This is part one of the Redemption comic!
I wrote this moment from the very beginning of the AU and I couldn’t wait to get to it!
This is how Macaque’s character growth and change of heart comes to its highest point.
This is the moment the monkey knew he was in too deep and he didn’t care.
After the whole fiasco of MK turning into a giant monkey again, it took some time before Wukong and Macaque sat down to come up with a plan to get the scroll they needed from Hundun.
The plan was to distract Hundun for as long as possible while MK sneaks inside the demon’s lair and looks for the scroll.
A simple plan that would have worked if Macaque knew about Hundun’s defenses.
