Ok this is more important but I forgot to include this earlier because I was distracted over his model lol, but the confusion surrounding the story-mode conflicts with his initial character synopsis (him being on vacation, etc). If anyone wants to fill me in though, you're most welcome to. and err, this also falls under spoilers, so I'll cut this here too.

Is it not odd that Dragunov entered the tournament whilst off-duty?? No one ordered him to like before, he just wilfully entered by his own accord. Okay. Later he and a few others get recruited to fight on Kazuya's/G corp's behalf via Nina. Bryan Feng and Azucena are just doing whatever they want for their own gain, but for Dragunov to just shrug his shoulders and tag along because idk, ''meh, i'm bored, got nothing better to do'' without any solid reason just seems so ooc lol....It's even more especially odd considering the Russian military were fighting *against* Kazuya and Mishima Zaibatsu.. so...um...Dragunov, bro...didn't you just... commit treason...?! x'D... Of course, I'd then say 1: either he was forced at gunpoint or 2: it was reconnaissance, a secret mission or something of that nature. However, that would contradict him being on leave and anyway, committing treason is vastly ooc for a miltary based character that 'likes taking orders' and 'is loyal to his motherland' (!!!) In the Kazuya (bad) ending, Azucena is indifferent. She goes from serving Leroy in the photo, to serving Dragunov

Look at him xD he looks displeased or bored, as I said. Like he's questioning his life's choices. Maybe he went rogue in this scenario... In fact it looks like he went from being a Special ops/Spetsnaz commander to.. paid mercenary. By enemy #1: Kazuya, no less. How the white angel of death has fallen from grace. Well, anyways, what am I saying. It's Tekken pft. The story outside the main cast was never important, we know this. And I know it's silly and contradicts itself a lot but I like to point out the holes to pacify the OCD lol. I'm content to just say that he had to postpone his leave due to a change in plans, was ordered to join the tournament, got a nice cut and went back to enjoying his time off after all was said and done. ....But uh, yeah. So much for 'being on vacation' and having a to-do list and all that.

About T8 Dragunov since I think enough time has passed to lay out some thoughts: (small spoiler under cut incase people are still playing) I think we can all collectively agree T8 Dra is Peak Dra. He is, as of writing, now #1 in the useage/popularity ranking for the top 10k players~ even after being nerfed recently. But even with those nerfs, he's more balanced now. Obviously, there are some things missing design-wise which no one should be okay with -shake fist-. The scars are just the top of the list. But I'm also sad that his uniform is not an alternate costume or something. This is a small thing (literally) but ..I'm also not ok with the nipples. Okok, I get the whole copy pasting of the body sculpts, but bruh... what the hell.. Like others have jokingly said, they look bleached. Also they're impossibly tiny, they look like they're about to disappear along with his scars. I liked the detail that went into T7's body sculpt far more, but to give credit where credit is due; they put a lot of focus into the faces! And fucking, FINALLY, they did something about his goddamn hair and ponytail. It looks so much more natural and like actual hair TT_TT <3 It was one of my forever gripes with his design, now not! haha. T7's was a major step-back from T6's. There are other things they did with his face that I freaking love, but it's just the little details, lest I gush even more. And as much as I love his ending, I think they should have included his leather notebook on the coffee table or something;

it would be apparent then that his difficult goal was to collect/build all those limited edition tanks. Missed opportunity? Well, not as much as his missing scars but eh..... nu vot. 😒

I've been holding onto some of these wips for nearly a year now, but... I decided eh, the hell; let's post them, with small commentary in the cut. (I already have Leon and RPH up in my blog already so you can search them separately)

Bayo was the first and most ambitious...Her and Dragunov are the ones put on hiatus the longest...since february last year. I would have done Dragunov ages ago but I'm scared of fucking up his hair lol rn it's his ponytail that I'm OCD about. I learned how to sew jackets from that one though; bc of that I was able to recently make Dante relatively easier, although it was a pain in the ass to make Dragunov's blazer bc of all the trial and error.. And Dante's coat was pretty fun to make so far...His arms are not attached to the body; I just fit them through the sleeves x'D Ada is almost finished; I haven't attached the back hair pieces. making templates for hair/clothes is so frustrating and is probably why I procrastinated on them for this long argh. Photo quality ate the details since the lighting is shitty. And they're all approx 5"/13cm tall just to explain how small I'm working with lol. I would make them bigger, but it uses up more resources which are hard to get, especially certain colours. low quality options are aplenty tho ugh

I have way too many ideas on how these 2 express themselves to one another, really...it has to do with how I view their character, and since both are very reserved, they're kinda moody deep down in my book (especially him) hurrhurr. And I have headcanons about Ada, so hence why she's emotional: Ada, who couldn't allow herself to be closer to Leon, has ultimately found herself falling for the stoic Commander.  Perhaps guilt kept her from being transparent to Leon whom in comparison is a trademark "Good Guy".. Unlike herself. Leon deserves someone who is open and can actually be there for him without endangering his life, she tells herself. But with Dragunov, who says close to nothing, can read her and know that she is no different from himself - a weapon that follows orders and ignores their own desires...for a greater good or for a higher purpose of another, whatever that may be. 

But alas, Ada is as she once said - just a woman...that fell in love.  And Dragunov for all his pride and worth is still just a man with his own desires... probably feeling that and relating to another for the first time.  Well, that's the gist of it anyway, without dumping a whole ass fic I write for myself for the past decade lmfao;; ... ooOOOOooo so ooc you say? It could be worse. *coughs*

Would like to add that IDF/m0ssad doesn't represent the 1sraeli/jewish people, much like any organisation/world government doesn't represent it's people (if at all??) despite claiming to be. Innocents have always been the victim and used like pawns pit against another to achieve a murderous anti-human agenda throughout entire human history. I barely slept last night due to the reveal of this wonderful creature haunting my mind but-- Ughnn, the in-game shots are just...his face is perfect..So razor sharp. He ages like fine wine. even though I'm pretty sure he's only, what, a year older lmao;; But I love that they made him more intense and scowly, how I try to envision him; that's totally a thing I'm always guilty of drawing hahahh;; Btw, I love his new fit. The casual look suits his description and it makes sense. He's on break, somewhere cold, his rage art is heavily ice themed; His outfit makes me wonder if he isn't into hunting, especially with that fang necklace. Best believe his T8 ending is going to be something related to that ''difficult goal'' he wants to achieve on vacation, I'm calling it x'D Because it's Namco, it'll probably be something lulzy and random, bonus points if he says a word though. But anyway, ugh, gotta love it. I can't get over his faceeee, I'm so happy with how he turned out. They took the peak design of T6 and TTT2 (totally unbiased here lol) and created this stern, vampiric beauty ugh. UGH. Small gripe; I just wish his lips were a tiny bit fuller :3 but I'll gladly take him like this. And the description has me even more amused! I mentioned in a previous post how I associate his blue and black coats with Vergil's style, and now his pants and skull motif remind me of Dante aahh would have went with something more desaturated rather than purple or the red accents but i'll live but ARGH an old vintage bound notebook too <3?! Oh c'mon.. it's just screaming at me to draw crossover art (another thing that has me written all over it haaaa)

And, well.. I've drawn Dra in Sergei Vladimir's outfit that sparked stupid RE au ideas in my head of an Umbrella soldier Dragunov with Sergei Vladimir as his uncle/senior commanding officer, so why not a DMC one, too?? lmao. Crossovers are a great way to incorporate all my fandoms simultanously since it evens out my time and attention to them, but also I just love them! I always find similarities between my favourite characters and it's hard to ignore as a fan. Anyway, that's me gushing done. My mind flatlined upon seeing this shot in particular for a good 12 hours. I just fucking love how his face is sculptured.. God he better have another aristocratic alt costume haha

Hey, I want to say thanks for the supportive messages recently. It's really uplifting and I'm grateful for the encouragement, thank you. Good karma to you all.

I know I'm pretty reserved about everything but such simple gestures as well as the reblogs are greatly appreciated at this time... (honestly, I try to keep my blog focused on art and not bring irrelevant drama into it even though many times I feel like endlessly ranting but I end up stifling it all by internally head-desking my rage back into a numb condition ugh)

recently my little gecko's tiny battery finally ran flat. Honestly, Idk how such a tiny heart could keep it up for 19-20 years. I am quite sad about his passing and I understand for most it's so 'whatever' but it's just...the fact I grew up with him always being there. So much has happened and he was there for that long; it's weird that he even died...It's stupid to think he would live forever, hell, his species was only meant to live for 5 years but it's like ''what if he could be even older...''. Although, I had many anxious dreams of him dying in the past year so subconsciously I must have known his time was coming. Old age made him inappetant and that in turn caused his systems to crash and burn. Even the process of his death took a week, like...damn son, you have too much energy in this life, go and rest finally....it got to a point I just wish he would die sooner because you know it's coming and it's just sad to see him slowly lose his strength and suffer in that weakness. Amazing little thing. I will miss you. ..Ofc, there are other things I probably should have talked about before, but I never do for the aforementioned reason. Well, I guess there was that head-on collision I was in 2 years ago while going to work... shit fucked up my back and neck for a week bc some dumbass decided to run a red light, but I guess posting about my gecko's demise is more significant. After all, I'm alive.. but he isn't... ;_;

Thank you to @pzycho391 for the ko-fis recently! although I struggled to paint something of merit so this came out delayed.. was painting another one but it wasn't coming out right, so have this one instead :'D..

Hopefully he doesn't look too weird since i'm trying out new things cough forcing myself to use more colour masks T_T;; trying to get better at painting without lines too.. I still feel art-blocked due to urge to change my technique... I'm consuming so many painting tuts all year - trying to implement new ways to paint along with what I'm used to and it's clashing. And yes, I'm aware of the leaks. From what I can tell -squints at pixels- he looks ever the dark horse~ yayy he is evolving to match my style rather than me having to adjust it to match references lol -bricked-
