And Harriet may have another temporary-but-extended contract, although this could be referring to her contract from fall/winter.

hi!! idk if you've answered this already, but how many panels does the boleyn skirt have? it's difficult to tell. thanks 🥰
Eight! And it’s patterned like a hi-lo circle skirt, just cut up into the eight panels and with seam allowance added.

IRL Sixsona Designs Pt. 3: Boots Edition
Hey y'all! This is the third in a series of a few extra sixsona posts that @lightleckrereins and I are doing this week. Previous posts have been showing the real-life vinyl inspirations we used in our designs + showing the makeup plots we came up with!
For part three, we're doing the crystal colors we'd use for the boots! Designing the boots was always one of my favorite parts of the sixsona dessigns - I made each embellishment pattern based on existing crystal colors. I've worked with crystal embellishment for theatrical costumes a fair bit in my life, so it's really fun to apply that irl skill to this!
As a general rule of thumb, we tried to stick to some of Six's pre-existing styles, embellishment patterns, and methods. We did only use one specific Swarovski color chart, but the UK productions and their wonderful embellisher (@/crystalledbyjane) have actually been switching some designs to Preciosa due to supply changes.

Inspired by an ask on Lightleckrein’s blog but. Do you think there’s a chance for braids Howard to return/go across the pond? Or at the very least a more noticeably different texture
Cause we had two chances in the UK with Ellie and Monique, and with Holli’ on BWay but…
I know you’ve said before about Howard wigs/ponies especially being meant to be easily restyled but with how much variation we’ve been seeing in some of the alts, it feels like it should still be an option :0
It really depends on the country and the person’s specific role in the show (principal vs alt).
I think it's most likely to happen in one of the North American productions, particularly for a principal. That's where they've typically been the most willing to add braids or other cultural elements as appropriate. And you're right that Holli' didn't get braids, but she did have a textured wig.
I think it's possible that it could happen again in the UK for principals or 1st cover alternates. I'd guess it's most likely if the actor themself requests it in their wig/hair design consults (basically a meeting with the designer to try and make a shared vision for what the actor's wig/hair design may look like). As principals/1st cover alts only need those wigs for one role and more attention is usually put into customization for them, I wouldn't say it's off the table.
I don’t see it happening for 2nd/3rd cover alternates or swings in the UK. Those wigs got reused often and, like you referenced, I think they want to maximize potential versatility.

do you think the manila production will get the south korean set or the uk tour set?
Hey! It's unlikely that the Manila performances will be their own production. I talked more about this here, but it's most likely a tour stop on either the UK and International Tour or the Australian/Australasian Tour. If it's the Australasian Tour, I'd expect them to use the same set they use for all other stops. If it's the UK/International Tour, they may use their regular UK/touring set (which I talked more about here). But this is also one of the rare occasions where they actually might switch and use a different set for just one touring stop - in this case, they may decide to use the former South Korean set just because of the logistics of lugging the UK set that far around the world.

IRL Sixsona Designs Pt. 2: Makeup Edition
Hey y'all! This is second in a series of a few extra sixsona posts that @lightleckrereins and I are doing this week. The first post is here, showing the real-life vinyl inspirations we used!
This time around, I'm doing yet another hypothetical: what makeup would be used for each sixsona design!! My list of makeup recommendations for Six cosplayers is probably the post I'm second-most proud of (after sixsonas ofc). When I was initially working on that I kept seeing makeup that would be perfect for some of our sixsona designs, so because I have absolutely zero chill of course I had to figure out the full makeup plots for each.
The basic rules were - one glitter - one eyeshadow palette - and two additional products to fill in any gaps, as needed (this included fun stuff like an extra glitter or liquid liner, but also practical things like additional eyeshadow shades when needed or a liquid base for more sheer colors)
Tumblr media
White (swing): Colourpop palette in Cloud 9, NYX Metallic Glitter in Lumi-Lite, Danessa Myricks Colorfix Matte in Lift, Urban Decay Moondust Liquid Eyeliner in Pyro
Tumblr media
Yellow (A/B): Nicka K Pop Neon Palette in Oh Honey, With Love Pressed Glitter in Pineapple, MAC Dazzleshadow in It's All About Shine, Glisten Cosmetics wet liner in Bananas Cream (A/S): Beauty Bay (42), NYX Ultimate Glow Shots in Come Thru Coconut, Colourpop Super Shock Shadow in 3rd St, Colourpop Super Shock Shadow in In Harmony Bronze (A/C): BPerfect Cosmetics in Compass of Creativity North Skintones, Lemonhead Spacepaste in Dirty Penny, Haus Labs Hy-Power Pigment Paint in Copper Shimmer, MAC Dazzleshadow Extreme in Objet D' Art
Tumblr media
Mint (B/S): Nicka K Pop Neon Palette in Lucky Charm, With Love Pressed Glitter in Mint, Haus Labs Hy-Power Pigment Paint in Mint Matte, Colourpop Super Shock Shadow in Life Coach Coral (B/H): Kimchi Chic Palette in Citrus Queen, Slayfire Cosmetics in Peaches & Scream, Danessa Myricks Colorfix Matte in Phoenix, Glisten Cosmetics wet liner in Rose Quartz Emerald/peacock (B/P): Cozzette Beauty Palette in Blue-Green, Designer Dust Co in Water Country Flakes, Danessa Myricks Colorfix Metallics in Firework, MAC Eye Shadow in Carbon

Tumblr media
Magenta (C/H): Beauty Bay in Berries (16), Designer Dust Co in Bubblegum Bae Micro, Colourpop Super Shock Shadow in Roy G. Biv, MAC Eye Shadow in If It Ain't Baroque Maroon (C/P): Juvia's Place in The Berries, Lemonhead Spacepaste in Wine Safari, MAC Pigment in Gold, Glisten Cosmetics wet liner in Bloody Mary Lavender (H/P): Juvia's Place in The Violets, Barry M Biodegradable Body Glitter in Hypnotic, MAC Dazzleshadow in It's All About Shine, Glisten Cosmetics wet liner in Amethyst
Some credit info: Designs for white, yellow, cream, mint, amber, peach, magenta, maroon, lavender + all sixsona art featured here by @lightleckrereins. Original designs for bronze, coral, emerald/peacock, and light blue are mine. I did most of the sourcing work for the makeup, but Sofia created the inspiration + made final decisions on the makeup for all her designs.

Sixsona designs can actually be made irl part 1
The whole project started when I made this post where I was trying to hypothesize what new color could be chosen for a fifth alt costume (yes fifth this was before silver swing existed) that worked with the rest. A few months later we started seeing silver previews, but those were all monochrome. And since we didn't know the color or that it was a swing costume, or that alternates would have principal costumes I began assigning the vinyl on that post to the first cover combos that didn't have an alt costume designed for them already. Half of those colors didn't make it to the list for various reasons so I had to find more. For that post I aimed for widely available textile holo vinyl colors, but once I expanded I had to go into rarer colors and some were not even meant as textiles.
And then. Between me figuring out the sixsona colors and now. The most commonly available textile holo vinyl (which includes some of the six stage vinyls) expanded its color range and suddenly I had textile holo for most colors. Currently only coral and magenta are not textile but instead craft vinyls. The rest you could buy them and make a costume no problem.
And its so wild to see them together @sixcostumerefs and I have made a point of creating designs that could be made in real life and to just see design and vinyl side by side feels crazy. I should look for sequins too tbh.

Is Esme the only silver alt to have the Boleyn skirt variation?
Yes! I talked about some of the likely reasons for that here.

Do we know what set is being used for the German production - is it the AU/NZ set or the current UK tour one? If it is the latter, is it going to stay in Germany and the updated set used in Seoul maybe brought to the UK?
The German production is the UK Tour set. All of the UK Tour assets traveled with them. The UKT set is also specifically rigged for touring, with easier assembly for load in and strike.
The UK Tour should continue touring with their current set. Again, it’s rigged for touring. Additionally, the dimensions of different sets substantially differ, and the South Korean set was particularly large and may not fit on all UK touring stages (some of which are on the smaller side). And between both the rigging and sizing, changing sets mid-run poses some additional logistical challenges for both the tech team and the actors - changed spacing, changed load-in/strike logistics, the whole shebang. It’s not an impossible switch by any means, but it is such a complex one as to be unlikely.
I’ve been expecting that they’ll keep the Korean set available for any other international productions, or possibly for the Australasian Tour. With the new Japan announcement that seems like an obvious fit.

Wesley Carpenter's Universal Costumes!!
Y'all would not believe how excited I am to be talking about this. I've been hoping ever since Bliss 3.0 closed that we'd get a chance to see Wesley back and I think @lightleckrereins can confirm how much I lost my shit when she returned. So, without further ado, here's the costume breakdown:
Tumblr media
Boleyn The top certainly seems like it was altered, so it probably wasn't initially made for her. But it's difficult to identify re-use with Boleyns so I can't easily confirm which, although I have a shortlist of what it may be. Possible that the skirt is new. Her wig is a very typical straight wig with space buns.
Tumblr media
Seymour Her corset is Jasmine Forsberg's Aragon Tour corset** with new cups (oh foundation stains how you make me laugh). The skirt looks like it's an older pattern, so I'm inclined to think it's an old NCL skirt.* Wesley has a blonde wig with a center part and some hair pulled to each side. The rest is left down and curled. No bouffant.
Tumblr media
Howard The top/corset is definitely new, but leotard is up for debate. She has the typical Howard pony.
Tumblr media
Parr With this one we don't have the most thorough photos to compare with, but I suspect the top is Gabriela Carrillo’s tour top.** The peplum seems like it used to be Sydney Parra's. The pants could easily be reused or a new make. She has a back ponytail in the same style that's been slowly standardized for most of the North American mainland queens.
Tumblr media
Boots Wesley has the interchangeable strap/neutral heel alt boots with a single thick strap. *Note that now that the NCL run is done and all the final queens have their costumes, ownership of the NCL costumes should be reverting back to Six itself rather than NCL. **Both Jasmine (corset) and Gabriela got a new top for Broadway.

Not an ask per se but in a recent IG takeover (story can be found in sixaseveredhead account highlights), Izi (UK Tour Alt) mentioned that currently, she doesn't cover Aragon, Ellie doesn't cover Seymour, and Tamara covers Aragon. However, she did reiterate this is the current situation. Just thought it was interesting to share, and it sort of reminded me of the initial 5 tracks cover system on Broadway.
Also, it could mean that the Alts have technically all performed the tracks they currently cover, but of course there's still a chance for a full 'Swingo' since they could still learn and cover the remaining queen(s).
They have repeatedly mentioned that they’re contracted for all six, so yes it’s probably just a temporary thing. It also may be purely a semantics thing - could be that they just never learned those queens (most recent round of new tracks was Jan/Feb) and so aren’t currently eligible to cover/debut them, as opposed to a more extreme situation of they straight up do not cover/would not learn those tracks like was the case with Broadway.

Sixsona time! Cleves edition
Preview part two. I said it with the main variations and I'll say it again. Feels so good seeing this designs on this base. And if anyone asks. Yes they all have their respective leotards. You can see the tiniest bit of them in the middle.

Main variations edition (cleves tomorrow)
So incredibly proud of this lot. I am aware it is my art but it feels so wild to see this designs in something that has become in a way very iconic for six.

Meg did a performance as Cleves today in her regular costume, so it seems likely that it was Harriet’s costume.

You’ve probably gotten a few asks about this (if so PLEASE disregard haha), but my eyes aren’t deceiving me, right? That’s def Nat and Meg’s dressing room with a full Silver Cleves costume, right? I’m guessing it’s either Esme’s (worn 19 times) or Harriet’s (worn 8 times) old one but re-altered based on the fact the fact the three alternates are also getting re-altered costumes as well. Hoping there’s a pair of peplum-clad trousers in there as well, but hey I’ll be happy with whatever we get haha
You’re correct!! They’re Harriet’s, she has a different mesh than Esme. I posted more about that here and the chance that it may or may not be for Meg.
If they are altering costume pieces for Meg, I will note that it’s less likely we see Parr pants/peplum. The pants are relatively easy to alter, but peplums are more limited. It might be possible that she gets altered pants/other variations and a new peplum, though.
