A controversial post about the Yugi twins
Reply to comment on this post HERE
Comment from @hanakoisshort
"Could u explain and talk about the 2 first pictures please"
The two pictures:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not long ago I received an ask about the connection between "eating" and "sex" that exists in JSHK in a very metaphorical way, if you're interested in seeing it, just click here
I will confess that I postponed creating this post a long time ago, but I realized that we need to talk about this. A lot of people ask me about their relationship, so I felt the need to be completely honest with my point of view about them.
Content warning: incest, cannibalism, sex
Important notes: This post exists solely for the purpose of analyzing the behavior and relationships between the characters, it is not a ship, nor an encouragement to do the same as them. Nothing I say here demonstrates my personal preference about the situation, again, it's just an analysis.
You must have already realized that the relationship between the twins is not an ordinary relationship, right? You must have found at least one or two strange behavior between them, but you chose to let it go, maybe this is a twins thing?
It will be?
Let's remember a little about what I said about the link between sex and hunger, Aidairo tends to use a lot of scenes referring to sex quite frequently and also talks explicitly about cannibalism, it's common for you to notice that cannibalism is also a metaphor for sex, like in the scene between Hakubo and Sumire, I explain it better in the post I mentioned.
Let's remember that supernaturals like to devour, eat, whether other supernaturals or humans, especially humans. It is quite obvious that the sexual connotation between the one who devours and the one who is devoured has to do with the characters' relationship.
So let's focus on the twins' relationship. They were born human, they know what it is to love and how relationships between humans work. Unlike someone who was born as a supernatural and has no idea how it works (like in the case of Hakubo).
Despite this, Tsukasa spent more time with the supernaturals than Amane, who only became close to the supernaturals later, and in addition, he encountered them very early. At four years old, Tsukasa, like any other child, doesn't really know what is right or wrong. He learned from that creature, and one of his principles is that you should be able to do whatever you want, even if it's selfish.
So, in the first phase of Tsukasa's life, we always see him blushing around Amane, it's really very common. He has a great love for his brother, but he doesn't really know what kind of love it is. He's just happy with what Amane offers him, while Tsukasa offers everything, even himself. Then, he returns as a supernatural, he returns home with that thing rooted in his chest.
He would now have the same hunger that supernaturals have. So let's travel a little to the future, we see Amane with suspicious injuries on his neck, cheek, mouth
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yes, mouth
Tumblr media
So….
Tumblr media
The rope marks on the wrists.
We still see Tsukasa blush when he looks at, or talks about Amane.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
What is Tsukasa's favorite snack?
Tumblr media
Does it seem to make sense?
When Amane transformed into Hanako, he began to demonstrate strong sexual desires for Nene, and perhaps, who knows, the desire to literally devour her, as he is a supernatural. The human part desires her sexually, and the supernatural part wants to satisfy his hunger.
Why is Hanako's appetite so strong? He holds back so much it's obvious.
So, about Tsukasa. He once told Nene, blushing, that they two are the same, this right after she said that she liked Amane, romantically speaking.
Tumblr media
So let's talk about how apparently in love Tsukasa is with Amane. Yes, in love. In a romantic way.
I know, it's weird to think about, but we have some evidence. And believe me, he's not the only one. Amane also appears to have romantic feelings for Tsukasa.
The way Tsukasa usually touches Amane/Hanako, the way he usually blushes when he's around him,… Oh, let me show you more explicitly
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, to complement, let's talk about Sumire and Hakubo. Sumire saw Hakubo as her husband from the beginning, and she treated him as such ever since. We saw throughout her arc that their relationship worked that way, even if Hakubo didn't quite understand (after all, he was born supernatural, and had never learned about love). Hakubo has killed several times and none of them were in the same way as he did to Sumire.
There is a clear and obvious sexual connotation in this scene, it is the moment when he asks to take her as his wife, she is initially scared, and the way he does it, the way he likes, devouring every little piece of her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
She was his yorishiro, and to destroy her he had to devour her.
Do you know who else is a yorishiro?
Tsukasa
And who owns this yorishiro?
Hanako.
Tsukasa apparently doesn't want them to intrude at a time when it will be necessary to destroy him. Sakura made Yashiro see what happened to Sumire after she was devoured, but she did it hidden from Tsukasa (Apparently)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tsukasa wants to resolve this between them. So, if Nene doesn't remove Tsukasa's seal, Hanako will have to devour him.
Yes, in the same way as Hakubo and Sumire.
Can you see better now?
How about if I show you this art from chapter 100
Tumblr media
Doesn't that mean Hanako will have to devour him? Remember the sexual connotation of the scene. The way Hanako is positioned over Tsukasa, the way Tsukasa's hand is touching his lips….
This position, Hanako likes it a lot…. Who does he use this position with most often?
Tumblr media
Besides being the same position in which he killed Tsukasa, isn't this a suggestive position for sex?
Tumblr media
Hahaha, I think you understand now.
Amane and Tsukasa feel human and supernatural desires, the hunger they feel (but don't usually show) exists, we often see them yearning for each other, what kind of things didn't Amane do to meet Tsukasa's needs?
So, Amane being Tsukasa's "snack" could refer to the fact that he used to eat Amane at certain times (without gravity) perhaps to satisfy his desire and Tsukasa not hurt other people (when they were 12/13 years old)
After all, it doesn't matter, he always forgives, isn't that what he said?
Tumblr media
A relationship of love, resentment, unrequited desires, passion.
So, in summary… Apparently the twins are or once were in love with each other, or at least feel a strong attraction between them. The desire that exists in them is reflected in a sexual way or through hunger. As humans and as supernaturals. They are like Hakubo and Sumire, one day Hanako will devour Tsukasa, so, if we take into account the metaphor that "eating" is similar to 'Sex', you can imagine what will happen between them.
Remembering again, this is an analysis of their behavior. Unfortunately I wasn't able to include all the photos I wanted due to the image limit
Initially, this is the impression it gives about their relationship. I didn't mention the AUS, nor the extras, which emphasize this even more. I also didn't elaborate on this in more depth because I don't know if you would feel uncomfortable about it.
It may be that in the future more information about them will appear and refute this… impression about their relationship….
Anyway, I'm going to stop here (although I have many other things to explore about this topic) because this is a response post, so I hope you didn't feel uncomfortable with the content.
If you want, I can better develop a post just to talk about the twins' relationship with this topic.

What if Narinder accidentally marrried the Lamb
(I have no idea if this has been done already, but i cant stop thinking about this)
In lamb culture, gifting jewelry signifies a relationship between the gifter and the reciever. Depending on where the jewelry is worn, it signifies the type of relationship formed.
Gold given by family is to be strung on the horns, or woven into the wool on the head. These are more permanent and intricate, with larger pieces being passed down family lines. Marriages are usually sealed with a ceremonial exchange of this type of jewelry.
Close friends give things that will be worn on the hands and arms. Small tokens that can be swapped out when friendships come and go.
Tokens from those outside of friends and family are usually charms that can be affixed to staffs and clothing, or placed around the house to be admired from afar.
Those that have been slighted put the respective jewelry affixed to the end of robes and staffs, or tied to the ankles, to metaphorically and physically drag that person through the dirt.
Only lovers exchange jewelry for the neck, and each piece is symbolic. It is tradition to propose with a bell, of which the quality is reflective to the love of the giver. Higher quality bells chime the most beautifully, and have a unique sound.
When The Lamb was given their bell, it was flawless, for it had been handcrafted by a god. When the Red crown was fitted on their head, the marriage was sealed. The Lamb did not protest, for who were they to deny their god? They were executed, engaged, married, and resurrected all in the span of a few mintues; loving their sudden husband came just as quick.
The one who waits was not suprised by his vessel's unflinching devotion to him. He accepted the golden jewelry they showered him with, as offerings were expected. He humored their honeyed compliments and long winded ramblings; they fought harder and worked longer when he'd done so.
The one who waits was completely surprised, when upon their betrayal, he still felt devotion from them. The Lamb still loved their husband, even if Narinder had no idea they've been married for the past 250 years.

Why does hanako blush when tsukasa touches him
Tumblr media
I’m going to refer to you guys as Anon-1 and Anon-2.
Honestly, this topic is very difficult for me to answer because I admit I have been blessed with a loving family and environment, so I’ve been kind of ignorant about it until now. This is a very sensitive topic for some people so I need to look up to a lot of sources. So far the explanation I got from  pcar.gov has been a huge help for a newbie like me so I’ll be using a lot of quotes from that source to answer your questions.
To answer Anon-1: At first, I thought he blushed out of the shame and humiliation he felt. According to PCAR and other sources, turns out it’s exactly that.
Sexual abuse can cause intense feelings of embarrassment, fear and humiliation. Survivors are often terrified that they will not be believed and ashamed that they don’t know how to stop the abuse. Victims often feel trapped between wanting the abuse to stop and being terrified of other people learning what has been done to them. That fear can keep victims silent while the abuse is going on, and for years after it has stopped.
To answer Anon-2: That’s a really good question tbh. I have 2 assuptions:
If my theory is correct, then Tsukasa’s demeanor has rubbed off on Hanako, including his curious perverted mind; or
It’s Hanako’s way to cope with his trauma.
... or at least that’s what I initially assumed, but I just found out that sexual abuse victims, especially male, tend to have this presumption and it really struck me.
Many survivors wait until well into their adult hood to share their secret. For many male victims, the shame and secrecy is compounded by the fear that their own sexuality may have something to do with it, or at least that others will think so. We must look at the stories of children with the eyes of children and recognize that a 10-year-old or 14-year-old boy has little language or understanding of human sexuality, and may have a very difficult time understanding that manipulation, abuse, exploitation and violence are not related to their own sexuality.
After I read that paragraph, I started to think that maybe, Hanako did that to reassure himself that there’s nothing wrong with his sexuality; that Tsukasa is the only one who’s odd. I think homosexual was looked down in 1960′s, he was feeling incredibly ashamed and guilty by it so maybe it’s his way to presume himself that he’s straight. Hanako’s perversion is always directed towards girls afterall (especially Nene).
Tumblr media
Maybe that’s why Amane is embarrased when Nene is staring at Tsukasa hugging him.
Still though. Although he has dirty mind, he tried his best for not hurting Nene.
Tumblr media
No mater how slimy he can be, he always tried his hardest to treat her better that the way he’s being treated.
Tumblr media
He might be doing this to cope with his trauma, but it’s not an excuse for being an asshole person himself.
I’m still not very sure with all of this. I could be wrong on some points, maybe I don’t do my research enough, so I apologize if I ended up offending anyone. This topic has been an eye opening for me personally, so feel free to share your thoughts in the comments!

A post about Hanene
These days I found some people talking about Hanene on the internet and how there are some who don't like this ship. It wasn't because they considered the novel poorly done, no, it was because they didn't like the way Yashiro treats Hanako.
I found it super interesting to read most of the reports, each with their own opinions and revolts against Yashiro and let's face it, most people like Hanene precisely because Hanako is the one who often goes after Nene.
What I noticed was that people weren't understanding the dynamics of their relationship. Let's remember that Yashiro was initially never interested in Hanako. She says this all the time.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"he's not my type"
What happens is that Hanako simply ignores her and does what he wants. Yashiro goes after him to make a request, she wanted a boyfriend, she wanted Teru, but Hanako didn't give her that.
He used dubious methods to make her try to win him over, but nothing too serious and we knew it wouldn't work. So they create a bond because Yashiro is naive and thought that "magic item" would make her wish come true. (naive and stubborn because Hanako said she wasn't supposed to swallow)
So she was stuck with Hanako against her will. Repeating, against her will. Or do you think she likes turning into a fish, or having to clean bathrooms every day?
She always asks Hanako for help because after she made that connection with him, she could see supernatural things and how these things put not only her but also her friends in danger. Yashiro doesn't know anything about the supernatural world so who would help her? Hanako, of course.
Then we see her saying that Hanako harasses her, and that's true. He takes on he has touched her several times without her consent. He always hugs her, squeezing her whenever he gets the chance, and gives her a kiss on the cheek too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
He flirts with her aggressively all the time XD but she has no interest in him. He's the one who insists!
Then we have this remarkable passage, the day of confession. Yashiro starts to suspect that Hanako likes her, she talks to Aoi about it and makes it clear again that he's not her type but she would be excited if he was her first boyfriend, not because she likes him, but because she wants a boyfriend! XD
Tumblr media
This has been shouting since the beginning of the story, Hanako himself says that she would be with any guy, why would Amane be any different?
Tumblr media
Do you understand what I'm talking about?
So she believes that he likes her, and when she finds out that the confession was false, she cries, but she doesn't cry because she likes him.
Tumblr media
When I saw this scene for the first time (in the anime) I thought "Wow, poor thing, she was already rejected by the cute boys she liked, and now she's even rejected by the boy who isn't her type"
And that's exactly what happened. She talks about this in her monologue before breaking down into tears. Then she shocks Hanako, who has a crush on Nene, he understands that she wanted it to be real because she likes him.
So when he hugs her she is surprised too. And it is from here that she becomes interested for the first time in knowing about his past.
Tumblr media
When she finds out a little about him, she fears and retreats, but Kou helps her not to give up on Hanako.
Tumblr media
So her confession, she says she likes him and he interprets it in a romantic way, EVEN she saying right after that he was like a friend. Hanako is very emotional, so he fell in love with Yashiro first .
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So when did Yashiro start liking Hanako?
I believe that after the confession tree she started to look at Hanako differently, she became interested in his past and even found him attractive when he took off his hat for the first time. Little by little Yashiro began to admire him at specific moments, but very slowly.
She constantly denies that she likes Hanako because she already got dumped by him in the confession tree and continues to show interest in cute boys because Hanako REJECTED HER XD
So she can hardly believe that the things he does are because he likes her, so she apparently takes it all in stride. She's had it in her head for so long that even when they actually went to kiss, she believed for a moment that she had been tricked again because Amane didn't want to tell her how he felt about her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yashiro didn't fall in love sooner because she was afraid of being rejected again. Because Hanako doesn't tell her how he feels. Even though he flirts with her or they act like a couple, she has a hard time believing it because he was already doing this before the confession tree.
Tumblr media
Yashiro denies that she likes him until the day of their separation, when she actually realizes how painful it was for her to have Hanako away from her. So she does everything to go after him and bring him back. (Let's consider that she was also angry with him because for the second time he decided to save Yashiro his way without consulting her, in addition to other factors that I don't think need to add here because you should already know)
She stopped denying that she likes him. (although in previous moments she gave Hanako the opportunity to kiss her, but he didn't kiss her in any of those moments because he was holding back)
Tumblr media
"Holding back" this is what Hanako does very often. He flirts with her a lot, but when things get more serious he runs away. He doesn't kiss her when he has the opportunity (even though he wants to) because he didn't want it to get so serious.
You know, that same conversation as always, he's dead, he's an evil ghost, he's a murderer, he can't grow up, he can't live alongside Yashiro, a cloudy past that he doesn't want to tell, etc, etc.
So they would have been together a long time if it weren't for him being so slippery. He provokes, but does not assume. So Yashiro has doubts
And let's face it, she likes to make Hanako jealous, she likes to brag to him when a boy talks to her, or she likes to make it clear to him that she's going out or doing something with another boy, or admiring Teru in front of him because Hanako can't hide his jealousy.
Yashiro doesn't care about Teru after Hanako disappears. She talks about it. She was so sad about being without her best friend and without Hanako that the entire time she was by Teru's side she didn't care.
But what did she think at the time?
Tumblr media
and Hanako would say:
Tumblr media
She wants to make him jealous.
So there is this duality between them. Yashiro is in love with him now, but she still doesn't feel the same love that Hanako feels for her because he fell in love first (and because he's pretty needy)
Then Tsukasa appeared and threw everything into the air XD
Yashiro is waiting for a confession from Hanako, so when they actually become a couple, I imagine Yashiro won't be fawning over other boys anymore. (Maybe)
She still likes the idea of having several boys being romantically interested in her, after all she has always been rejected by all of them. It's like she feels like she's worth something to the boys now.
She talks all the time about how she wanted slimmer legs, how she wanted to have bigger breasts, all so that boys would be attracted to her. And the boy who likes her the way she is simply doesn't say he likes her XD
He only said once
Tumblr media
But most of the time he talks about her legs or makes fun of her when he can. Yashiro dreams of a prince because he will say nice things to her, that's not what Hanako does.
It's like one is punishing the other all the time "if you don't say you like me I'll be interested in other boys" while Hanako is like "I'll flirt with you a lot but I won't assume that I'm in love and I don't want anything Seriously, I'm going to make fun of you like the other boys because I'm ashamed to admit how I feel"
Did you understand? XD
That's the dynamic of their relationship, Yashiro is still developing and so is Hanako. She said she's going to confess to him, and I'm interested to know what his response will be.
And finally (because I thought this post would be shorter) I hope Yashiro stops fawning over Teru, as he is Hanako's main enemy who has already tried to exorcise him several times (and for thousands of other reasons that I won't mention here ) it would be more prudent for her to stay away from him. I hope she stops being so easily enchanted by other boys when (if) they officially become a couple.
I hope you liked it :3

There's always a price to pay...
So- based on the fact that, since the only way we ever get to the One Who Waits is by dying, the implication is that in order to have gifted Aym and Baal to Narinder when they were kits, Shamura had to have killed them...
Here's a lil sketch on that concept. I think even though she'd have long since lost her mind by then, she would have still seen Narinder in them, enough that killing them in ritual sacrifice to send them to him would have stirred some emotions.

Tiny Light - Hanako-kun ED Full Translation
This song grew on me. Also I’m mad because I can’t figure out the middle part of Hanako-kun OP, and that’s the one that is more depressing and more Hanako-like. I’m almost there! That song is so frustrating and so genius at the same time, I have never had so many translator notes for a single song.
Oh, I’m into Hanako-kun now - in my defense, it’s a very cute show. It seems like every week I’m into a new thing, but what can you do?

I have to draw a lot of gold and metal for my work, but wasn't happy with any of the metal tutorials i could find around. I prefer really specific instruction, so after some research i put together what i think works as a generalist's guide/tutorial. Not perfectly accurate, but i hope it's helpful!

Can you analyze the relationship between lily and cult from dear my living dead?
Poetically tragic love, linked to imminent death. A great merciless, disastrous institution. The obligation to choose, between loving and serving.
Karuto, or Cult, boy who carries the weight of an old sin on his chest. He remembers with some constancy the murder of his mother, caused by his father.
Comparison and denial, he compared himself to the father who killed his mother, he strongly denied that he couldn't be like him, even though his chest said otherwise.
What would he be able to do to be with the love of his life? A dangerous desire, an equally reckless choice. Either they would die together, or she would die so that she could be tied to him forever, or until the last breath of life remained within him.
The lie loaded with the weight of guilt, he lied to her, because he knows it is wrong, and perhaps imagines that she would not forgive him… Or, to be more fair, so that her conscience would not weigh, "he killed me so I could be by his side, because I insisted."
Tumblr media
Sick love, possessive love, it's easier to make her just his than to imagine her far away. Gratitude for the church that welcomed him, so grateful to her that he wouldn't think about the possibility of breaking away from her rules, even if she is mainly responsible for their separation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lily could go back home, meet her parents, even if she wanted so much to stay by his side, she would save herself. But he… gave himself up to death, to avoid the excruciatingly intense pain he would feel when she left.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Unable to do so, he thought of another alternative. He killed her and brought her back, tied her to him in an eternal bond. Is there anything more selfish? Possessive, suffocating love, with no exits or windows, where death is the easier choice compared to dealing with pain.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lily, the innocently naive girl, who just wanted to be free and live with her lover
Tumblr media
Karuto, the boy with a tragic, suicidal, intensely powerful and inexplicably selfish love.
Tumblr media
Repeating his father's story, he became just like him.

The tiring love
I once read somewhere that love is synonymous with pain, that's because you don't know what kind of love someone can offer you, it may not be the same as what you offer.
It's really interesting to see how Aidairo walks through tragic love, obsessive love, platonic love, and how she manages to perfectly fit how to create this love with the characters' personalities and experiences.
The story of Karuto, who found a controversial way to stay by the girl he loves. It was easier for him to kill her than to leave the institution that put them in this situation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's selfish love, possessive love, it's what he wants, how he wants it and when he wants it. Lily would become what he wanted because he truly believed it was what was best for both of them, it is a form of love, but covered in the fragile cloak of selfishness, bordering on insanity.
It's not the kind of love everyone knows about (thankfully), but it exists in real life. The love that is built on violence, each stab represents more and more of Amane's love being forced into Tsukasa's heart, how he held back so much so that this wouldn't happen because he knew it was wrong.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tsukasa was happy, because this was the most intense form of love that Amane gave him. He would kill Tsukasa so he wouldn't see him leave, so he wouldn't abandon him, "Amane killed me because he loved me so much that he didn't want me to go, he wanted me to stay"
Tsukasa always looked for Amane's love, and even if his love was wrong, after all, killing who you love is not the right love, he wanted that love.
If that was the only way Amane had to demonstrate, that was fine with him. He saw Amane's look before falling into rest, a look that reflected "you are mine, your love is mine, you won't abandon me, let's be together" that's what Tsukasa likes, the certainty that he did it out of love .
It is a love that must be so painful, not just for the victim, but for the owner of the love. Imagining how painful it was for Amane to love so obsessively and for this love to culminate in death by not allowing Tsukasa to abandon him, and, just like Karuto, it would be the only option that would make sense for him.
Maybe Amane had other choices, but he preferred this one. In the same way that there were other possibilities for Nene's life, but he chose the worst ones, because, even though he knew it was wrong, he thought it was the only option. He decided that.
Amane knew that the love he felt was wrong, it was heavy, it was dangerous, he held himself back as much as he could. Nothing justifies hurting someone, nothing justifies killing someone, he says.
And Tsukasa, the one who longs for that love, says that it doesn't matter if what he want is good or bad, whether or not it will hurt, he forgives. He accepted the love that Amane had to offer him.
Tumblr media
He forgives.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Amane too.
Tumblr media
A suffocating, tiring, painful love, which reflects in the deepest violence, covered by the cloak of selfishness and obsession, a mortal love.
The love of the Yugi twins.
