at 2am the world is bloody and warm like a human carcass, turned inside out, free to the air, the stars; in this moment I am half me half someone else, this strange wildness that gnaws at my insides and eats me whole.
This story is not new–it is one I have told hundreds of times and one I will tell again and god, I want to know how they’ll tell my story.
will they speak of distant lands, the sapphire city beyond the horizon, of aching deserts full of sand, of the stratified skies above my hometown, the bloodshot red, bruised yellow?
will they tell of a thousand german christmas markets, tinker toy dolls in a row and nutmeg permeating each crevice, of the churches in the south of slovakia that bend and twist in storms but never fall?
or will they tell of me, more itch than girl, hunched over the knife of my own fallibility, shivering, naked, on the hard floor? will I look down, embarrassed, only to see your eyes watching from across the room?
and in that moment I will be divided against myself, no more me than you, no more human than mirror, endlessly reflecting the millions of futures set out in front of me to burn through. -NOTES I FOUND ON MY PHONE PT 1 (l.m.e. 3/2/16)

A lot of people ask me what my biggest fear is, or what scares me most. And I know they expect an answer like heights, or closed spaces, or people dressed like animals, but how do I tell them that when I was 17 I took a class called Relationships For Life and I learned that most people fall out of love for the same reasons they fell in it. That their lover’s once endearing stubbornness has now become refusal to compromise and their one track mind is now immaturity and their bad habits that you once adored is now money down the drain. Their spontaneity becomes reckless and irresponsible and their feet up on your dash is no longer sexy, just another distraction in your busy life. Nothing saddens and scares me like the thought that I can become ugly to someone who once thought all the stars were in my eyes.

Oracia on the OR circuit, am I right? @smartassfeminist
I just want a cute debater boy to date me so we can bounce ideas off each other and cuddle while cutting evidence. I want a boy who is amazingly intelligent. A guy that can assert his power with his brain not with his “muscles” when I find this guy I will marry him.

can't tell if the misspelling of grammar was intentional in context...
People who use the word “literally“ for something that can’t be literal is the reason I want man kind to be extinct.

Growing up my family always said I was a “happy baby” I wondered, “How could they know I’m happy when my highest form of communication was comparable to mindless babbling?” When I was 7 I asked my mom, “How do you know?” She told me “Honey, it’s in the curve of your smile.” And that was that
When I was 10 I asked my Granny, “How do you know?” She smiled and I smiled back She said “You see that? Every time you smiled, someone smiled back.” And I let her be
When I was 14 I asked my dad “How do you know?” He paused, Searching to give me the answer I’d been looking for He broke a smile The words, like a river, flowed out of him “The minute you were born, your mindless sobbing resonated like mindless laughter. Three years later, your mindless laughter was all we ever heard. Every time I changed your diapers, You smiled at me and I couldn’t help but smile back Your love was infectious. Sometimes your mom and I would banter, But when we looked at you Our anger melted away. You smiled as a greeting. You laughed to say hello. I remember, Your first day at head start You walked in smiling The other kids flocked to you You were the first sheep to jump off the cliff and the rest of them followed I slept better at night knowing you were smiling. It is said that we have over 100 different smiles, Each for a different occasion. I know that by the end of your lifetime you will discover every damn one. You were never fully dressed without your smile Even when the hard knocks of life leave you on the ground, You pull yourself up by the ends of your smile and keep on going.” And that was that
