So I’ve seen a lot of posts about divination by dice, but I thought I’d make my own post about my personal method to inform others.
(It’s basically like tarot, so ask tarot-like questions. No yes-or-no questions, at least in my practice.)
💠Die can be used in spreads, like tarot or oracle spreads, or spreads created on your own. Generally won’t work with spreads that require cards to be stacked for obvious reasons.
💠You can shuffle them in any way you like. In your hand, hit them against something (be gentle), put them in something and shake them. Basically whatever way you want to.
💠You can do them one by one, if you’re asking separate questions, like for spreads, or you can cast them. Which means you just throw them haphazardly like casting bones and runes.
💠I use regular six-sided die but you can use any sided-amount you want. Each number has an association. The associations are a bit broader than tarot, so you have to think a little harder to apply them to your situation, but once you get used to it, it’s about as hard as any other form of divination.
💠Listed below are my own personal number associations. Feel free to use mine, or come up with your own. I recommend coming up with your own, as it gives you a deeper bond with the practice and a better understanding. But if you don’t want to, I have associations for 1-6, since I only use six-sided die.
Astragalomancy is a form of divination that uses dice marked with letters, numbers, or symbols, and astrological astragalomancy is specifically 3d12 marked with the planets, constellations, and houses! These dice are commonly known as “astro-dice.”
Info in my Planets/Constellations/Houses sections are from The Only Astrology Book You’ll Ever Need ad from Astro-Charts.com 😊
