Hi 👀 it’s been wayyyy too long, but I’m finally done with school and am taking a gap year so I have MUCH more time to write and I think I’m finally getting my motivation back!! I’m thinking about starting a San Andreas/2012/Dante’s peak AU but idk who I should write in it and idk which movie to pick. All of them are so good and I do love my angst 🤔

Edit: if you didn’t know, all three of these are natural disaster movies. Dante’s peak and 2012 were definitely movies that traumatized me as a kid, but they’re so good and so so so so angsty. Here’s some info about the 3 if you haven’t seen them:

San Andreas is definitely the least angsty out of this selection. There’s no major character deaths, and is mostly about finding love again through disaster. If you couldn’t tell by the name, it’s about the San Andreas fault line in California, so this one is only about earth quakes and like, one tsunami lmao.

Dante’s peak is a movie I haven’t seen in a while, but oh boy. This one is also about a family, and people do die. The reason I don’t have this as the most angsty, is because there are less deaths in it than 2012. It’s also mostly about volcanos. I don’t remember a lot of it, so I’ll rewatch it and update this once I do.

2012 is literally one of the most insane movies I’ve ever seen and it’s the one that facilitated my fear of natural disasters. This one covers literally any natural disaster known to mankind, but they’re all 100x worse and there are so many major deaths. The scariest part about this movie is that it’s possible and nature could just decide to fuck us over like that one day. It’s also about a family, go figure, but follows many different perspectives over the course that eventually end up in the same place. I will say, at least 1 person from each of those perspectives does die, sometimes even more than that, so this will be angst galore.

So yeah, please let me know cause I’m in desperate need of writing material and I’m feeling burnt out from writing smut.
