Simon followed along after her, amused by the idea. “My name is Simon by the way, Simon Gillbert.” he introduced himself.

“You would do that?” he asked, honestly surprised that  anyone would offer. He nodded slowly, gaining a little more courage. “Thank you.” he replied softly. “That means a lot to me.” 

Her nose twitched, something that occurred when she was thinking. She wanted to help him; he was kind, unlike her. “I can go with you if you like, I need to apologize for the things I did as well.” She explained and looked at him with a small smile. She remembered that he looked good when he smiled. So she would try and get him to be himself.

Sour Patch made a small whining noise as he tried to step towards Simon– the cast was certainly something to get used to. He frowned only for a moment, but it wasn’t even on account of Simon. He then looked up when he felt he was close enough. He gave a soft expression, not necessarily a smile but definitely not a blank look. “Of course, I want you to.”

The candy fished out a pink permanent marker out of his pocket. “My papa says when something goes wrong or someone does something bad, he expects me to be the sweetest I can be. There’s enough sour in the world to last FOREVER. But only so much sweetness!”

Simon hesitated to take the marker from him. He stared down at it almost absentmindedly. He looked up for a moment  before nodding. “That sounds like something my pa would say.” he replied softly. He hesitated a moment before deciding to sing it like he was requested to. 

“I’m..I’m really sorry about what happened. I know you probably will never forgive me, but I really am.” he confessed, a quiver in his voice as he spoke.

Even though he didn’t say anything, the gesture had brought him a little comfort. He shook his head honestly. “I haven’t talked to him.” he said, still looking down at the floor. “I’m afraid to.” he said, his voice shaky. 

Ivy nodded in understanding and gently, almost hesitantly patted his back. The action made her slightly uncomfortable, she felt uneasy with the gesture. “Did you apologize to him?” Sometimes, apologizing helped bridge the gap to friendship. Ivy felt bad for him. Simon obviously cared for others.

Simon blinked in surprise and flinched back a little. “I..uh..no not exactly..” he said, skittishly.

Veronika frowned, but her expression became soft in concern. “You know…you should check yourself out with the paramedics, if you haven’t already. They’re still here,” she said.

Simon nodded numbly, “I..I think I’ll be alright.” he promised her. It wasn’t himself that he was concerned about. No, it was the others he knew he had hurt.

shen saw simon’s attempted smile, and his resolve grew stronger. he dredge up a smile that he hoped looked reassuring. “ what, a big ole’ softie gator like you ?? i don’t think so, my man. ” he brought his hand up, resting it on simon’s shoulder. “ it wasn’t you, my dude. ”

Simon had wanted to believe him but he couldn’t bring himself to. He had heard about what happened even if he wasn’t aware of it in the moment. “No it’s true. I.. I heard that I hurt someone.” he said, swallowing hard.

Ivy didn’t understand. If he was under the sea witches control, what he did wasn’t his fault. “What did you do Simon?” She questioned, she cocked her head to the side. “You know that it wasn’t really you right?” He couldn’t have intentionally hurt someone, she figured he didn’t have the chops. People who could just blindly injure the innocent had a way about them.

Simo gulped before continuing. “I hurt this one guy pretty badly.” he said, almost shuddering at the thought. He knew that it hadn’t been his fault but he couldn’t help but feel guilty. He gave people a reason to be afraid of him now, which was something he never wanted.

Sour Patch was trying to remain in high spirits. He was determined to! If not him, then who could? He was Sour Patch, one of the sweetest candies in Sugar Rush! Still, he winced and sniffled as he tried to adjust to the cast that came to his mid calf. He had broken his ankle (he didn’t remember much of the attack… just alligator jaws and a very loud crunching sound). He struggled to balance on his crutches, though he was adamant on learning how to use them on top of using a wheelchair.

His name was Simon Gillbert. The alligator who– no, not who hurt Sour Patch, but fell prey to Ursula. The candy went in search of him and when he found the other… he was a little disheartened. “Hi…” he started, wobbling on his crutches but still flashing a small smile, “– My name’s Sour Patch… Did you want to sign my cast?”

Ursula using his Alligator traits against him had made him feel sick. People thinking that they were dangerous was what had gotten his mother killed in the first place. When he had seen the other he felt turly horrible. He couldn’t believe he had done such an awful thing even if he hadn’t done it consciously. 

What he didn’t expect was the other to be so friendly towards him. Him running in the other direction was more of what he was expecting. He stared at the cast on his arm before looking up at him. “You.. you would want me to?” he asked in disbelief.

Kenneth hummed quietly before deciding to offer the boy a hand. He put his hand out and spoke. “I can take you over to the medics tent if you want? They’re all set up outside, taking people to hospital.”

Simon had wanted to go with the other but he didn’t move a muscle nor respond to the offer. “It’s.. okay. You shouldn’t waste your time on me, there are other people who need help.” he encouraged softly, mostly he sounded defeated.

So Simon waits to propose to her in New Orleans while they are visiting. They are on a balcony overlooking the bayou and the sky is full of stars when he bends down on one knee. 

They get Louis’ approval immediately as well as Tinana and Naveen’s! 

They get married in The bayou and everyone decorates it with flowers and the fireflies are shining like lights. It’s almost like Tiana and Naveen’s wedding and just GSjfjks it’s beautiful okay?? 

Salem is the maid of honor and Shen is the best man ( @salcmx @shxnlxng )

Dexter is the one to walk her down the aisle. ( @dexterxagma )

Simon thinks she looks incredible when he first see’s her 

Simon’s vows are super heartfelt and he tries not to cry while giving them

Louis is a mess and cries during the whole entire thing. During the reception he hugs Ivy and welcomes her to the family and Simon’s so embarrassed but Ivy doesn’t seem to mind. 

The reception is at Tiana’s place and of course she cooks all the food and has made them this incredible cake 

A live band plays during the reception and they play this pretty Jazzy song that Ivy and Simon share a first dance to

Salem is the one to catch the bouquet 

The two of them drive away in this adorable old fashioned car That was given to them as a wedding present!
