Still lots going on. Works been hella busy, and I’ve been back on my workout routine 💪🏻 Got a pedicure yesterday for some self care.

Annnndd big surprise, me end hubby bought a huge as pontoon!!!! It’s pretty old and needs to be cleaned, but it’s in great shape. Has a nice motor and everything. We’re super excited for the summer. Now we just have to figure out where to park the sucker.

Took Brookie bear to the bowling alley. She had such a good time. We hit up the photo booth afterwards!

Also mermaid print water shoes!!

It’s been a busy few days! Went hiking with the husband and stepdaughter at Pinnacle Mountain. The water fall trail was closed so we hiked to the bottom and to a rock cave. She did so so good ❤️ Didn’t complain or ask to be carried. I’ve got an amazing little one!

- Been keeping up with the workouts too! I have to say I’m proud of myself 💪🏻

- Started a new book, written by a friend. It’s Sci-fi, and dang well written. I’m enjoying it.

- Jeff made some awesome bread 🍞

~~Feb 26th, 2021~~

I’m so thankful for friends. I’ve been a little down in the dumps and Morgan invited me out to go to a flea market and hiking. It was spur of the moment and I want 💯 prepared. I’m so glad I went and I’m so glad I pushed myself to the top. It’s been so long since I’ve focused on myself and exercised. I forgot how much endorphins make you feel better. I was so stressed today and it completely helped. It was so creepy. I felt a little bit like I was in a horror movie, it stayed so cool and foggy. So glad it’s getting warmer. Winter really took it out of me this year.

I’m almost done with all of “The institute”. This ending is getting so crazy!!! I’m like there Stephen King is 😂 I’m reading so slow right now. The beginning of the book was pretty good. It drug a tiny bit in the middle. This ending is making it worth getting through. I was prepaired to rate it a 3.5 out of 4 on goodreads. The ending may push it to a four though!

I guess that’s about all I’ve been up to lately. I’ve been pretty dang lazy otherwise. Let’s hope I can move tomorrow 😆

Insomnia diaries - Feb 19th, 2021

Insomnia sucks so bad!!!!! Being stuck at the house all week again has completely switched my sleeping schedule. I can’t freakin sleep 😡 I only took a three hour nap today, after staying up all night last night so that I would sleep tonight. Well that back fired. I’ll have to stop and get some melatonin it looks like.

At least we’re going to see Brookie Bear today ❤️ I can’t wait to play on the snow with her. It’s going to be such a fun weekend I can feel it, and snow should be gone in time to go to work Monday!!!

Today has been so fun 🤩 Got the four wheel drive out and headed to the casino. Lost about 150 each on blackjack, but had about an hour of playtime. I wish they had some five dollar tables and I could play all day! I think that’s what I want to do for my birthday ❤️ Get a hotel at a casino that has a five dollar table in tunica or Helena. That would be so much fun!!

Hogs won against Florida tonight!! Tournament here we come!!!

We’re supposed to get another 8 or ten inches of snow tonight and tomorrow. I’m glad we got out one last time before we get snowed in again for a few more days. Let’s hope it’s just more snow and we keep power 👏🏼👏🏼

I guess this is turning into more of a cooking blog than an exercise or reading blog at the moment. Made some pizza dough from scratch with the new kitchen aide mixer. Delicious 🤤😋

Holy moly so much snow in Arkansas right now. We’re completely snowed in. Luckily, we had plenty of warning and stocked up on some groceries. Thank god it’s just snow, so there’s no ice in the power lines. Just having electrical surges from it being so cold. Cleaned the whole house before the weather came in so it’s been fun. Not going to be singing that after getting MORE snow that won’t melt until Sunday. Even got the Yukon out for some snow fun! Too cold to make snow angels or a snow man 😆

Made a freaking delicious pot pie and some brownies tonight. I have a link for the brownies. They were so good!😋

Happy Valentine’s Day to me 😃😃😃 Got a new Kitchen Aid mixer. Plus all the stuff needed to bake. That’s actually what means the most. That he put enough thought into the little stuff 🥰❤️ He knows he’s not an easy man to deal with 😂 but I tell you there is no one so loyal and thoughtful. It’s so different than my previous marriage. He always puts mine and his daughter’s needs before his own. Of course it’s not all sunshine and roses, but I always feel respected. He’s fallen asleep beside me watching TV as I write this 🥰 Dang Valentine’s Day is getting to me 😂

Made white chicken enchiladas for supper, and watched the Princess Bride on Disney Plus this afternoon. Anyone love that movie as much as I do? In the words of Gandpa “It has it all!!”.

Finally got the cabin back, after it being rented out for two years!! Nothing seemed to go right, but it was so fun!

February 5th, 2021

Finally free from quarantine!!!!!!!!!! The husband contracted Covid two weeks ago. Thank goodness he didn’t have to be hospitalized. Four days of high fever, and slight cough. Taste and smell are just now came back a couple days ago. I mangaged to stay healthy thanks to the Phizer vaccine ❤️🎉 Still had to quarantine for ten days. Two covid test later I’m back at work now.

I was able to work from home, but I’ve never been so bored in my life!!! I started getting a little depressed. Since I wasn’t getting out for work, I found it hard to do anything but watch TV. The Arkansas Razorbacks had a few basketball games and gymnastics meets that raised the excitement level. Lost one basketball game, and did great in gymnastics. Once Jeff gotntonfeeling better we even smoked some ribs and a brisket 😋

I missed listening to podcast and audiobooks on my commute to work, and seeing patients in person. What I missed the most was my coworker in the front desk with me. Jessica is turning into a great friend ❤️

It was so difficult not seeing my stepdaughter. I could only imagine how hard it was for Jeff. We didn’t miss out this weekend though. I got off work at noon and ran some errands. We had wonderful weather, so I seized the day and did a quick detail of my car. Then off to pick up the step daughter Brooklyn. Had some family time playing a couple games together. Brooklyn’s tucked in bed sleeping as I write this.

Can’t wait for what the rest of the weekend brings.

What a wonderful weekend. Had some holiday festivities, wrapped presents for the Step Daughter, spent time with my dad and went shopping. Found a couple cute sweaters, and some boots. Also got new a puffy winter coat.

My Ugg slippers came in and they’re so comfortable. Feels like little clouds on my feet ☁️ Bought a new high end eyeshadow pallet, so I’m feeling pretty fancy. It’s so nice to be able to spend money again. Never thought I’d be financially stable. Your life can change so much in a year.

Made some homemade pot pies! They turned out delish 🤤😋 Had some very Betty Crocker vibes the weekend.

Enjoyed getting back in time to watch the end of the Razorback basketball game with Dad and the Hubby. WPS!!!!!! I really like their coach ❤️ 🏀⛹️‍♀️ It’s always a good time. Who would’ve thought the two males would rather watch basketball, than shop 😂 They had some good bonding time.

Currently reading “The Institute” by Stephen King. I’m enjoying it, but not as much as Carrie. It’s a about these Telekinetic and telepathic kids are being kidnapped, and taken to this government complex. Terrified, they’re subjected to all sorts of unknown shots and test. I’ll have to rate it when I finish it.

Well I better close this out. Had such a nice relaxing weekend. Having a lot more of that this year due to COVID. Work comes way early when you have to drive and hour and fifteen minutes.

A spin off of a recipe for cream cheese chicken soup I found on Pinterest ❤️ Turned out yummy 😋 I used cheese tortellini noodles instead of potatoes (which potatoes would be good too) and veggies. I bet some gnocchi instead would be good too.

Look who came to see me today!! Tank the neighborhood dog. I’m not sure who he belongs to, but he stops by at least once a week to say hello and check on us ❤️ 20/10 would recommend this puppers!

Started the weekend off with a little garden work and cooking. I’ve been trying to get frying potatoes right. I’m almost there. It’s a lot harder than you think 😂

Poor Jeff’s back is hurting so bad, and he has to work tomorrow. So I’m a little bummed about that. Doing my best to take care of him. Just glad it’s not the dreaded man-flu. Joking of course, he’s so amazing. I know he wants to take me out for something special this weekend, but doesn’t want to disappoint. I’m afraid he will go with his back hurting, just to make me happy. I’m okay with staying in and recoiperating if he needs it.

So hopefully some fun surprises on this short weekend.
