First post of 2022! It’s been a busy month but a happy one. But I am glad to be back at the painting desk. Nothing like some watercolours and self indulgent character art of your own OC’s
After inktober ended, I had planned on starting a prompt list with mini watercolour paintings featuring animals, since I have loved Beatrix Potter since I was a little kid. I had wanted to keep up my good rhythm I made during October. But I got hit with 2 personal tragedies in just over a week, so it’s been a struggle to get back into painting. Hopefully I can get back into a nice grove (if life can just chill lol)
The big bad himself Vecna to end the month. I even dug out my old anatomy book for some reference for this creepy dude. Proud of myself for getting all 31 drawings done during inktober this year!
Umbrysel and Vorugal, 2 of the 5 dragons that made up the Chroma Conclave. I plan on doing something a little special with Raishan tomorrow, mostly cause dragons are not my strong suit and I chose to do 4 of them
The unsettling Senokir and angry kitty/shapeshifting rackshassa Hotis. I worked all day yesterday and got struck by a wicked headache so I doubled up today. Both were inked by hand and coloured digitally, hopefully the last 7 will be traditional!
A spooky late night digital Clary (Clarota) that I have been working on while watching campaign 3!! Cause of time zones it started at 10pm for me so I am going to be staying up late and be tired tomorrow😅
My house is partially heated by a wood stove. It’s work but it isn’t a crazy workload. Like check it a few times a day to throw a log in. If you keep it going and bank it right before bed, it doesn’t take much to get the fire going in the morning. Nothing is better than sitting in my chair by the stove with a book, with the pets sprawled out in front, and a pot of stew or cider bubbling away. Also very useful if you live in the countryside and lose power on occasion.
Electric bill is $0.77 a month.
