I am not out here to shame anyone for liking the sequel trilogy, we are all allowed to like what we like. However, my dislike of the sequels stems from the lazy writing, fractured narrative, mischaracterization, sidelined mains, and caveats made with character abilities and motivations in order to recover a quickly patched ending. From my perspective, some of these qualities are returning in the Disney+ shows. Maybe in order to incorporate sequel lore, or for some other reason. Thoughts on this?

Anyone else hate the overly pompous horse’s ass you have to act like to get anywhere in college/grad school/life? Or is that just me? Like there is no accommodation for anyone who acts differently than Todd “I’m a white extrovert and my dad’s a politician”. I remember getting older and becoming increasingly dissatisfied with the books I read. It always irritated me when there was a love triangle, and it still does. Because 9 times out of 10 that love triangle is there to create needed story conflict. Due to the fact that many published YA authors post Hunger Games don’t realize that a good plot doesn’t write easily, and good characterization is more than writing about a 16 year old girl with some minor physical flaw that falls in love with two men at the same time during the apocalypse.

If you’re ever worried about writing/making characters out of character in your fanworks. Just remember that the writers and creators of Dark Phoenix did it to their own CANON characters just to try and make the lukewarm Jean Grey storyline work, when it didn’t work the first time.

Can someone please explain the “Naruto dies in the Boruto manga” stuff going on right now? Like is it fact or rumor. I heard that kishi and the other writers were contemplating it, but I am seriously so done with writers killing off their mains/fav characters for a shaky plot decision. Naruto was my gateway drug into fandoms, and I cannot seriously handle another major character death right now. It seems like everyone has been doing it and it seriously annoys me at this point. I don’t know how popular Boruto is in Japan, but I get the impression that the majority of the tumblr side of the Naruto fan base would stop watching/reading if Naruto died.
