moses from the way you ran, half putting on your shrine maiden clothes. You apologized when you nearly ran into people.

You had finally reached the foot of the mountain and you began running through the thousand red gates. The sun shined mercilessly down on you and you felt yourself beginning to sweat. You wanted to rest and just walk up but you were about to be late.

Running as you went you saw the floating rocks with the electrogana on it. If only you had an electro vision things would have been easier. Looking up the mountain again you saw you had a long way to go.

’Ahhh, all this hassle because I overslept!’ You internally cried.

After what felt like forever you finally reached the Narukami shrine. You went through the toji gate and bowed out of respect before going in.

The pink fox lady stood by the fox shaped sakura tree with her back turned. Her ear twitched and she let out a low hum.

”You know you really shouldn’t be late on your first day here. It is quite rude and makes for awful first impressions”

”I am sorry lady Yae Miko, you’re right. I shall do better!” You bowed to apologize. This was your first day working at the shrine as a shrine maiden. Yae Miko’s work quite frankly fascinated you so you wanted to work with her. Plus working with her meant some nice quality time for you two.

You saw two fingers snap right in front of you and you snapped out of your daydreaming.

“Honestly don’t go zoning out when I am about to give instructions. You really are out of it today”

“Yes yes, sorry about that”

”Ah well. The first thing to do is make sure the shrine is nice and tidy” Your eyes wandered around the shrine in search of something amiss before you heard an exasperated sigh.

”I meant look around the place. Go on, walk around” Yae sounded annoyed and with that you looked away a little ashamed before doing so.

You did find that some of the floorboards were dusty and since foxes roamed around there were a few things…littered.

”One must make sure the shrine is all nice and tidy before the people come. No one wants to pray with the smell of animal feces around do they or get their socks all dusty and slip” You nodded and then stood there…not knowing where the cleaning supplies are.

“Well? Get a move on” You jumped a little and turned to her.

“I don’t know where the cleaning supplies are”

Yae sighed again before smiling.

“If you used your two eyes your mother graced you with you would see it says ‘cleaning supplies’ over there” Yae pointed. Your cheeks grew a bit more red out of embarrassment.

‘This is so embarrassing? Does she treat every shrine maiden this way?’ You glanced at Yae who still looked at you. ’Is she annoyed with me?’

Taking the cleaning supplies you began to sweep the floorboards and clean up from the foxes.

”See? That wasn’t so hard? Only took you 10 minutes to understand everything and do what I say”

”That long!?” You yelled out in shock. No way it has already gone 10 minutes

”Yes that long. Is something wrong with you today? You’re usually not this slow” All these jabs you were getting started to really get on your nerves.

’Maybe she really is annoyed with me’ Your heart began sinking.

”It’s my first day working Yae, you know that” You countered earning a sigh from Yae.

”Mhmm I know but still, things like understanding a simple instruction like cleaning shouldn’t take that long” You nodded at her words.

“Hmf” Yae finished off and your heart began to sank a bit further.

‘What's up with her today? All of these remarks is starting to hurt' You thought before shaking your head. 'It will be better next time’

Next time came, again and again. No really big improvement on either part. You accidentally messed up a ritual and said the wrong words.

“...Walk forth and purify which is im-impure?” You said the wrong word and the stutter messed the whole ritual up leading to a annoyed sigh from Yae.

“We have gone over it a thousand times and you still don’t remember? The word is 'come' forth” You felt like she was jabbing at your heart or her words did.

Jab there, jab here.

“That’s not a way to sweep the floorboards, if anything you are just spreading the dust around” One jab.

“Why is your back so bent, posture straight or you’ll look like the shrimp I ate for lunch” Another jab.

You began fearing that you were more of a burden tothe shrine than helping. All these jabs from Yae Miko can’t be a mistake, she must be really annoyed. Not to mention she doesn’t do that with any other of the shrine maidens.

‘Fine! If she thinks I am a burden to the shrine then I won’t be coming’ Hurt, you came to that conclusion and stayed home.

Yae was waiting for you at the shrine. She tapped her foot on the floorboard impatiently before clicking her tongue.

’They must be late or something’ She concluded and went on her roundly checkup to see that everything on the shrine looks alright.

She had waited a while and you still haven't come, much to Yae’s annoyance. If you are sick just tell her. She looked down on the steep mountain however. Okay maybe not.

Eitherway you will probably come tomorrow.

Tomorrow came and you didn’t show up. Yae assumed you were sick and went on about her day.

When a week had gone by Yae didn’t really suspect anything. You could be sick, and from what she has learned humans can be sick for a week sometimes so that is what she assumed happened to you.

However when you didn’t come after that week she became really suspicious.

‘They had better not quit before telling me’ She thought bitterly. Enough was enough she decided and strode down the mountain to get to your house.

You were sitting on the couch of your home wondering if you should try to go to work again. You really wanted to, the job was cool, you loved Yae but what’s the point when she just seems annoyed by every single thing that you did?

Before you could think of finding her she found you first and knocked on your door. You got up and opened it to a menacing smiling Yae and a shiver ran up your spine.

“Well you look fine and dainty as ever. Care to tell me why you have been skipping work?” Yae asked and you inwardly sighed.

“I’m sorry it’s uh, complicated”

“It is nothing that I, Lady Yae Miko, can't understand. I have lived for several of hundred years and encountered many humans, I practically know you humans down to the bone. Now tell me, why have you been skipping work?”

“It’s just…I do like working at the shrine…but” You started slowly and Yae Miko stood there waiting.

“But?”

“I just feel like you are annoyed with me…you say these things” One of Yae Miko’s eyebrow rose and she let out a low questioning hum.

“I wanna work but every little thing I do is wrong. You say it all the time, either my posture isn’t right, I sweep the broom wrong, I’m slow for not knowing where the cleaning supplies are even though it is my first day”

“You…” Yae Miko began but you interrupted her

"I get that if I'm doing something wrong you should tell but the way you say it is really hurtful and minor things like not knowing where the cleaning supplies are on my first day is really...you know?" You nervously vented out in hopes of understanding.

Before Yae made you work she made it very clear to always tell her if something is wrong or if there is something you don't like. Communication is key and she lives strongly by that.

Yae lets out a heavy sigh.

“I see, so that’s what this has been about” You looked up to see Yae who to your surprised look troubled.

“I did say those things yes but I was merely teasing, I didn’t think you would take my words to heart”

“Just a ‘just kidding’ would be fine” You replied a bit sourly.

Yae scratched her head, her brows furrowing as she looked like she really was thinking hard. This was a new side to her you never thought you would see.

”I see now. I am…sorry I didn’t make it clear I was merely teasing. The things I said were far from the truth, I don’t think any of those things. You are hardworking and I see that you try” You stood there taking in Yae’s words. You felt relieved and your heart beated a bit faster.

”I will stop my teasing if it makes you that upset but please come back to the shrine. The mornings without you on the shrine is a lonely one for me” You looked at Yae and giggled. Seeing this side of her was interesting and fun, you couldn’t help but giggle a little.

”Sure, I’d like that” you replied and closed the door behind you.

”Perfect. Come now, I have a lot of new novels I have read the past few days while you were gone that I need to tell you about and when we reach the shrine you will get tea, you have been more than deserving for that”

Shinobu SFW alphabet. 900+ followers special

A/N: This was originally a 500+ followers event where you could choose the letters but to celebrate 900+ followers I decided to write the rest of the alphabet for you guys, I hope you enjoy! I feel like I haven’t been thanking you all near enough as I should have been for supporting me so I hope this makes up for it! Some of the letters are already written in request which you can find in the masterlist but you can also find them here!

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

Shinobu is somewhat affectionate, it really just depends on her mood. If she feels extra soft she will come to you and hug you.

Doesn’t matter if you are facing away from her or not you will get that hug.

She will give you some kisses mostly on the cheek or on the nose to see it scrunch up

She’s not so big on PDA so don’t excpect much from her there. She might give you a kiss on the cheek but other than that it’s mostly just hand holding. Although if there’s someone that tries to flirt with you then Shinobu will bring you in by the hip and give you a kiss, just to show that you belong to her.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

Shinobu would obviously be that teasing friend. She loves to tease her friends so you’re not spared. Of course she knows when to stop her teasing or when it’s the right moment.

You and Shinobu would be kinda like two peas in a pod and almost never seperate. Shinobu is usually the one that spots you first and later just drags you with her.

If you’re an introvert see her as the extrovert that adopted you.

You cannot tell me otherwise but Shinobu is best wing woman.

She gives the best advices ever and will be there for you when you need to vent

Shinobu is also very smart as we all know but she wouldn’t let you copy off her homework, she would however help you with it.

Best girl to spill the tea with.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

Shinobu likes to cuddle but she’s just so busy so she almost never has time to. When she does have time to cuddle then she will usually wanna be the big spoon.

She wants to feel like she can wrap her arms around you and protect you. When she’s in her more soft mood then she will be the small spoon.

She likes the feeling of your arms wrapping around her, she feels very safe and loved.

If you ask her to cuddle she might tease you a little, but it’s extremely lighthearted since she would never wanna make you afraid to ask her for cuddles

You two often cuddle when you two are going to bed, when Shinobu is done with her work, when she is tired or you or when you two have a day off.

She also likes it when you two lay face to face on your side and hug eachother, legs entangled with one another. She likes to see your face and give it some kisses.

Another cuddling position she likes that doesn’t happen as often as the other two is just when she can lay on your chest and you can draw patterns on her back or just wrap your arms around her.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

She wants to settle down with you, she really does. But she wants to avenge her sister, that has been her top priority for 4 years and you can’t back her down. If she does survive however then she will settle down.

Shinobu is very good at cooking and cleaning even if Aoi is usually the one that does both of those jobs.

Shinobu always make sure to time everything down when she cooks and meassure so that all of it is correct.

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

She’d do it in private of course and in the evening. She will take you in her office or lab and will sit you down before she’s seated herself. Shinobu will have a serious look and her smile is gone. Shinobu won’t beat around the bush and will get straight to the point. If you begin to cry then she will let you cry on her shoulder. Shinobu will give you reasons on why it didn’t work and the only pro when you break up with her is that she won’t leave you with any questions. Every question you have she will answer truthfully.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

Shinobu does wanna marry and settle down but she doesn’t have high hopes for it since the time they are in is demon infested. She would prioritize her duty as a hashira over getting married any day but that doesn’t mean she will say no to a romantic relationship.

Not only that but she also wants to avenge her sister and she will again, choose that over marriage.

Best outcome though is when she achieved both things and only then she can consider marrying and settling down.

If we’re gonna talk about modern au though she would want your romantic relationship to last years before marrying. She is not the one to mary after the first or third year but maybe fifth or even longer.

Alot can happen during those years and she doesn’t wanna be too hasty.

But on both accounts, she would wanna marry.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

Shinobu is very gentle, so so gentle. Her touch is so soothing and her voice is so comforting. Shinobu mostly got her gentleness from her sister and later further learned to be gentle when she had to take care of the butterfly girls and her sister. Emotionally she is gentle with you, just not herself due to the constant state of anger she’s in. Shinobu teases alot too and those are not so gentle, but if you want her to stop she will. Besides all the teasing and the inner anger she feels, she’s very gentle.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

I can’t see her as the biggest lover of hugs but she is not oppossed to it and will gladly accept any hugs you give her, ok besides when she’s out in public and got that reputation to uphold or when she’s working. At least when she’s working she might give you an awkward hug back, it will be a little bit one sided but trust me, she’s trying her best.

Shinobu’s hugs often happens at the days she’s more free from work which is rare or when you two are alone in the office or when you two are going to bed together.

Basically you hug her in the day and she hugs you in the evening or/and night.

When she does hug you though let me tell you, it’s one of the best hugs you will ever receive in your life if not the best.

She knows how to hug you and make you feel safe. Her hugs are soft but sinscere and full of love. Shinobu’s scent makes the hug all the better.

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)

It’s most likely that she will confess first but other than that she’s not so quick to say the L-word. Mostly because she really wants to think if she’s truly fallen in love or if it’s just a small crush. She doesn’t wanna make any impulsive descisions, not to mention you might not even like her back. If you’re not confessing first then you will have to wait for a good while.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

She gets jealous quite often but tries to ignore those feelings. To her, being jealous is immature so when she thinks she’s jealous she is in denial. But it’s clear when she’s jealous, the way she sometimes spy on you and the other person you’re talking to, when she comes forward and drags you away to help her with a task you know full well she’s capable of handling herself and how her voice becomes more passive agressive, depending on the person she’s talking to.

If it’s Giyu then let me tell you it gets a whole lot worse. Her teasing level is going sky high and she comes up with every teasing comment she can which is alot. When Shinobu isn’t talking she will only stare at Giyu until he becomes uncomfortable and leaves.

When you confront her about it she will deny it at first but the red blush will give her away. If you really don’t like how she acts she will apologize to you and maybe Giyu but no promises!

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

Her kisses are soft and comforting. She has smooth lips scented lips so they smell nice. Everytime you get a kiss no matter where or how you will always be craving for more.

Shinobu loves to kiss you on the cheek, forehead and nose. Shinobu often kisses your cheek when you two are alone or when she’s in a very soft mood.

You usually get kissed on the forehead when you two are just lying in bed or when you need comfort. She will kiss your forehead all while telling you how beautiful you are, how thankful she is to have you here, how much you mean to her, she will list off 100 reasons and more why she loves you so dearly.

Kissing on the nose Shinobu does just to see your nose scrunch up in a adorable manner. She does it to tease you but also because she loves your reaction.

Shinobu loves getting kissed on the corner of her lips, it reminds her to smile. She also likes forehead kisses since she feels so loved when she gets kissed there. Kissing on the cheek is also another yes for her.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

She is great with children! She just got that vibe or friendly aura that makes little kids wanna interact with her. She is so sweet to them, giving them sweet smiles and maybe even candy. Shinobu is great both in the sense that the kids like her but they respect her alot too, she might give that kind aura vibe but also the one were even small kids knows she’s not the one to be messed with. If a kid does have the nerve to act bratty then one glare or angry smile will shut them up or send them crying.

Shinobu knows how to take care of kids in general, some of the patients she gets have kids whether they are older or very young.

But besides all that, yes, Shinobu is great with kids.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

In reality you and Shinobu don’t really wake up at the same time leading to each of you spending your mornings alone and sepretly. The main reason is her being a demon slayer and that she can get called in for a mission very early or you, if you are a demon slayer as well.

But on your day off or in the slim chance you two do get to spend the morning together it usually starts with her waking you up. She is gentle at first but if you don’t wake up soon she might feel a bit mischevious ;)

After you have woken up she’s basically at your hip. You two get dressed together, eat breakfast together and then follow through the rest of your routine together.

At breakfast you two usually talk about whatever comes to mind and after breakfast when you two make finishing touches like skin routine and what not both of you do it in peaceful enjoyable silence

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

The night routine spent with her is as peaceful as it can get

Shinobu has to do some things before going to bed like tucking Sumi, Naho and Kiyo to sleep and doing a checkup that every patient is in bed or doing well before she can go to sleep herself.

Usually you join her when she does these checkups and if you don’t she doesn’t mind and you can just be in her room waiting for her

When she is done with her checkup and can make herself ready for the night you two go to the bathroom to brush your teeth and whatever else you need to do like skin routine.

You two again chat about how the day has been and what you have been doing while Shinobu was gone and vice versa.

The one always wait for the other and when both of you are done you two are joined by the hip to bed!

There Shinobu can sometimes induldge in some late night conversations but if she isn’t in the mood for it or a busy day is waiting then she will go to sleep and force you to do that as well

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?

Small things like different facts about herself is something she has no problems talking about. You just need to ask and sometimes she just lorebombs it but things like her own insecurity and past is a whole nother thing.

Shinobu doesn’t really like the idea of opening up to people, she hates being vulnrable and feeling weak. Plus she is well aware that some people she just can’t open up to

At the start of your relationship she doesn’t really open up much about herself leading to you maybe hearing one or two from others like how she previously had a older sister.

As the relationship goes on she would feel more comfortable sharing things with you and opening up but she wouldn’t just say everything all at once.

She usually reveals one thing slowly as time went on but only when it fits the occassion and when she feels comfortable enough to.

Before she does she always checks with you if you are fine to hear about it. If you are struggling too then she wouldn’t wanna talk about her problems when you are the one needing help.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

It really just depends on her how her day has gone up until that point

Shinobu is really patient but everyone has their limits right?

Proof of her patience is that she can keep up with Inosuke’s shenanigans and Zenitsu’s loud mouth

However like said, everyone has their limits. If something happens like a broken vase or annoying slayer she doesn’t really show her irritation leading to it building up instead and her patience growing thinner by whatever irritating thing that might happen next

At the end of the day some very minor things can just push her over the edge leading to her finally snapping

Of course she always apologizes afterwards

In summary her patience is like something you need to chip at before it finally breaks

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

Shinobu rememberes what she deems as important. What’s your favorite food, what do you like to do, your boundries, do you have any allergy? Stuff like that. But of course Shinobu will remeber the more fun part like what’s your favorite color and animal.

For medical purposes she knows alot about your body, plus what blood type you have. Are you on any medication? Do you have any pills you take? Very very important stuff, she knows too.

Shinobu will make a serious mental note when she sees you wanting something, it could be some clothing, a earring or a necklace, doesn’t matter Shinobu will make sure to remember it and gift it you when the time comes.

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

If you asked her this question she probably would say ”every moment” or that she has so many that she possibly can’t choose.

I don’t really think she ever has a favorite favorite moment that beats every other but just many that share the number 1 place.

The day that either of you confessed is defenitely up there. Romantic dates, funny moments you two had, missions you two have together are defenitely up there.

But she also likes the more quiet and even sad moments. Even if she doesn’t like when you two argue it does help you both gain more understanding eachother in the end and helps you two improve and grow.

That is how she feels deep inside, but she would still give you that answer ”Every moment is our favorite moment”.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

Shinobu is very protective and she has her own reasons, she has lost so many and she can’t bear to loose you too

She would be protective no matter if you are a demon slayer or a citizen.

It doesn't really matter if you're a demon slayer or a citizen, she'll be protective of you anyways

Since you're a demon slayer maybe you can get hurt by demons and if you're a citizen..you can still get hurt by demons. Guess there's no escaping getting hurt by demons.

Usually when you go out at night Shinobu will accompany you no matter what. It's like Shinobu has a sitxth sense or something. When she has a feeling you'll go out at night for whatever reason it's like she just drops everything and bolts to you.

Of course demons are not the only threat, people are too.

If you ever stumble to a suspicious person Shinobu becomes very wary and if that person is starting to bother you then Shinobu will take action.

It usually starts with warning the person to back off and leave you two alone but if the situation escalates then Shinobu will pin the person down or something along the lines of that.

But when she protects you from a demon? She is way more brutal.

She will use one of her most deadliest and painful poison on the demon making sure it suffers greatly for even thinking about hurting you. Doesn't matter if you're a demon slayer or cotizen as said, that demon will feel PAIN.

Shinobu likes to be protected when she knows she couldn't have handle it herself. Let's say a very quick demon snuck up on her and was about to stab her, she would really appreciate it if you came in and protected her. It would save her alot of trouble and death.

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

Shinobu would put in so so much effort, even for the little things.

I am not kidding when she puts her heart and soul into these dates, anniversaries and gifts.

The dates are always peaceful and so romantic. She somehow chooses the places that are unique and not cringe. Even if it’s a cringe scene she still makes it good.

Anniversaries is when she really puts her heart and soul into it. She tries to make it the best for you.

The gifts are always spot on and you don’t even know how. Sometimes you don’t even tell her and she still gets the gift right. If it’s a ring then she will get the exact gold or silver, ring size and even manages with the ore.

I can honestly say that acts of service is one of her love languages so excpect her to do it alot. Sometimes she doesn’t know what to say with words so she shows her love to you with her actions.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

She has the habit of suddenly snapping towards you. Even if you’ve been with her for a long time you still struggle to tell her emotions sometimes. Her smiling face all day can get you mixed signals. If she’s really mad you can see some vein popping but that is not so common.

Sometimes you fail to notice her being in a angry mood and her wanting to be left alone and you unintentioally bugging her can lead her to snap and yell at you. She regrets it immdietly of course and tries her best to apologize.

Shinobu usally snaps when she’s really stressed or just when she has had a hard day. Giving her some tea, doing some of her work or just giving her some space will be appreciated later on.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

Shinobu is mostly concerned about her looks due to the reputation she has to uphold.

That explains why it takes quite a long time until Shinobu is ready for the day. Her hair is silky smooth even if she hasn’t showered for a few days.

Please don’t run your finger through her hair in public, she worked hard to fix her hair!

After the day is over though and the night settles in Shinobu will be less concerned over her looks. At that time it’s only your eyes that stare at her and she knows you think she’s beautiful no matter what.

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

Shinobu would feel incompleate, very much so. You’re that person that went into her heart and went through years of fixing the damages. You filled her heart and bandadged it with great care and for that she feels grateful.

You’re the one she can ground herself to if she ever needs it.

Plus on the battlefieled if you’re a demon slayer no matter your rank you two are a power couple on the field. Your breathing styles compliment each other and Shinobu has to admit with your help taking out the demons is a breeze.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)

To be honest I can see her as someone that would love physical affection from you but won’t really admit it

She hasn’t gotten physical affection from someone she loves with her whole heart and soul

Shinobu needs it once in a while especially on her hard days.

When she feels soft and on a happy mood she will iniate a cuddling session with you, she wants to be the little spoon because she likes being held. Sometimes though she will be big spoon because she likes the feeling of protecting you, it really just depends, it varies alot

Shinobu is not so fond of PDA so if you want to give her physical affection, do it when you two are compleately alone

Shinobu might tease you when you hug or cling onto her but she knows not to ruin the moment

It doesn’t take much to try and tell her what you want, she can read you like an open book

Ok this one might be too common of a headcannon or you’ve probably seen it many times before

But I have a feeling she loves singing. Like just quietly sing to herself, the song usually has a more sentimental meaning behind it since it’s the songs that her sister would sing to her but other than that she loves to sing

Don’t get your hopes up though, it’s not likely she’ll be willing to sing in front of you. Mostly because it’s embarrassing for her. Don’t try to eavesdrop on her either, she’ll know.

But she will sing for you if you’re having a rough day or when she just feels softer y’know?

She’ll most likely sing for the triplets. So if you’re lucky, you’ll find her singing a song to the triplets, Shinobu knows you’re there and will send you a wink or a wave.

Ok I know what I said earlier that it’s not likely for her to sing in front of you but that’s like in the early months of your relationship. As the time passes by I can see her being more confident in singing in front of you.

Another headcannon (I know you’re supposed to pick one but I have passed that limit)

Shinobu LOVES late night conversation

It’s when everyone’s asleep and she doesn’t have to work anymore which means she can talk to you about whatever she wants

Shinobu also feels a little but more like herself since she can talk about the subjects she loves! Of course she will let you talk about subjects you like too. But for her, it can get tiring talking about medical stuff all the times so it’s nice when she can talk about insects (I hc she loves insects too) or different flowers and their meanings.

But late night conversation can turn deep or it turns into her venting to you, of course with your consent.

Shinobu just knows she can talk about deep personal stuff with you because you won’t judge her or anything like that

It’s also the times when she can talk about her sister and the memories she has of her.

Usually it ends with you two cuddling and Shinobu crying.

Shinobu would want a sympethetic person, a kind one and respectful. Shinobu is not big on PDA so when she tells you that, she wants you to respect it. If you still kiss her on the cheek in public or even on the mouth when others are looking you’re gonna start to tread on thin ice. Shinobu holds high respect for her lover but she excpects you to do the same. Her Hashira status still applies to you so please speak respectfully.

Shinobu wants someone that puts in effort to the relationship. Shinobu does not like when she’s the only one that is initiates in dates, gifts or basic affection. If she’s preparing dates or comforting you with soothing words then she wants you to do the same. Shinobu will have her low days and she needs you to comfort her, if you just outright refuses to do so then that is when Shinobu knows you’re not the one. Shinobu sees any relationship as a two-way road and that both parts have to put in a effort to the relationship.

If a argument happens then she wants it sorted out. She will not pretend that nothing happened and she hopes you feel the same. Shinobu strongly believes that communication is the key of any relationship so if any argument happens she wanna talk it out. Sweeping it under the rug won’t make it better so please just talk to her.

Shinobu is the type to in her sleep cuddle up to you in the night and when you point it out to her in the morning she will deny it. Even if the covers are over her body it’s like she feels incompleate without your warmth so she will begin to move towards you and cuddle to your warm body.

If you come home late at night then you can see her hugging your pillow and sometimes even laying on your side of the bed.

SHE WOULD BE SO GOOD AND W HER QUICK REFLEXES TO BOOT SHE WOULD BE SO GODLY DHHDIAWHDW

I just imagine you and Shinobu out on a arcade night, you know those dancing ones where you step on the tiles? You two decided to play that one and you were already good-ish on that game so you thought competitive gamemode would be fun.

She beat you so much, she got every beat right and on timing too. Not long after Shinobu began doing the harder modes to see how long she can keep up and she did. ON. EVERY. SINGLE. HARD. LEVEL.

A crowd soon formed around you two. Prasies and "wows" could be heard and soon, the whole arcade was just around you.

After that wild game you two just went home. You wondered if she could play some mobile rythym games and she could. Projekt sekai was something she was quick to learn about and if you play it too then she caught up to your level pretty quickly after a few days time.

It was simply impossible for her to be bad at a rythym game leading to her beating you everytime. T-T

A/N: Hiiii! Been a while hasn’t it? Anyways I do apologize, I have no idea what more to say but I hope you have all been doing well <3

I will probably not be changing my ”hiatus” status because who knows?

Thank you anon for requesting this was so much fun to write!

I guess this will be a mix of oneshot and headcannon

🦋- You and Shinobu have been together/friends for long, the only ironic thing is not once you had a sleepover. Mostly because you two have different schedule and hobbies so you really never got the time to. Except now

🦋- It was you two’s first sleepover and you were excited to say the least. You decided to sleep at her house

🦋- You guessed she felt more comfortable that way. Shinobu’s mom said Shinobu hasn’t been to a sleepover at someone else’s house often at all. Probably like 2 three times when she was in middle school.

🦋- Anyways when night time came around you two watched a series before going to bed.

“Alright, good night Shinobu!”

“Goodnight Y/N” She said and closed the lights. The room turned dark and you both fell asleep without problems.

“The chicken can wear a dishwasher” Shinobu woke up to someone murmiring about something. She thought her mind was playing tricks on her so she ignored it and went to sleep.

She’s sure she didn’t even get to sleep in 5 minutes before she heard you yell

“THE BUTTERFLIES DRIVE A BUS” She turned over and looked at you still sleeping. It was so dark so she didn’t know if you were awake or not, only that you were there.

“Y/N, if you really think it’s funny to yell weird stuff at 3am then you got another thing coming”

“Nooooooooooo” You replied.

“Yes, I mean it!” She said sternly, not having the energy for this shit at 3am.

“Not my children. Anyone but my children. They just sprouted wiiiiingggsss” Now Shinobu was really creeped out. She quickly understood you were sleep talking.

But then her smile turned devilsih and amused, what more can you say?

“My dog will alert the authorities....YOU SHALL BE DAMMNED”

She quickly grabbed her phone and started recording.

“And why should they be dammned?” Shinobu asked.

“They taught my cat to play the tombone...”

“Ohh, is that so bad?”

“They made my roach deaf” Shinobu had to hold in her giggle, this was way too amusing not to mess around with.

”So uh, do you know sign language for your roach?”

”Noooo…the man in the corner does though” Shinobu’s smile faded and she quickly turned around only to see nothing there. She saw your cheeky smile and wondered if you really were asleep or not.

”Hm, cheeky bastard” Shinobu whispered before she continued on having conversation with your half-concioused self.

After 15 minutes she thought she had enough footatge and she went to sleep.

🦋- Next morning rolled around and she showed the footatge to you in the morning. Depending on if you were aware that you could sleep talk or not your reaction would be kinda different.

🦋- If you knew you just laughed it off and told Shinobu ”I forgot to tell you”

”Y/n. We have been friends for several years, how could you forget to tell me!?” Shinobu would say. She would still keep the footatge though, as blackmail material🥰

🦋- If you did NOT know then you would be in for quite the shocker

”I can sleeptalk?”

”Apperantly hahha! Didn’t you know?” Shinobu’s expression slightly frowned to confusion

”Nope”

Awkward silence ensues..slightly.

🦋- Shinobu would probably ask if you want to maybe get that treated some way and if you’re comfortable with her recording when you do sleep talk.

🦋- If you do wanna get help then obviosuly Shinobu tries to treat you. She looks up ways to treat it and what causes sleeptalking.

🦋- If you don’t however then Shinobu and her sisters will atleast know how to entertain themself when they can’t sleep or when you go asleep early. Shinobu just gathers her sisters to talk to you when you sleep talk, each taking their own turn to talk, one records and later show you the next morning.

Shinobu had been noticing you were laying still for many minutes. She schooched over and listened to your slow but ateady breathing.

”Pst! Hey, hey, are you awake?” No response from you. Shinobu smiled and sneaked away, knocking on each of her sisters rooms.

”Hm? Is Y/N asleep again?” Kanao asked, trailing behind Kanae.

”Mhm, they are. From what I know they should be start talking soon” Shinobu said as she sat down on her knees, Kanae and Kanao each took their own seat on the floor forming a circle almost of 3 people and well, you in the middle of it.

They sat their in silence for a little but before you began to murmur something and Shinobu smiled knowing she was right.

”Noo…noo…don’t go in there, the tuna is dancing” Shinobu nudged Kanao to say something while Kanae just quietly snickered.

”U-uhmm…what dance did the tuna-? Ahem, tuna dance”

”Chicken dance. I think. I can’t seee….” Your worlds trailed off. Kanae thought about what she was gonna say, she scooted closer to say it when she finally got something.

”Is the dance good?”

”Mmmm maybeeeee, I don’t- wanna be meaan” Kanae had to cover her mouth with her hand to prevent herself from laughing.

”It’s amazing how we can have a conversation with them asleep like this” Kanao commented which Kanae agreed to and nodded.

”Well this will certainly not be the end of it” Shinobu said, pulling out her phone.
