This is a late update but the other week I finally finished SNK season 4... like, it was so good seeing stuff from the manga being animated and the voices. The music score was brilliant. I wouldn't change a thing about the anime, I enjoyed it, art appreciation wise.

My birthday was also last Saturday, and although my 20s aren't even over yet, it feels like it is, with my completion of SNK the anime. I watched the anime since I was 19 and also got into the manga year 2013, made this account summer 2013.

And woof, it's 2024 now! I'm just at a loss of words for what else to say, a lot of people have more eloquent ways of describing their experience with the final season than me, but I'm just so blessed to have been around during the prime and hype of the fandom, and to still be around for its finale and world fame, not just geographically, but demographically too. I know a lot of people from different walks of my life including kids and adults who enjoy and appreciate SNK.

That's it, that's the post. I wish I had time to explore AU Beach Petra life, where she's the daughter of a gelato business owner and whatnot. For now I'll stick to longing for gelato and the beach, living life with Petra vibes.

NOTIFICATION BUG FIXED

i just wanted to let everyone know that the staff has, in fact, fixed the notification bug that a vast majority of us were suffering from! here's a screencap from the post @changes made earlier.

for those of you who are too lazy or are unable to read the screencaps it says: Fixed a bug that was preventing new activity items from being created when someone was interacting with a reblog that you reblogged from yourself. so needless to say that notifications should be working all fine and dandy now.

Staff has confirmed it, and I just tested it out myself. The update now works as intended -- if you're reblogging a post that you wrote the starter for, you will not receive a notification, but your partner will.

You're not imagining it -- reblog notifications are broken.

Tumblr's most recent update made it so you will no longer receive notifications in your activity feed when you reblog or interact with your own posts. This is a fine idea, but it has a major issue. If you reblog a post that was originally yours from another person, neither you nor the person you reblogged from will be notified.

Let's say Person A makes a starter, and Person B reblogs it with a reply -- Person A will be notified of that reblog. Then Person A reblogs that from Person B to add their own reply -- Tumblr recognizes this as Person A interacting with their own post, so Person A won't be notified, but neither will Person B.

Considering that interaction I just described is the backbone of roleplaying on this site, this is a problem -- it means that any threads you're involved in that your partner wrote the starter for won't notify you correctly. It is incredibly easy to miss replies when this is happening.

I truly believe this was just an oversight and not done intentionally, but it should still be fixed. I have filled out a support form with staff informing them of the issue and I recommend that you do the same. Please remember to be polite! Simply explain what the issue is and why it's a problem. You can even link them to this post if you want.

In the meantime, the best method to avoid this is to @-mention your partner in replies, so that it will still show up in their activity feed no matter what. You can also use RPThreadTracker to keep an eye on your replies and make sure you don't miss anything.

I wanted to conduct a bit of an experiment to determine what is fans consider the “best” of Attack on Titan’s musical score. To figure this out I’m doing a survey to see what they deem are the best musical pieces from the series.

Create a playlist of what you consider the best and essential music from the Attack on Titan anime. Choose what music pieces you consider to be the most prevalent to the series: what music defines it. This can be based on popularity, the frequency it appears in the show, your own critical opinion of its greatness, etc. You can expand on/explain your choices if you’d like to.

Some rules:

Choose from anything that appears on the officially released soundtracks. This includes the scores by Hiroyuki Sawano and Kohta Yamamoto as well as the tracks with vocal features. No opening or ending themes.

Your list can be as short as you’d like, but try not to exceed 20 tracks. Let’s keep it concise.

Please specify which version of the song you are listing if that song has multiple versions.

You can list them in a ranking if you’d like, but that is not essential. It’s up to you how you arrange your list.

I genuinely think @staff should give us an official Bot Kill Count where it ticks up every time a bot you reported is officially taken off by the tumblr team and when you hit a certain number you get gruesome little trophies.
