RIP, CmarNYC

I’m very sad to report that Sims 3 and 4 creator CmarNYC passed away in October 2023. For 15 years, Simmers benefited from Cmar’s long-honed computing skills as she created much-loved modders’ and players’ tools, including the Sims 3 and 4 MorphMakers and Skininators, the TS4 SimRipper, the Sims 3 XCAS core mod, and many CAS sliders. She was also a contributor to S4PE, which likely was used by creators you rely on. Without Cmar’s work, the Sims franchise would have had a much less rich array of mods and custom content. She will be greatly missed.

As well as Sims, Cmar loved cats, and donations are suggested to the ASPCA, the TinyKittens Society, or an animal-related charity near you.

Set Family Relationships Mod

One of the features I love about MC Command Center is the ability to add relationships. It allows you to add siblings and parents to desired sims. However, you cannot add cousins, uncles, aunts, grandchildren or grandparents yet. This mod allows you to add those relationships! I use it to add cousins since the game only recognizes first cousins in the relationship panel by default.

To use the mod, click on the desired sim and click on the Set Family Relationships Menu. Here, you can add or remove relationships (parents are not included because I couldn’t get the family tree to update the way MCC grandparents and siblings worked). For example, if you click on a sim, you can make them your active sim’s grandparent by clicking “Set as Grandparent”. 

To Install: Unzip the included package and script files directly into your Sims 4 mods folder.

(Only in English for now, but hope to change for future releases).

Functional Wall Phone

• free. always

• can be used by children-elder

• includes most cellphone interactions

• incoming calls can be toggled on and off by shift-clicking. if calls are enabled, phone will ring about once a day. calls include telemarketer, NPC you know would like to come over, Landgraab Power Company shutting off your power, prank call, 'unknown' caller. will add more calls in future. suggestions welcome

• some interactions will be greyed out until requirements are met (i.e. your sim needs a romantic relationship to be able to ask someone on a date)

• animation isn't perfect but i hope it's good enough

• ts2 and ts3 phone require main package (awingedllama_FunctionalWallPhone) to work

i want to do table phones as well, but i'm figuring out the best way to go about it

note for creators: you can copy/edit my tuning as much as you like and make it your own, but if you want to create a functional phone using mine as a base, please link back to this post. i have no tou, but in case something breaks in a patch, people should have the updated version

In the default game, the equestrian center is only open from 7am - 7pm. This mod allows the equestrian center to be open 24 hours.

In the default game, you can only enter one horse competition per day. This mod removes the competition cooldown to allow you to enter as many horse competitions as you'd like, back to back.

Anyone Can Submit Magazine Covers: https://legacy.curseforge.com/sims4/mods/anyone-can-submit-magazine-covers…

With the Moschino Stuff Pack, photographers can click on the photos that they have taken and submit them to become magazine covers. The approved covers are mailed back to the photographer. With this mod, anyone (not just photographers) can submit photos on their home lot to become magazine covers.

With the Moschino Stuff Pack, photographers can click on the photos that they have taken and submit them to become magazine covers. It takes 24 hours for the covers to be approved, and then them are mailed the next mail day after the 24 hour period ends. With this mod, magazine covers are approved within 2 hours instead of 24 hours.

Now, has a required script file and new file called "SetFamilyRelationshipsPT2".

If you use the optional addon called "simsmodelsimmer_ADDON_SetFamilyRelationshipsActionsPieMenu", the menus & interactions will appear under the Actions menu.

Willow Creek and Newcrest Made Clickable

Here's a little demo in an unmodded game to show it works

This simple mod makes the entire world clickable, allowing you to place objects anywhere with TOOL. Right now i've only done Willow Creek and Newcrest.

As mentioned, sims will walk in the street and occasionally route in odd ways, but it shouldn't cause any problems in your game beyond that!

My apologies everyone. There were changes made to the mod when I exported using the new MC beta and I had to fix coding manually in Sims4Studio. There are now two required files (“simsmodelsimmer_Set Family Relationships.package” and “simsmodelsimmer_SetFamilyRelationships_Relationships(REQUIRED).package”).

The mod no longer uses any script files and relies exclusively on the XML Injector. If you are interested in the process of how I tested and fixed the mod, please watch here: https://youtu.be/cPxEEantQKY

Studio updates for infants & Growing Together

Hi all, Studio Star (Windows) and Aurora (Mac) are updated for the infants patch and the Growing Together expansion pack. Both versions include a batch fix for non-default and default replacement eyes to update them for use with infants. Please note, due to the length of the CAS batch fix list, you may have to scroll down to see this batch fix.

hello! would you be interested in releasing a little tutorial/guide on how to convert default skins for infants? i understand if you don't feel like it!

of course! it goes without saying that you need sims 4 studio (s4s) of course. also a photo editing program, you can use photopea for free! open s4s at the top click tools > create empty package. you should see this! click on add at the very bottom left...

line by line, copy and paste all the information down below into the "add" box that just popped up. Change the "type" to LRLE image, keep the group as is (it should be a bunch of 0s), and type in the instance numbers. (Ignore the red oval for now!) Make sure to double check! Save your package file!

Now all you need to do is important the images of the skin. All sim textures take up exactly the same amount of space and all their features are proportioned in the exact same spots so you can take any skin blend and slap it on top of a base and import it and you're done! The red oval above is the chubby state for infants and the other 3 are just default/average body states. (Even though I found like 8 separate instances of infant skin, only 1 was chubby and the rest default body states. The other 4 files didn't seem to change anything in CAS, I don't know why though!)

If you want to make more realistic alpha skin you'll need to make your own entirely from scratch, mix and match, or use another creators. (Even though all creators have open TOUs per EA's own TOU you should probably still ask just to be nice and absolutely give credit to them. And by credit I mean mention their name and/or link to their page, not any of that goofy "credits to all creators" nonsense!)

❗ Postnotes: ❗ The instances for all the other ages didn't seem to change, so there's no need to update, only add-on. Also instead of creating a new package you can just add-on to an existing package file. It's just easier and safer to start brand new
